that Hopewell norcom game is big because both team are in the same region last year norcom won but Hopewell went on to win the 3a state champs so it's a big game for both teams for seeding later in the playoffs.
I respect your top 50 I'm just saying in general it doesn't matter where you are ranked it's what you do on the field when the season starts and where you finish.
this top 50 doesn't mean anything you have teams in their that lost a lot of players and teams who won a championship behind them and 7 on 7 you can't judge teams just by playing in 7 on 7 the game is played on the field 11 on 11 that's when you can tell.
i think Hopewell and lord Botetourt will both be very good but there are a lot of good teams in 3a west and 3a east a lot of things can happen during the season , but they both will be in the mix come playoff time.
ic norcom will be good heritage , Brookville and also Petersburg will be better its a lot of good teams that could be a dark horse team that could make a run like Blacksburg and Hopewell did the last 2 years.
I watched heritage play in the state championship game last year they were big and athletic and fast some of lineman were 6'5 300 6'4 290 6'3 280 and they lost to Hopewell a smaller team , it takes more than size to win championships just my opinion.
I agree most of the school are 6a , 5a , 4a, Hopewell the only 3a school in the poll . I think there are only 3 6a school in the Richmond area t, dale j, river and Manchester the rest are 5a 4a 3a that's why they probably do it that way.
