For most of the country it already is sad, for us it will always be funny. Karma *****.

Still haven't seen a live down of professional football all year, only accidental replays on Twitter or on TV at the gym.

If Rick is really missing his coaching fix, I'm sure there is some NAIA or junior college like Gillespie went to that would hire him in a New York minute if he so desired. He doesn't need the money. But, like all things Pitino, it's all about the attention he gets and anything like that is beneath him.

Mengus said today that his wife searches his name on Twitter.

Daughter is dressing up as Ralph Wiggum for Halloween.

Bought my wife a jar of Luxardos one day. She hated them. So if anyone wants a jar of $20 cherries...holla.

* Game thoughts....

- piglet is the national coy, and the game on saturday is for the sec east championship. just bonkers.
- really think we need to see more of aj rose. snell can only be asked to do so much, and i really like what he brings to the table. gotta get #26 some rest every now and then.
- didn't think wilson had a great game by any stretch of the imagination. even on the last drive, he took 2 sacks.
- our offense is what it is. just deal with it.
- allen and snell both seem to save their best for the end of the game, which i really think is a function of the opposition just eventually wearing down. you can only hold those two dudes down so long.
- welcome to prime time, lynn bowden. wow.
- after decades of heartbreak and agony, i'm not about to apologize or feel bad for that suspect PI call to end regulation. f em.

* I love racial humor, but "dot, not feather" just isn't funny. Completely unoriginal.

* Weekend thoughts....

- paced my buddy for 20 miles to finish his 100. sonoran desert. started at 3am and finished a couple hours after sunrise. beautiful finish to the race and weekend.
- got to hang out with bro and his fam. scottsdale must be the milf capital of the world, and the youth soccer field on a saturday was ground zero.
- there was a 15 year-old who finished the 100-miler on saturday. i met his mom at the start and asked if he had a pacer, and she said yes -- one of the best women's ultrarunners in the world. me = "do you know her? how did he swing that?" her = "he asked." of course. this chick and her boyfriend (also an elite) drove all the way from colorado to help some 15 year-old they'd never met to his first 100-mile finish. cool stuff.

* Dow and S&P both down YTD. Quite a revelation for some of you blowhards.

* Kentucky-Georgia, followed by LSU-Bama. Mercy, what a weekend.

Enjoy your NFL, losers.

“Josh is coming along very good,” he said. “He was out there a bit last week doing some things, and he was out there today doing some things. He’s getting very, very close…

I'd really like to see him come up the middle to flush out ole Puma right into Josh Allen in a couple of weeks.

I’d really to see them get pushed and see how many they can score. I mean Klaymplayed just 27 minutes

Is there any reason why we are playing Indiana University of Pennsylvania in an exhibition? I don't see any obvious UK connection.

-Not big on all the fan fair around the team to start the week. We win this weekend and have at it but coming off a pretty dismal performance against Mizzou I'd rather the guys be 100% locked in on UGA. Save the Times Square billboards for next week.

-69/58, sunny and leaves changing. This is a fall day I can get behind. Saturday looks to be shaping up nicely as well. 60/40 and abundant sunshine. That shall do.

-3rd worst month of the year in 2 days. Thankfully we should have some good distractions around here.

-It really doesn't get much better than Halloween as a 2-5 year old parent. Throw a couple collides in the wagon and watch little man go to town.

-I really like the 4 game red shirt rule.

-Try to keep the classics in the rotation for holidays. Last night was It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown. Christmas is A Muppet Family Christmas. Much better than most of the crap on TV and definitely a bit inappropriate in our current environment.

If there was any chance of the Dawgs underestimating us, putting GD billboards up in Times Square surely nixed it. That’s bulletin board material at its finest.

Uh, November rules. Are you kidding?
College football
College basketball (and thanksgiving tournaments)
Thanksgiving
Christmas in the air

Those “distractions” are what makes November great.
January
February
August —> bottom 3. No debate.
Absolute debate. August is great. November is trash unless you're a Wisconsin fat ankle.
