Not even close to NBC's best run. That goes to the Cheers to Seinfeld run that spanned the 80s and 90s. That was like the Packers going from Favre to Rodgers. Others would include Friends after Seinfeld, but not I. Friends was a little too friendly for me.

Shorts:

- Pumped for some good weather this weekend. Should be gorgeous- lows even touching the 50s. Eek.

- So the one thing this POS has going for him is a rolling economy and he decides to start a global trade war. Gee- shocking he would this kind of **** for no good reason.

- With some exceptions, think I’m to the the point in my life where finding new music is no longer a priority.

- Kickstart is the best energy drink on the market.

- Get me to August for a UK basketball kickoff and then college football and a promising Cats squad shortly thereafter.

- Latest book is about Caribbean pirates.

- What’s the latest on mobile dating, Slice? I like to keep up with the kids for nostalgia’s sake.

- Been watching ***** Eye which is terrific. Got me thinking about the original which Wodie Sloot used to pump in GYERO before any of us had ever even met.

- Best deal on the planet is taking your dress shoes or boots for a cleaning. $8 and they’re good as new.

- PREDICTION: By late 2019, BBdK will be a card-carrying wino. Write it down.

I feel the music take. Been a podcast only guy for a few years minus gym time or riding in the car with other people.

Heading to Miami right now with one of the dogs to get ACL surgery. She tore it a month ago in the yard just casually playing with the other dog and we couldn’t watch her limp for the rest of her days. Could buy a lot of dogs for $2K though, ugh.

Speaking of dogs, I couldn’t give a flying eff about the numerous dogs that were devastated by the odd fireworks celebrations that these dog owners apparently had no idea was coming. It’s been all over Facebook and in the paper here about how rude everyone is being to these people’s dogs. Go get a little tranq from the vet if you have a dog that’s a huge poosay, the rest of us want to shoot off fireworks and enjoy the 4th.

My mother-in-law and her friend do some small catering for weddings and such as a side hustle (hate that term btw). She’s having me smoke 8 Boston Butts for her this Saturday and said she’s pay me for it. I don’t even have a good idea of what to ask for or what to expect as payment. Never done anything like this. Strangely stressed out about it.

Watching some NBA Summerleague. Lots of 2nd and 3rd year guys are beginning to shine. Keep grindin’!

-Survived a microburst but that **** was crazy. Took down several trees, ripped the roof off the UPS depot that recent exploded, and sheared off a telephone pole.

-Tiger and Phil playing a 10 million dollar WTA match? Please televise.

-In hindsight I'd go PnR, 30Rock, Office. Only because Office really tailed off there at the end but for 2-3 seasons was unreal.

-Kickstart? F*cking white trash. Coffee is the best energy drink and its very healthy compared to that piss water.

-Crushing some Banquet Beers this summer.

-Le Tour starts this weekend :raised_hands:. Sneaky little euro sports run coming. Tour, Wimbledon, WC, Open Champ.

- Lexington's housing market needs to get over itself. $500k for 1,000 sq ft bungalow and no yard? In Lexington MF'ing Kentucky? Get real, please

- 85 and Sunny all weekend :sunglasses:

Have to call out stupid when I see it.

- Tiger vs Phil would be great. Think I'd rather see two young guns take them on in a scramble though.

Agreed Anthony, what’s wrong with coffee? Everyone is gonna be dying of the Red Bull/Energy Drink cancer in the coming years, IMO.

Because of this market, the wife and I have talked about putting our house out there just to see what we could get. It's kind of dumb, honestly. Some of these houses selling for big money haven't been touched in years.

On a related note, I'm increasingly convinced that "THE AMERICAN DREAM" of a big ol' fancy house is a waste of money, time, resources, etc. I think I've been doing too much yoga.

I'm the process of trying to brainwash/gaslight my wife into moving out of Fayette County and getting a small brick house on a little bit of land. I honestly have no more desire to be surrounded by this many people just so I can have easy access to restaurants or some other such ********.

* Energy drinks are for ******. Coffee, ftw.

* Going to camp this weekend. Buddy quit his job as a teacher to start a summer camp for kids, but this weekend they’ll be between sessions. It’s kids camp with no kids. Ropes course, lake, etc.

Probably gonna sneak in some Zimas, a Playboy, and some Marlboro Ultra Lights.

* ***** Eye is fantastic, but they need to ease up on the preaching. Equality is great. We get it.

* My dog loses his **** at the slightest noise outside, but could sleep through the American bombing of Hiroshima. Doesn’t give AF about fireworks, strangely.

