Hopefully that was just post game adrenaline still talking. Rivalry aside, he's likely a top 25 pick- unless you are going to make a big jump next year, go get paid.

He's awful, and his kids act like complete maniacs when things go against them. How Jefferson didn't get T'd up or tossed is beyond me. Screw the whole lot of them.
That and Kennard's sequence of 3 "UNBELIEVEBALE GOOD SIR" scream/shrugs in a row in the span of about 2 minutes.

I wonder where Collins learned to spaz out like he did against Gonzaga? Weird.

Mitchell projected to go 21st by Draft Express.

Bam projected to go 27th by Draft Express.

So, I either expect both of them to return, both of them to leave, or Mitchell to leave and Bam to stay.

This is true especially considering that UofL is under NCAA investigation due to whores, and UK is not.

(Spoiler alert: Bam is leaving and Mitchell is coming back.)

If you want to kill your buzz go ever to ESPN and read how Metcalf thinks UK is the 10th best team left!
1) Myron Metcalf is a ******* moron. Which probably explains why he still works for ESPN (as a "staff writer" o_O) when each and every one of his peers have bailed to cash in on some paper....#troof

2) Sports journo's are the absolute worst breed. Last week, it was uconscionable how the NCAA gave Wichita State a 10-seed, when they should've been a 4 or 5. Now, and because UK beat Wichita State by only 3pts, it's obvious that UK must not be very good and will get wood-shedded by UCLA. #logic

Bottom line, eff UCLA, eff UNC, and eff anybody else standing in our way :boxing:

Re: the game... Ball is the real deal and probably the best player in the country BUT HAVING SAID THAT my gameplan would be to let him get his and stay the eff out on everyone else, especially that Welsh alien. Let Ball get his 30 points. The worst thing for us would be for him to put a stat line up of like 14-8-9 and just decimate the defensive scheme with his lobs/kickouts. He sees the floor so well he'll make the right play 95% of the time, so let him be a scorer. It's well documented that UCLA can make shots so don't make it any easier than it already is.

If Ball beats you he beats you. For the love of God, we don't need 3 guys over-helping at the rim leaving coach's son wide open in the corner. Hopefully Cal will go at them little differently now that the season has played out and there's much more tape on them.

I like our chances, tbh.

Looks like that 2006 game vs. Bucknell or whatever isn't having much effect on Kansas 2017.

It's KU or Zona. Those were my 2 favorites going in and still there. Ball has an argument for best player but so do Mason and Jackson. Jackson is probably the scariest.

* If there was ever a game for Hawkins to start over Briscoe. I get the size disadvantage Hawk has on Ball, but he'll keep that mf'er out of the lane better than any defender we have. Plus, I'd rather have Fox, and his long reach, checking Alford.

* Welsh scares the **** out of me. He's a terrible match-up for Willis (and heaven forbid, Gabriel). Expect to see a ton of Ball/Welsh pick-and-roll. Willis better bring is f*cking A+ game, or we're in for a rough night.

* We're also going to need decent minutes from Izak. I think Bam is in a much better position to check TJ Leaf than he was in December, but remember Anigbogu killed us on the boards down the stretch at Rupp, too.

The only person id feel comfortable and trust on Alford is Hawkins. No one else would be able to stay with him.

If we can start with not switching on everything, even token screens, that will go a long way. That was inexplicable. UCLA was essentially picking their matchups and then isolating in the second half. Pretty confident Cal knows not to do that again.
I think we still switch on just about everything

I'm already dreading watching Gabriel **** out 8 minutes. Weirdly, Humphries might actually be able to do something against UCLA but they are both terrible.

Just awful. I mean Derek Willis is our second best inside presence and he can't even shoot any more.

Cal has adjusted defensively with this bunch and allows more hedging than switching everything like he did at the beginning of the year.

Bam has improved out on the floor guarding players when they do switch.

The best defensive adjustment has been telling Bam that under no circumstances is he ever allowed to foul.

He doesn't even attempt to contest shots now and good, because we have to have his brawny *** on the floor for 35 minutes a game at least.

Willis' shooting is fine. He's at a 44% 3 point clip since March, not really seeing much of a problem there.

Really digging all the "Duke was a flawed team and we should've known it all along" hot takes from CBB writers that I'm seeing.

24 hours ago, all those pasty nerds were picking the Blue Devils to win the whole thing. Now, they were "flawed" and those socially awkward journalism majors "knew it all along."

Idiots.

Anyone who knew anything about basketball knew going into the season that their lack of a true pg and inability to defend could derail the super team. Better than 2015 Kentucky my ***.

I could of swore I heard one of the ESPN experts during our NBA combine say that Bolden will be better than Okafor.

The amount of "told you so" takes that would have rained down on the public if Duke had gone on a run would have been nauseating. Even if they had managed to somehow win it, I don't think an 8 loss season mired with chemistry problems and virtually no contributions from two of their stud freshmen equates to what we were "told" in the preseason. An all-time great team just does not have those types of issues over extended periods of time during the season. Of course, good luck convincing Preston J. Sportswriter that winning a title does not validate the claims of all-time greatness after an up and down regular season.
