Kind of ironic that it was in Chicago that Matthews' tour bus dumped human waste all over a boat of tourists.
Last time we had Kentucky and Chicago wings committ in the same class was Liggins/Miller. All they did was deliver 2 Final Fours and a title.
We're just a couple more 5 star commits away from him dropping us out of the top 5 in the 2019-2020 SEC projections.
Awesome news! I think Whitney and Allen were coming here no matter what. If that competition scared Jefferies away then it worked out best for all involved.

I think this is an often times undersold point.
I understand the things Cal has used his platform to do has never been for attention so I understand why we haven't used it as a selling point.
But.... Haiti diseaster relief (we raised more than every country other than the US and someone else. BBN was 3rd), hurricane Sandy relief (see above but replace countries with aid organizations), the endless service to organizations like the Samaritans etc.
Cal really does teach these guys how to be Men and that life is bigger than basketball.
The proof is in the pudding. Look at how involved Wall, Boogie, Cat, Davis and almost all of our guys in the league are with their communities and giving back.

TJ Walker was asked on FB live what he thinks of the rest of the class. He predicted we get Carey and said we have a better shot at Hurt than most think.

Bottom line is that Whitney represents an elite wing forward. Cal's only landed two of those so far at Kentucky (MKG and Knox), with Whitney being the third. This is monumentally huge for Kentucky going forward.
If UK landed Carey and Mannion to round out the class...wow. Add in the elite shooters returning like Baker/Herro/Quickley.
Cal is going balls to the wall the last few months. Coach K and his Crispy Cream lovin' former assistant woke up the beast.
Jeffries would rather play at a school that will never be on national tv, and for a guy that's never coached a collegiate game.

Sorry this is incorrect. I read from the Memphis fans how Penny is replacing Cal as the King of recruiting and gets the best and better of Cal. Makes so much better sense to go to a superstar school like Memphis with their rich tradition, elite facilities, largest fan base for all of college basketball, with a successful very experienced Hall of Fame college head coach like Penny Hardaway.
