Announced officially today.

No surprise.

Who else from Duke joins him?

Jefferson, of course.

Think Allen goes, as the talk last year was that he had been on a three-year plan from the start.

Think Giles ultimately stops letting Coach K cost him money and goes.

Wouldn't surprise me to see everyone else back. Kennard can make the stupid decision now, Bolden made his last spring. Jackson was grossly underutilized and it cost Duke this season and Jackson now, most likely.

I'm gonna say Kennard stays. He's good skills wise, but needs to get a lot stronger or he'll get abused like a female that hangs out with KU's bball team

Kennard is a Kyle Singler type player - Great in college but seriously doubt it translates to NBA. Just my opinion. Skilled but not quick or fast. Not most physical (though he fouls). Hard for him really - stay and be a college stud and hailed for another year in the ESPiN machine - or leave for the NBA - make a little cash but face reality.

Kennard looks like a typical Duke player that is easily talked into staying and hurts his draft stock. I think he returns. Allen is a toss up to me but I think he's gotta go. He's crazy though, and it's Duke. You never know.

The best part of it all is Duke has really exposed themselves with bigs (again) and development. It's going to hurt them. I think K's run is about over and if Kennard and Allen both leave, along with Tatum and Giles, they're done next year. Miss Duval and Knox, they'll fight for the ncaa's.

Kyle Singler has been playing in the nba since 2011 , now with okc for the past three years.
I'd say he tran$lated quite nicely.

Long time getting there - didn't start in the NBA. decent role player now - but not a star by any means...

He needs the money. A cure for male pattern baldness won't come cheap.

If Kennard and Allen stays and they add Trent and Carter they will be good. Lets not get crazy. They are still pushing hard for Knox and I think still trying for Duval?
I was as skeptical of this year's Duke team as anyone, but if they landed/retained all of those guys I would buy the hype.

So they'll run a 3-Shooting Guard lineup, a shoot-first "pointguard" in Jackson and Carter?

Kennard or Allen is leaving. I think Kennard has a better chance at the NBA than Allen, and he can hit his shots. Allen has head issues and his shot is much less pure and more inconsistent. He also blew his chances on draft money, where-as Kennard didn't.

I think Kennard sees all the above, sees that he's a fringe lottery pick, and bolts.

But honestly, I'd love watching them try to appease Allen, Kennard, Jackson AND Trent for next year. That's gonna blow up so quick..

No disrespect but so what if he isn't a star. He's making bank being a role player in the pros. Sign me up yesterday for that type of gig.
Yeah, I was going to say the same thing. There are like 10-20 stars in the pros, why do you have to be one of them to be thought of as a success?
Heck, just playing any minutes at all in the NBA is a success for most.

Bet my life Allen and Kennard return
I would like to take that bet, but I can only put up my posting privelages for a week, will that match what you're putting up?
My wife has my life all planned out, so unfortunately I can't bet with it.

This year was the same with Matt Jones in the mix. That is why K will not have a SF again and if they get Knox, he plays the 4.

Quick, name at least two Duke players thriving as a star in the NBA, I can only think of Kyrie.

isnt that on the player? The coach did his part by HELPING get the player into position to succed. How far into a players NBA career is a college coach to blame or get credit for a players success? At some point, it has to be on the player.

I'm probably off topic, I just know as UK fans, we have many stars, rising stars, my point is Duke doesn't.

Duke will have Carter,Bolden and Jeter on roster next year possibly Giles .How can Jeter and Bolden justify staying if that comes to pass?

Kennard is projected as a first rounder. No way he stays.

Giles is also - gone.

Allen is a distraction, so please let him stay, Coach K.

Isn't Jefferson a senior?

Believe the NBA Combine is in mid May imo Luke's decision will be based on his input from that.I think he should go if he gets a first round grade.Grayson is a mystery because do not think he is in the first round. I do know if he would want to come back and take the abuse and ridicule

Kennard is borderline 1st round and Allen is a solid 2nd round at best. Mix that into the K persuasion formula and that equates to them both coming back.

I think their entire backcourt comes back plus Bolden finally getting to play. Given the fact they play in a sub-par conference, they'll do well once conference play starts and end up with a top 3 seed again...and then another 2nd round loss.

I think Bolden will leave one way or the other. Carter is playing center because K will play small ball. Jeter should have left last year when they recruited over him.

Think Bolden might declare for the draft but cannot see him transferring and delaying a possible NBA career for another year