* Free market economy. Adam Smith. Invisible hand. Etc. Big fan of all this, as a raging liberal.

* Tour De France starts this weekend? Check yo self, anth. Don’t get too carried away.

* What time is everyone shuttin er down today? Noon? Earlier??

Didn’t really see it in KY much but I can’t tell you how many people <50 I know that said to hell with all that working for a business for 30+ years, steady paycheck and buying a home. They’ll work until they have the funds for their next trip to wherever in the world they’re want to go. Taking off work for 2-3 months at a time is common.

They’re likely never going to own a home or not have roommates for a long time but they’ll have seen a whole lot more of the world than me.

If you want to do that, I respect it.

Community being on that Thursday lineup with The Office and Parks and Rec was just brilliant.

I will say, Brooklyn Nine-Nine is great, and should have been an NBC show this whole time, glad it's moving there going forward.

Keep us posted on dying in a fire.
What kind of kindling should I use? Is this too much gasoline? I read on reddit that you can use steel and flint to start the fire, what do you guys think? Any opinions on spruce vs oak? How long should I let it burn before I jump in? Do I have to call someone with the city and let them know I'll be burning something?

I didn’t personally set any fireworks off because I live like 2 seconds away from RJ Cormans, but my father in law came over and set off like 40 fireworks then promptly left so I could spend the next hour cleaning up my driveway in the dark.

The Michael Scott Office is better than any similar tv series ever. And I love parks and rec. 30 rock is fine. But the office (seasons 2-7) own that genre.

I’m a McDonald’s ice coffee guy but in a pinch I’ll grab a monster energy drink. Original flavor of course, because I’m a professional with a nice little 38k a year salary.

-Speaking of wives, mine shot a 52 last night in her League and took home 1st (net). :) An actual 52 too, not bad for someone who'd never even touched a club until last June. She's basically already better than Pope, sad.

-Welcome back World Cup, just in time to make this weird Friday pass by as quickly as possible.

-Looks like some actual pleasant weather in store for a few days at least?:golf:

-Any of you locals been to 'The Limbo'? Some newer Bourbon Tiki bar downtown...can't decide if it sounds cool, or just weird. There are all sorts of cocktail bars around town these days, nice addition to the same ole Irish Bars & Tin Roofs.

Thinking Dinner & Comedy Caravan Saturday night, I'm overdue to sneak in a little date night -- summer gets away fast.

-These Thai kids. Incredible the efforts that are being made, but if they're really 2 miles into that sucker and it's going to take a miracle to get them out of there -- I mean, a former Thai Navy Diver died last night trying to bring supplies.

-I don't block people here or on Twitter, but Rex Chapman is close.

-I love Starbucks Espresso. Iced Triple Grande Soy Latte is rocket fuel.

-Been drinking wine regularly for years, wife worships -- but I'll never be a wino. Lol at Chad discovering all these new things in life.

-Derrick Jones Jr. from the Heat has the look of a breakout sleeper star in a few years. Dude is an insane athlete with seemingly unlimited energy, and quickly adding polish. Held ole Marv to 0

  1. Place your tinder (dry leaves, dry bark, wood shavings, etc...) bundle in the middle of your campfire site.
  2. Above your tinder bundle, form a teepee with some kindling (small twigs and branches). Leave an opening in your teepee on the side the wind is blowing against. This will ensure that your fire gets the air it needs and will blow the flames onto the kindling.
  3. Continue adding kindling to the teepee, working your way up to pencil-sized twigs.
  4. Create a larger teepee structure around your kindling teepee with your fuelwood.
  5. Place a match under your tinder. Because this lay directs the flame up, the flame should rise to the kindling and then on to the fuelwood.
  6. The teepee structure will eventually fall, and at this point, you can simply jump in the fire and die in it.

Pulling for @PTI (pti) keeping his $25 sunglasses for more than a couple days. Shewee, that’s some serious pressure on your shoulders bud.

I might be switching to $25 sunglasses as well. The surgery for the dog’s ACL isn’t 2 grand, it’s 5 grand. [sick] Time to put this one to pasture.

Watched the France-Uruguay game from Paris. Expected it to be a highlight of the trip. Wrong. The fans had the intensity of a lower level Rupp crowd for a January home game against a sub-.500 SEC West opponent.

That said, it wasn’t apathy. It was just... French. And granted, the arrondissment where I am staying isn’t full of le townies. I think it’s just that the French just have better stuff to do than get worked up about a soccer game. Win or lose, they are going to sit in their cafes, sip wine, smoke cigs, and enjoy life.
