* Found the hat in the aftermath of casa saurez, figured what the hell. It's Keeneland, the sun was shining, I resembled a barber shop quartet singer and the lassies were without stress. All in good fun.

* DVR'd the dirty 30 and enjoying the postmortem you guys are conducting. Will catch it this weekend but was caught up in playoff hockey, Capitals style.

Casual observer who's enjoyed a few games live, so not sure if I'm allowed to opine, but that sport brings the intensity in the postseason. And shew wee -> OT steps it up to the moon.

* After a few posts this past week it got me thinking - we need to do some type of BTBC fundraiser this summer. Olympics / trivia / Kan Jam tournament at the Nation? Something to benefit the cause and get as much of that crew back together for a night as possible. Tons of folks like Rudd and Wilson who've been MIA since.

* Hell of a spring KY day :sunglasses:. Little edging, trimming and seeding followed by grill and a few cold pops on the patio.

Bonz... We definitely need a El Nacion get together. Maybe we can get Wodie to make some purple drank concoction and post up in the corner burning menthol crispies
Would have to be on a weekend that Bonzo's niece and nephew weren't going to be at the pool. Recall the homeowners being very adamant that their grandchildren will *not* be allowed to be around "that man"

Babies just take your boys completely out of commission. You still see them a lot when they get married but once they have kids, they're done.

-I agree. A good old school gyero summer event would be great.

- don't be a stick in the mud. Bright socks are fine. IMO, stick with one eccentric piece. For instance floss the pink jacket but go classic slacks, shoes, tie, socks and no hat.

-the only reason they want these guys back is 100% selfish and has nothing to do with the education. You want your team to be better. Admit that and I'm ok with it. Act like it's "for the purity of the game or college athletics" and you're a hypocritical piece of sh*t.

Still can't believe Cal beat and then hung tough once more with that '96 squad with an all-Puerto Rican backcourt.

Imagine what they'd be saying about that UMass team as an all-timer had they beaten UK a 2nd time and won the title. They only lost twice that season, too. Might be the best non-UK team to fall short in the last 25 years.

Michael Eaves had an outstanding Twitter feed last night after One & Not Done. He had a great point about how a flaw of the documentary was that there weren't enough critical dissenting opinions, however most of the people who have those critical dissenting opinions refused to be in the documentary.

What I'm basically saying is maaaaaaaaaaaaan, F Pat Forde.

Surprised that there was no mention of the Carnesecca cancer rumors or his on/off relationship with Pitino. And the whole 2014-15 38-0 start didn't even get a mention?? Ok.

Thought Martelli came across really well. Love those old school Atlantic 10 stories. Just a bunch of dogs all fighting for a piece of the pie.

I even enjoyed Calhoun's take. Cal tried eveything to get attention at UMASS and it clearly irritated marble mouth CLAM CHOWWWDAH king of New England basketball. Good grief. I almost need an interpreter when he speaks.

Bill Self... STFU. Go by another round at Hoots you crybaby, POS. Yeah, I'm sure Cal is solely reponsible for you taking on taking on talents like Wiggins and Josh Jackson. You certainly are better than taking on that kind of talent.

Kansas' 97 roster was loaded. Of course they choked in the sweet 16 like so many great KU teams have.

You know what's funny is actually all the haters and people bitching about Calipari have helped him. It causes him to always be brought up and in the news, and makes people who aren't even into college basketball pay attention to him. The whole reason the 30 for 30 was even made last night was because of the hate he gets and him being "controversial". So thanks a lot you c*cksuckers.

Oh, and Camby. Class guy. Owned his mistakes. And props for NINETEEN years in the NBA. That's pretty freaking impressive.

I guess I didn't realize that it didn't even start with Camby. It started with his people back in his hometown and then Camby got sucked in. The fact he paid UMASS back was pretty dope move.

I really enjoyed where they threw in UK mucking up Duke in the Champions last year at the beginning. That game was fun.

What happened with Wagner really puts a spot light on why Cal gets them out if they are ready.

