For your supposed bourbon balls...….I mean, isn't it blatantly obvious Kentucky Owl is just taking advantage of the super premium market? There's NO WAY that stuff is worth the price, and they're exploiting a white hot market to price their product at an astronomical tag. Right?

$200+ for a product that didn't exist 3 years ago (but was "born in 1879, of course). :joy:

drxman -- if you want some, they've got plenty of it here at Dorignac's. Overspending on that **** is right up your alley, so lemme know if you need me to mule some home for you.

I respect Chad’s genuine, utter and total disdain for Carolina. Old school.

He and I have chatted about this some. I had some college buddies who were big Carolina fans and their ******** used to draw my ire. “The Carolina Way”... [sick]

For beer lovers, if you can find a bottle of Founders Canadian Breakfast Stout holy **** is it good. Easily better than the much-ballyhooed Kentucky Breakfast Stout imo.

-I popped in a local liquor store before a doctor's appointment just to see what was sitting around that might be good. There was a bomber of Canadian Breakfast Stout just sitting at a register. I asked if it was spoken for, it wasn't, so I had her ring me up.

"That'll be $23" I was too embarrassed to back off so I bit the bullet and paid for it. Plan on sharing it with my brother on Xmas Eve. Good to hear it is good stuff. I had some KBS over the summer and it was just ok in my mind.

-Best Puka Dog can be found at Tattoos and Scars’ sister bar in Waikiki. Piercings and Birthmarks

-Anyone have a good recipe for brisket chili. Smoked a 13LB for a Christmas party and have a good chunk left. I'm assuming the recipe is make chili, dump brisket in chili.

There’s a large contingent of GYERO posters that are too caught up in the UofL circle jerk to ever participate in something like that, unfortunately.

You know something, as a UK Wildcat I really hate Tennessee. But, when I run into someone that lives in southeastern Kentucky near the Tennessee state line I usually just shut my F'n mouth and trust what they have to say about the rivalry, good or bad.

You know why? Because they live it and live *with* it. Their perspective, knowledge, and appreciation of UT is dramatically different than mine being here in Louisville. This typically leads to some differences in what we think of and how we speak of Tennessee, even though it's all rooted in the same disdainful rivalry. Is Knox County Wildcat a Tennessee honk because of? Of course F'n not, and neither are us Louisville residents.

EAD and get bent. We're on the frontline, every day. Your cute "LOUISVILLE DOESN'T EXIST" campaigns and Louisville hate "week" are mere practice drills to the full on 24/7 LIFE we live. It's different. I'm sorry that after all these years you insulated dbags haven't been able to grasp that. Sad, really.

I didn't say that it happened all the time. I said when it does. Do I have to live in Montclair to be a real wildcat, anth?

- Went to both Isbell shows this weekend. Pretty cool, different mix of songs both nights.

- Tennessee will always be #1 on my hate list as I am from Appalachia and was raised properly.

- This is the first year I’ve completely all my Christmas shopping online. Really convenient... but just not the same.

- Northern Ireland for the Open if everything works out this summer... Eeek.

Having lived in both Louisville and Knoxville I can say without a doubt UL fan is the worst. The orange here is annoying but I have never had anyone say anything more than jokingly. UT fans are actually more intelligent than UL fans.

What bourbons are you looking for? Wednesday, Thursday or Friday around lunch time is the best to find what your wanting most of the time.

I don’t see the secondary market as an issue as you can find less expensive bottles and trade the value instead of spending the overvalued dollar.

I just had FedEx drop off a Kentucky Owl Rye that I got for $140, and I’m in negotiations on a trade for it already. I got a second one on the way as well.

The only people I hate in all of the bourbon boom is the liquor store owners that have multiples on a shelf at secondary market prices. That’s BS!

My office window overlooks a large retention basin. Very beautiful. It always has wildlife in it. Few weeks ago we noticed some really neat looking ducks have been frequenting the pond. Looked them up - hooded mergansers. Something about ducks, man. Never been into hunting but anytime I see a pretty duck I want to kill it. Nothing against the ducks, they’re just sorta killable, if that makes sense. I need a hobby outside of screaming at my kids games. Maybe I’ll take up duck hunting.

I grew up in far, far eastern Kentucky and we all hated Marshall and WVU (except for that year when Major Harris was pretty dope actually and we all became rabid WVU fans for a minute).

Billy Joe Vollunteer is the biggest college basketball fan in the world right now, unfortunately

It’s been a real joy hearing their breakdown of our roster instead of the normal “who cares about basketball”

Bourbon or Bit Coin

At least you can drink the bourbon.

Some states are regulated, the price of liquor is set by the ABC. Guess that is a good question, what is the “ethics” of liquor stores regarding highly saught after items.

-I’ve been out of bitcoin since before it **** the bed.

Of course your dipshit *** clowned on me while I made a profit, then proceeded to watch it skyrocket after I already took my profits.

-I’ve made roughly 2-3000 in the past few months on pot stocks and I am currently down big in 1 investment.

Far from a pro, but I have money that I don’t like to just have sit there until I build my house next year. So I get into things and learn markets, it’s entertaining and I’m not a very content kind of fellow.

-Liquor stores don’t have to have ethics anymore. They can mark it up as high as they choose, and they can buy from you as a walk-in customer just the same as a vendor.

It’s actually what the govt came up with to slow down the secondary markets.

But don’t you worry man, some time next month all your new found free time will be over.

I live in EKY and nobody I know really gives a **** about UT. And a ton of people always loved Pitino, and play the “I cheer for Louisville when they’re not playing Kentucky” card. Idiots.
