Pat White probably was the best QB we ever had...but he had the right surroundings. He was in the right system, had good running backs around him, and a coach that let him make plays. Bulger in Holgs system would have thrown for a billion yards.
Skylar had a good game...no doubt. But he can't do that week in week out because he is average at best. He is the hardest worker on the team...but just not a lot of God given talent.

Holgerson may not make it here over the next say 5 to 10 years. But it was just the right move to not fire him now. There isn't a slam dunk this guy is the man...why pay a buyout for someone like you already have. In addition, the players on the current roster want to play for him...

I think we could have traded coaches...and they are that much better than we are. You call that defeatist....I call it just fact. We have maybe 1 player that is going to be in the NFL....They have 5+ draftable players and the sky is the limit for their QB.
I get that the numbers look good...I am not saying he won't be great. But as of today...his best win is Georgia State or a 2-8 Iowa State team last year. Do you not agree that to this point he has struggled with fitting the ball in tight windows (Usually throws the ball high)? I think this...
