Watching it right now. It’s almost laughable how hard they’re pushing for 3 ACC 1 seeds. I actually would not have a problem with 3 ACC teams being 1 seeds if Gonzaga is moved to a 2 seed because there is not a justifiable reason in my book to have UNC ahead of Kentucky if head to head matchups are a factor in seeding for the committee, and call me a hater I just don’t feel like Gonzaga has the resume for a one seed. Technically the four best teams in my opinion are Kentucky, Duke, UVA, and UNC, and id probably put MSU, Michigan, and Tennessee before Gonzaga.

He ranted for 24 hours straight that Duke deserved the 1 seed in 2017. They finished 7th on the seed line. We were 5th. He barely talked about us.

I more or less turned the guy off for 2 years. Tuned in today to see what they were saying about Kentucky/Tennessee and the winner getting a 1. Bilas is essentially bullying the rest of the panel for daring to consider Kentucky or Tennessee.

No discussion of the fact that Kentucky was playing better than UNC with Travis healthy.

Nor of the fact that we beat them head to head on a neutral court.

Certainly nothing about UNC benefiting from playing Duke without Zion.

He literally said there shouldn’t be any discussion.

Guy truly is HORRIBLE.

Then Jay Williams says Kentucky is a #1 with a win today and Bilas just crucifies him for that opinion and asks him to give his reasoning. Bilas is really unlistenable anymore. It is his way or the highway.

Weird that Puke minus Zion doesn't matter for their seeding but somehow UK without Travis meant everything in their Tenn loss on the road. Then on top of that, UNCheats beating Puke twice without Zion puts them into the conversation in the fist place.

They also do it because they know the committee either watches or has someone they know watching so that they can catch up on how the year went. Let's face it, I'm sure the committee needs to cram on their homework on the season for all teams the week or two prior to Selection Sunday, and many probably default to the lazy way and watch ESPN.

I used to defen him in seasons past because he would make good arguments that just maybe UK fans didnt like or want to hear or accept. I mean, that does happen.

Somewhere along the way the last season or two hes gone off the deep end a bit. And this....this isnt even defensible. Winner of Duke/UNC is a 1 loser a 2. Winner of UK/UT is a 1 loser a 2.


If we're being honest, those are probably the 4 best teams in the country. I do not believe that Gonzaga or Virginia are actually better than Tennessee even. I dont.

That's the problem with some Lawyers, they think they are the authority on everything. He is pushing his school and conferences agenda but is supposed to be neutral. Now that he has made it in broadcasting he don't have to hide is bias, it's on full display.

Yes, they harp on this every year on ESPN with the sole purpose of hoping to influence the committee with propaganda. Sorry you don't buy this. You probably don't think Adidas conspired to pay kids to attend certain schools, or that parents pay a guy in Newport Beach to have them take college entrance exams to make sure they get in to a certain college. Nah, none of that is real, either...

Lol, he is obviously very pro Duke. I would expect that seeing as he played there. The reason he particularly likes to target UK fans is because we provide more attention and ratings than any other fanbase, including Dukes. But hey, you wanna keep facilitating the process, by all means go for it. I'm not the one consumed by it. I was just offering a way to get it to stop.

See it can work my way also. Heck, give me his job, I'll do it even better!!

(I realize that I could NEVER get a job at ESPN because I would NOT SUCK the ACC and specifically Duke/UNC)

This is nothing new.

I don't know what happened to Bilas, every since he took over for Dick Vitale he has increasingly become more of an I'm right and everyone else is not when he lets out a Bilas indignation.... NO energy or insight calling games. Boring, Dull......

The biggest sin is that you really never learn anything about the game when he calls a game. No insight whatsoever.

Even Dan Dakich is more informative that he is, I can't believe I typed that, I can't stand Dakich...... what is the world coming to....

Aww, yea. If you read my post you will see they are very pro-duke. You know, the ones I mention they can't shoot for ****, are dependant as hell on 1 player. Should have lost last night, don't deserve a 1 seed. Where I repeatedly criticize Duke for buying Zion a house and wonder why they aren't investigated for it. All sounds very pro-Duke to me!!!:rolleyes:


Maybe don't be so paranoid.
