I had been thinking about MoD a couple days before this thread and I was wondering about his offense since we know he was one of the premier interior defenders and rebounders in college last year. I knew he was a 46% 3 point shooter on a small number of attempts per game and, based on his prior...
One more thing about Lowe that just occurred to me. With his combination of speed and passing and dribbling ability, if he had shot 40% from 3 point range last year, he wouldn't be at UK now...he'd be getting ready for his 1st NBA season.
I doubt he'll be less than upper 30s from 3 point range; nobody that shoots free throws as well as Lowe is a 29% 3 point shooter. We're lucky to have a coach smart enough to know that 29% last year was an aberration.
I agree but it's probably a moot point since, for a long time now, it's way more lucrative to win games than to throw them. Referees, on the other hand...
I feel the same way about BB. They did the same thing to him as I suggest about cheating coaches. They at least stopped
Baffert from cheating for a while. Too bad the ban wasn't national...
Maybe I'd feel differently if the removing of wins was done in a fair and consistent manner...but that has NEVER been the case. It's always just been a matter of who the NCAA wants to screw and UK has never been one of the favorite sons.
This opinion is probably not going to be popular but I feel the same way about this as I do about disqualifications in horse racing. If somebody breaks the rules take some money out of their pocket for it; don't tell us it didn't finish the way it finished.
Players without an NBA future can make millions in college after their freshmen year. Wasting a year for garbage minutes is what doesn't make sense. It's just my opinion, but I think we'll see a lot more redshirting because of NIL since you have a chance to leave college worth millions without...
This guy looks like what Zion Williamson could have been if he'd put down the pie and got into the gym. Not only would it be a huge cred win for Pope but I think he'd be a nightmare in Pope's zoom action...in either role.
