He also conveniently planned it AFTER the Mr. Basketball award announcement. So they didn’t have time to pick somebody else should he spurn the in-state school. He is announcing im New Albany....obviously goin to IU

Oh please, you make it sound like it's some lifetime commitment.
There's no "fade into oblivion" factor with the college choices of Top 5 one and done caliber prospects. He's merely deciding where he's spending a few months before entering next year's draft.
I really don't understand the viciousness and ill will here. Romeo Langford is a fine player with a chance to become a very good college player if he stays focused. Coach Calipari stopped recruiting Langford because of the chemistry with the family, not because of Langford's skill set. Langford himself was very interested in our program.

Nothing wrong at all with a top 5 kid who is announcing between Vandy, Indiana and adidas Midwest. I guess Baylor finally had to lay off and Arizona is waiting on things to cool down.
Don't want to hear any whining from the fanbases that don't get him. You knew what this was. You played ball. Someone just topped your bid. Don't point fingers now.
Vandy is going to end up in severe trouble with a drew. Thought it when they signed him and his immediate Cal like recruiting solidified my theory.
I'm sure he learned a thing or two about cheating to get good players like his brother at Baylor. That dude has been cheating for years and has nothing to show for it.Vandy is going to end up in severe trouble with a drew. Thought it when they signed him and his immediate Cal like recruiting solidified my theory.
The ill will is because of the ******, public shots the dad took at Coach Cal.I really don't understand the viciousness and ill will here. Yeah but if he was going to Kansas or wherever he would announce on Espn or out out a twitter video or something. He wouldn’t announce in front of his whole school that he’s leaving their state in the lurch.Duhh. He lives there.
No one else was gonna win that award. He also conveniently planned it AFTER the Mr. Basketball award announcement. So they didn’t have time to pick somebody else should he spurn the in-state school.
I’m guessing OP is an IU fan coming here to attempt and gloat about landing Romeo.
But, I mean.. it’s IU so lolz
If he picks a Nike school over two Adidas schools, even Adidas will ask for an investigation.:stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:I hope he says Vanderbilt in front of all those IU fans. Crystal ball is 80% and one is the dude from Kansas and.he always goes down with the boat so it is probably IU.
LOL at Adidas Midwest. I'm stealing that and never calling them Kansas again.Nothing wrong at all with a top 5 kid who is announcing between Vandy, Indiana and adidas Midwest. I guess Baylor finally had to lay off and Arizona is waiting on things to cool down.

If they did in fact win a bidding war and can keep from getting caught, good for them. Kid is worth big money.Indiana. It’s a done deal. Money has been transferred through Adidas. Indiana finally won a bidding war

I think VU will have lots of growing pains next year, they were garbage this year, lost 3 of their top 4 scorers from that team. Unless they have some players i dont know about id be surprised if they dance next year. Thats a huge turn around, from what 6-8 games under 500 to a NCAAT? With FR?

Will this their first big recruit under the new guy? Can’t remember his name.
See other players i wasn't aware of but FR....youll see on that front too, relying on FR to be saviors. The ACL...inevetlabley saps most players of the what they had to begin with. good luck. Second look.. your biggin up matt ryan and his 4pts per game, he averaged before VU?I think you're wrong.
We sucked last year because our seniors were huge pussies (you saw the game in Rupp they blew) and because we are transitioning between Stallings' players, Drew's players and the difference between the systems are vast to say the least.
As far as who we have back:
Saban Lee is somebody you can build around. Anybody who watched him a few times knows that he can be special. Lee needs to continue to work on his jumper (which he did, and made big improvements), but his ability to get to the rim and finish is pretty special.
Max Evans (combo guard, athletic, 4 year player)
Clevon Brown (has potential and flashed a few times last year, big athletic leaper)
Obinna (solid young big, may redshirt next year)
Joe Toye (enigma, talented, scores 20 one night, no show the next)
D'jery Baptiste (warm body)
We add two impact transfers:
Matt Ryan - transfer from Notre Dame, dead eye shooter, immediate starter from day one. Everybody raves about his ability to score in bunches and his 3 point shot.
Yanni Wetzell - International big who by all accounts is a very skilled offensive player. I've been told he will start and be a very big upgrade over any big we had in 2017.
We add three impact freshmen:
Darius Garland - Really good point guard who will be ready to play and start from day 1. Good shooter, quick, athletic, can finish and elite passer.
Aaron Nesmith - South Carolina's Gatorade Player of the Year is supposedly legit. He's a wing, probably a 2 guard, maybe a 3, but can score from all over the court. Reviews are very good on Nesmith and supposedly one of the top 2-3 shooter in this class as well.
Simi Shittu - just watch the tape on this kid. Tore his acl last fall, but is supposed to be ready by September by all accounts.
Overall, we add 5 starter level players to Saban Lee, Joe Toye, Clevon Brown and Max Evans (all of whom are solid players).
I expect to be a borderline top 25 team next year, could be better if Shittu's knee is 100%.
Romeo's family was offered a lot of money to play at IU and we didn't used to play those games but figured it was worth a shot.
Kandidas.LOL at Adidas Midwest. I'm stealing that and never calling them Kansas again.
You do know Freida's Boss is a Vandy fan right?God, IU fans are the gift that keeps on giving.
You do realize the Shittu recruitment is widely considered the absolute dirtiest recruitment of this year, right?? I'm sure Indiana paid big bucks to get an instate kid away from historical blue blood Vanderbilt.I would imagine Romeo's family was offered a lot of money to play at IU and we don't play those games so we're fighting an uphill battle for sure....
Odds are high that it's IU.
I think you're wrong.
We sucked last year because our seniors were huge pussies
Indiana State stands to be in trouble this season alsoAt least if he goes to IU they will have a chance to beat Fort Wayne this year LOL.
1987 y’all!!!
relax, we gt the best of new Albany, ind. in Allie Stumler. let romeo go wherever. Allie will come tearing ip up and lead the team to at least a final four finish.Don't matter, Kansas still has a bunch of transfers Lightfoot,Cunliff and I think a few of Billy Preston's belongings.. Big12/ Sweet 16 for sure, so I think they're all set.

LOL and I'm ok with that. Maybe we are paying players, doubtful considering what I've heard about Drew, but I am familiar with the rumors about his brother.
Is UK paying players in your opinion?