I thought Camby came across really well. I had no idea he paid the school back the money the NCAA took from vacating the 1996 tourney apppearance. It didn't go into all the details but iirc, the agent was a real predatory piece of crap who paid a prostitute to have sex with Camby and then held that over his head to go public if Camby didn't follow through on their agreement or maybe I'm confusing it with something at UofL.

Still have always assumed that Rose got someone to take the SAT but it was before he committed anywhere but I didn't know or forgot the score was brought into question during the NCAA tournament. Really have no idea what a school or coach is supposed to do in that situation.

Big weekend ahead. Spring game tonight. Not really interested in the on-field product as much as I am the mild spring night at a football field with some kettle corn and a Diet Coke. Yes you heard that right, ol b Rax is finally taking his health and body seriously.

Opening day for both of my boys with baseball tomorrow. Excited to see if my younger son is any good so I can live vicariously through him sometimes and give my oldest a break.

For some reason my wife volunteered to have my sister-in-laws gender reveal party at our house so I get to clean, mow the grass and buy food for approximately 4 families tomorrow. Good thing I am, well, you know :sunglasses:

Speaking of, work is about to pick up like freaking crazy. Got the summer booked up which means dad won't get a break until probably fall. Wife is dying to take the kids to Disney. Went ahead and booked it for October. Should be a hoot if everything goes right.

Damn is good but man good kid maad city was just too good. Nothing will ever top it. Hate that I always compare his new stuff to it. Need to learn to enjoy his stuff in the abstract.

Iggy Azalea - mo bounce tho

Basically, at that point, your kids determine who you hang out with most of the time.
All the more reason BBdK shouldn't waste anymore time.

Speaking of kids, I'm sitting in L&D with my sis who is getting ready to birth my first niece. This will be a good change of pace for the fam.

So we are getting an early signing period? That should help a lot.

-Just helped my retired uncle with his taxes. He doesn't withhold anything on his Social Security and can't believe he owes 2K. I couldn't do anything but laugh when his old *** said "no wonder you got out of accounting".

-Amir Garrett is the Reds stud ace. Man that kid has the tools to pan out and be big time.

Speaking of starting pitching, did GYERO really over look the fact that bullpens are so important because it keeps the wear and tear off the starters? A great bullpen doesn't mean your starters suck, but they keep your starters healthy which is in fact pretty damn important. Being able to safely turn a lead over after 6 innings is comforting.

Jose Baez is now the undeniable GOAT, sorry Johnny.

Unbelievable. Thank God Aaron already murdered someone else or he'd probabably gearing up for training camp right about now.

RE: Getting away with literally murder. There is a good podcast called Crimetown that I am in the middle of. Talks about mob-related crime in providence in the 70's and 80's. These guys talking about how they were acquitted on everything back in the "good old days." One of these goons on trial- his own sister was on the jury. They had priests lying on the witness stand, paying off jurors, the works. Its pretty fascinating that this stuff really happened.

Also interesting to listen to them discussing the honor amongst thieves... these guys did terrible, unimaginable things, but years later they "weren't all that bad" or "they did a lot for the community". Old mafia guys claiming basically that they didnt set out to hurt innocent people- the guys that got mixed up most likely were **** heads.

I hope Vanderbilt didn't just injure that achillies. Certainly didn't see any kind of turn/twist of his ankle.

It looked like it was his foot by the way he was holding it. The announcers mentioned he had a broken foot last summer - but didn't specify whether this was the same foot or the other one.

-Took the wife to the spring game tonight. Came back home to watch the 30 for 30 on dvr on the back patio while throwing back some collides. Feeling good about things, then read a BRax post and remember that my wife's CWS meal consisted of a bag of kettle corn and a Diet Coke. GDit. This is NOT why we did this.

-After watching that 30 for 30, it gives a new appreciation for just how much cal must hate that "earned not given" tattoo. Brad should honor kill himself.

1939: Gov. A.B. “Happy” Chandler of Kentucky was a guest at the La Concha Hotel. The governor and his party brought in a large catch while fishing with Capt. Begley Filer.

Tidbit from "Today in Keys History" from the Saturday paper down here.

For somebody who's won 9 titles as a coach, Phil Jackson sure seems like a jagoff more than genius. That franchise deserves better than this clown show they keep trotting out in the ownership/front office.
