When astute folks fly into Louisville they probably notice the adjacent 5.2 million SF sorting facility, UPS' largest global hub in the world whereas you Wildcates are focused more on a UofL sign and lack of horse regalia.

-SDF has Coals now. Tough to beat. LEX is so easy though. Never more than 30 minutes from my drive to my gate.
-Last few times back to the ville were the first times I felt like a visitor.
-Cincy has the edge on pro sports. Lex has the Cats and Keeneland. Lou has the food and booze.

I generally agree with this, and have openly promoted selling everything east of 75 to WV, but Lou has done an excellent job letting Indy and Nashville blow past them.
Yep, people flying in from Chicago, Atlanta, Dallas, Seattle, etc. are sure to notice a giant warehouse and UPS liveried planes and recognize the city for what it is: a shining beacon in a floodplain

Louisville Metro (71 Billion GDP, #48) is competing with Bham Metro (64 Billion GDP #50) not Cinti Metro (127 Billion GDP, #28). FFS.
Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati all have significant positives, despite having some aspects where they are outshined by other cities. However, all are fine places to live, work, and raise a family.

Cincy has the Reds, a nice zoo in the hood, and a casino. Drive 5 minutes out of downtown then you better stay on the Interstate or you risk getting shot. Cincy as a whole is awful.

Me and my wife did a little one night getaway to Cincy last month - stayed at the Hilton downtown and had drinks at some fancy 5 diamond restaurant. Just like usual, Cincy didn't disappoint, pretty fun city.

Let's see, Hyde Park and Ft. Thomas are 5 minutes from downtown. Wildcat Freaking Chad is 5 minutes from downtown.
Bad **** happens everywhere. The more people there are, the more crime. I had a friend murdered in Lexington. I woke up at my girlfriend's apt in Louisville one time to a man breaking in through a window off the fire escape. OTR used to be a rough area, now it is thriving.
I'm sure there are rough areas in Louisville.

I judge my towns on whether or not the best basketball player in the world played minor league baseball there, and if you can sit and have an agreeable meal on a patio in November without freezing. No...I am scared of people with guns...black, white, red, yellow....doesn't matter. Yes, people get shot everywhere, but last I checked, Louisville has umpteen more "good places to hang out" that aren't confined to an area 1000 sq ft like Cincy. Lexington now has numerous places that can go without a high risk of an entrance wound.
But hell, Cincy people always claim areas on this side of the river as their own, so there is that.
Personally if that's UKO's view of Cincinnati, good. You can have him, wherever the touch he lives.
