FTR, I had zero problem with the ball going to PJ the other night.

What effed our season is Cal not pushing the pace and allowing K State to dictate tempo. As per the usual, our UNLEASH YOU coach tightens up and decides to pound the hell out of the ball with his primary ball handler when an opponent goes ALL IN and tries to impose their will. It's ***** *** **** and it's happened too many times to count. Instead of GOOOOOOO.... we got SGA walking the ball up the floor, limited ball movement, and hesitant players because this wasn't the free flowing offense they've excelled at the past few weeks. 'Ohh they flopped a few times and the ****** refs called a charge or two! Better get away from what makes us successful then!!'

This wasn't K State pulling **** out their ***. This wasn't them mucking it up them game. This wasn't PJ leaving twelve (12!!) points at the line.

This was John Calipari reverting. A blasphemous refusal to trust his players to make the right plays on the big stage. As stated before, this is the process and program condition he markets and built Kentucky Basketball on. Don't take it away from them NOW. For his claim to fame of being the ultimate player's coach, he sure has a way of injecting his fears and insecurities at the worst possible time -- handcuffing his superior talent.

They failed fast, coach. So let them decide the outcome and take your fat fingers off the button.

Grief.

Rack Geese. Cal is scared to death in big moments.

While Jones likes to tout him as a crazy free thinking liberal politically, the fact is that when it comes to coaching, John Calipari is more conservative than Ted Cruz.

How nice would it have been to have a kid like Chuck Matthews on this team? Won't ever happen because that type of of player at UK is afraid of being "recruited over".

Chad, life does suck this season. Being snarky is just a way to vent frustration, and this year we have plenty to be frustrated about. Not a person in here truly thinks Cal is **** or should be fired or any of that, but a little jabbing at the guy is certainly warranted. UK fans have never been a let the cake bake kind of fan base. Win now or f*ck you...right or wrong that's who we are. But when push comes to shove, no one in here is trading Cal for someone else right now.

Just because he's criticized doesn't mean he's hated.

Nice of Leonard Hamilton to just give up there, to call off the dogs and not foul. Hell, at least give your kids a chance.

Wow. So I'm browsing Twitter and I notice that every single Dan Wolken tweet is full of responses that are just person after person insulting him and crapping all over him. Even just talking about the Final Four is followed by a slew of insults. A little googling reveals this.

In the immediate aftermath of Tennessee's brief hiring of Greg Schiano a few months ago, Dan texted with Tennessee AD John Currie, praised the hire, and agreed to try to help spin the hire for him. Here's the text exchange...

Fair article. I don’t like Wolken, but like the writer said, this is how journalists get their scoops. It’s not like he’s getting paid off for this.

I think I have more of an issue with UT releasing emails and texts from their AD. I know it’s part of “open records” and all that crap, but I feel many texts and emails are like conversations: privy to only the people involved and gone after that.

Appreciate the grandstanding, Goose, but yeah its actually some of K State playing out their ***, the officiating and continually going through a kid who was spooked.

Agree on most of it, though.

Hamilton legitimately did not know what she was talking about the first time she asked the question.

He makes over $35,000.00 per week.

Grandstanding?

It is what it is - not tying to win any hearts here, although it’s clear I struck a chord with a few folks.

Maybe you can continue to blame the officials, too? Or faux block me, if you want to talk ‘grandstanding’.

Dana Jacobson asked a legit question. If Cal called off the dogs down 4 with 12 seconds left, he'd be eviscerated. And rightly so. If your team is down 9 or 29, you back off. Down 4? Ask Louisville if that lead is safe.

My rage has numbed to plain annoyance of the loss. Annoyed we came out and played tight in an overwhelmingly home atmosphere. Annoyed at the officiating calling everything. Annoyed that Kansas State predictably **** the bed after beating Kentucky (a la Marquette and WVU and Wisconsin and others). Annoyed at Cal for coaching like **** in the crucial final minutes. Annoyed at Knox for being a giant *** all tournament. Annoyed at Vanderbilt for being injury-prone. And annoyed at PJ's free throw shooting woes all season long.
