I forgot all about Baker, but nobody should be complaining or questioning why we are recruiting "too many" (?) guards. I mean, have you watched our team the last several years? We routinely have among the worst guard depth of anyone.

Much rather have stacked guards than 8 big men sitting over there, and as always, there's a better-than-decent chance 2 of our guards from this team leave.

I get it. I just know that one of the biggest issues with this team is that the roster seems unbalanced...a bunch of long athletic dudes, but A)No shooters, and B)No bigs that you confidently dump the ball to and know that something good(a post move, a kick-out, a trip to the line, etc.) will happen.

We're addressing the shooter issue. We'll still have enough length/athleticism at the 3/4. But with a dearth of bigs in this class, I just think it makes more sense to focus on E.J. and/or a grad transfer that can do something inside instead of another guard.

But I get it.

The Bronze Bomber remained undefeated Saturday night. The pride of Tuscaloosa took some punishment but ultimately knocked out the Cuban King Kong. Lil Kim escorted Wilder to the ring with her new hot track, obviously. #bombsquad

Not sure how much more we could focus any more on EJ than we already are -- from all accounts, the staff is all over that dude.

Your basketball posting ability must have been stored in your fat, and left with it. Better stick with marginal jokes from now on, Llama.

I love me some Dekeyvan Tandy for '19, I know that. Kid has some jets/springs, and a picture-perfect jumper. Always down to add a top 150 Kentucky kid.

“It was a great experience,” Tandy said. “I was shocked. Like their locker room and stuff is crazy. It was a great facility. I don’t think any college got that."

I had some schools that I like, but right now I don’t like no schools,” Tandy said. “I just worry about getting to the state championship.”

Well said, KyKy.

We don't drop the two home games this year every other Kentucky team under Cal wins and we are looking a bit better. Those two stick out.

Is Wiseman out on reclassification?

That's okay. He is a major Kentucky lean and if he reclassified he would just end up at Duke.

This was always going to be a down year - we were all expecting it - it was a down year in recruiting and a weird mix. THAT BEING SAID we are projected a 4/5 seed and have shown flashes of being able to beat anyone, and have had some great moments like the WVU game. So not sure why we're so pissed off about the season, seems we've reasonably met expectations, might still make a run, and are set up pretty good next year.

Actually with him I'm worried it will be the opposite. We seem to be the ones pushing for reclassify. The one thing that could keep him from UK is Penny getting a job.

I have no idea what he'll do but I don't remember an instance of a kid being able to reclassify and NOT doing it. Also, according to Tucker he really can't indicate he wants to reclassify until after his AAU season is up. Maybe he doesn't but I don't think it's anywhere near a done deal. Apparently @bbdk knows more than we do on this case.

When we lose the world is over, we're a revolving door, players are failures if they aren't 1 and done AAs, our assistants suck, has an outdated offense, and and Cal is a fat Italian loser... we need a new coach. When we win, he's a werepecker and a genius at developing young kids with talent and making sure they are taken care of as opposed to those other disgusting selfish coaches.

You kinda make it seem like UK fans are irrational.

Would think Hoak has an edge having been in the program for 6 or 7 years. If he can't beat out a 2nd Juco guy (and Barker), I'd say he's officially not very good, despite reports always saying otherwise.

Watched the game Saturday with my grandparents, both 87. My grandmother has all the sudden become obsessed with how much tattoos cost. She watched something on ESPN about benefits to college players and suspensions and I guess there was a reference to the OSU tattoo scandal. She kept harping on Giozza's tattoos, "he shouldn't even been playing, you know Florida paid for those tattoos things on his arm. How much do you think that cost? At least $500, probably more!"
