#1 ranked team you've ever seen? I swear those guys don't pass the eye test at all for me. They're barely squeaking by terrible teams like Oklahoma State and TCU. Honestly, if they were in a real conference, they'd have at least three losses by now.

Kansas didn't get the top spot in the AP because they've looked so bad. They could realistically have 5 or 6 losses right now.
Let me ask you this: why would I trust a bunch of crooked, non-athletic, Hilary Clinton voting, quinoa eating writers? The real poll has them at #1.
Just reporting the facts, good sir, just the facts. I actually think Kansas is pretty tough outside their last couole outings. Their Def is a little soft, but the Off is good.
The poll that uses actuall metrics, and not biased humans, has them at 7 (Pomeroy).
So yesterday UMM compares the SEC to the ACC and now apparently the Big 12 isn't a "real" conference.
This is kind of the point of this thread. When it comes to Kansas, the gap between where it falls in the human rankings and the advanced metrics is enormous.
These threads are gonna bite us in the *** if we lose.
TCU is going to make the tourney . They arent terrible. But yes they arent a top 3 team. Top 5 sure .
Well they have won 16 in a row. We will see what happens in the coming weeks. I see them losing at WVU and at UK.
Heard on the radio this morning that Kansas has not played a rank team since duke in November. And with there one loss being to IU it's really hard to figure out if they are for real or not
Kansas is pretty good even if we dislike them. Badmouthing them won't make them stink it up against us but maybe our guys can take them apart for us.
Could you not say the same thing about us? Not counting MSU cause that was obviously wrong, we've played UL, UCLA, and UNC. Im just saying that we only have 1 quality win also. So, you could say the same about our team. That's all.

Kansas will lose the top spot when we beat them if not before. UCLA would get my vote as #1 at this point.

The ACC and Big12 are the two best conferences in basketball currently.
It says something when the pre season human polls are more indicative of tournament success compared to the ending human polls. That means with more data they somehow manage to get worse. It's cause of the overreactions to every single loss
4. UL, UCLA, UNC and Michigan State. UK will face a ranked team this coming Saturday, and the one after that. We also two games against FL. So we probably face 8 ranked teams (who knows who we face in SEC Tourney) for the season. That is a 25% clip.

We played a rank team just 3 weeks ago, Kansas hasn't played one in 2 months now. And what I'm saying is we have a pretty good idea how good our team is right now because we can look back at the UCLA, UNC and UL stretch of games. We have no clue on Kansas because the last rank team they played was a Duke team that was also more depleted then it is now
The way we look defending right now I'd say Frank Mason is licking his chops. I honestly can't stand watching him play but he does get to the rim at will

KU has beaten nobody other than a depleted Duke bunch of misfits. The losses to KSU & OSU were pretty bad. A 3 loss team that has beaten crap should be ranked at best around 20 & that is where the fake birds with the coach with fake hair should be ranked.

We only have 1 quality win on our schedule thus far is all I was saying. That's what I meant by saying you could say the same about us. The KU game will be a big test. Glad it is at home this year.

Yes, because Bolden and Giles have been immediate impact freshmen. They were a better team before Giles, Tatum and Bolden entered the rotation. They are replacing productive players with unproductive players, other than Tatum. But Tatum gets his at the expense of their offensive flow and is not a strong defender. Regardless, you're replacing one offensive threat with an equal offensive threat, so there is no incremental impact of having Tatum in or out.
Kansas is a good team, maybe not great but good. Losing their other big will hurt them but Lucas is capable of keeping bam in check. I think we beat them at rupp since we had a vasstly inferior team last yr and almost beat them in Kansas but it's a big game plus Knox will be in the house watching the game so it's a must win X 2.
Kansas is a Top 5 program / team year in and year out (although this doesn't strike me as one of their better teams in recent memory). Great regular season team that struggles and usually flames out earlier than they should in the NCAA Tournament every year for whatever reason. Not sure if Self tightens up in the tourney and projects that anxiety onto his team or what.
