It is Concerning No Details for 5-8A Announced

5a at 3pm on a Tuesday!? 6a at 6pm on Tuesday!? This is infinitely more idiotic decision than cancelling the Saturday games because of snow. This is a deplorable fail by the IHSA. It will force parents and family to take a day off of which may not be possible for some. Most parents don't have...

    State Games postponed??

November 21, 2015 it snowed 7 inches in the greater Chicago land area with total snow accumulation of 11.2 inches measured at O'Hare. There was no cancellation or postponement of the CG vs Glenbard West game. The game was played in those conditions and rightfully so (look it up on youtube)...

    Private Schools 7 - Public Schools 1. That’s a wrap!

So easily predicted when you're over the target. Obviously the current multiplier is working 🤣. If its a level playing field everyone wants then this is spot on. Limiting players to one side of the ball will make some players think twice about where they want to go. Face it the youth programs...

    Private Schools 7 - Public Schools 1. That’s a wrap!

Here is the new solution rather than the current success factor or enrollment multiplier. All non-boundaried schools can have no more than a 53 man varsity roster. Teams shall submit an accurate roster, including names and numbers, to the officiating crew before each contest. In addition there...

What did we learn this season!?!?!?!

We also learned that complaining about seeding is comical and apparently still a thing. Insert old man yells at cloud meme here. The IHSA will never go to a subjective system for seeding. This will open the door for people to blame the system for showing favoritism when someone's team gets a...

East Side v Geneva 48-28 GAME & TITLE

Lol, don't worry there are plenty of good players around the surrounding area.

East Side v Geneva 48-28 GAME & TITLE

Lol the announcers are talking about East side players learning the system by playing JV ball. Not when you get double digit varsity transfers to come in every year. 🤣

    Althoff v Le-Win 57-–14 GAME & TITLE

Winning 42-14 in Q4, passing the ball, going for 2 to run it up, keeping your D1 players and most starters in until 2 min left. Way to keep it classy.

Why York has a great chance to beat Loyola….

Perhaps Edwardsville didn't know their opponent's personnel too well. Similar to last year their conference rival found 10 brand new starters, all upperclassmen, that were not in the program last year. As for some of the newcomers welcome to the land of Lincoln. Offense OL #51 OL #53 QB #8 WR...

Last 5 in by my calculations + 8a Projected Bracket

St. Rita seems to have a very favorable path to go pretty far in 7a

Last 5 in by my calculations + 8a Projected Bracket

According to Soucie Kenwood is the only 4-5 team in the playoffs. That means a team was bumped from 7a to 8a. Possibly Schaumburg? Things are getting interesting.

Last 5 in by my calculations + 8a Projected Bracket

Looks pretty solid with the 8a predictions. Plainfield North will be the 32 seed instead of Oswego East

Playoff Bracket Projections- Including projected Week 9 results & regional assigments

As it currently stands there are 225 teams with 5 wins or better. That leaves 31 open spots for clinching a playoff spot from 1a through 8a. 32 teams are 4-4 with very favorable match ups to become 5-4 with a win week 9. Expect some teams to move in class. There is a group of 28 teams that are...

The best IHSA Football playoff formula

St. Rita would have 82 points based on this formula which would put them around a 5 to 9 seed. Im guessing on the seed since I haven't calculated 7a yet.
