We don't just need Monk to plat second half, we need him to find his shot. Was a little off even when he was in the game first half.

I would like to see Fox and Briscoe push as hard as they can in transition, but if isn't there let's work it in to Bam or out to Fox.

Snider and Mitchell hurting us with the three, two average shooters turn in to dead eyes today, I knew it would happen though. Snider also hurting us driving, didn't see that coming either because he's not that great. Wenyen is lost out there, kind of expected.

UK is only 39.4 percent from the floor while the Cards are shooting 46.7 percent. Cats are hanging in at the FT line (11 of 13).

We've struggled shooting big time, Monk riding the bench 1/2 the first half and we're
being out rebounded, all while the Tards are pulling **** straight from their bird rectum.

All that and we're in the lead in the Prostitute Center. No way do they Tards shoot practically
50% behind the arc in the 2nd half.

On track for about 112 points unless UL starts hacking and grabbing. Surprised they haven't yet.

Of course as soon as I said that UL starts playing more aggressive on defense. Especially on the inside against Bam. I don't recall a single foul called on them while guarding Bam.

We scored 17 in 6 minutes and 23 in the next 14 minutes. Hopefully Monk gets the outside shot going and force UL to get off Bam's back.

Lol at the Willis hate. He hit a couple shots and pulled down 3 boards, Gabriel had a couple points and 5 boards.

That spot has 7 pt, 8 rebs. Fine production.

Guards need to stop going under screens and the bigs need to avoid helping off their men when the guards look beat...our guards have enough speed to make up ground.

all things considered, this could be a whole lot worse
we're shooting below average %-wise, scoring below average, not rebounding well and Monk was on the bench for a large chunk of the half

Settle down, play some defense (especially on the perimeter) - we might win this thing

The problem is they could continue to shoot like that if they continue to get wide-open threes, Kentucky is guarding it the same way they guarded the threes versus UNC and UCLA. Eventually they might have to just switch the screens or tell the Bigs to hard hedge ( which they should be doing to begin with )

Will UL hit 6 more 3's in the 2nd half? Again, they had to do that to stay close, and with Monk sitting almost the last half of the half. I am not sure how any UL fan can feel great about their odds.

Our 3 point defense is as horrible as I have ever seen..at any level. Willis has been a major disappointment so far this year..I don't know how much longer he can keep getting major minutes. He doesn't contribute much on offense and his defense is awful. Fox is either doing great things or settling for terrible shots and bad defense. Briscoe played terrible. Good news is we are still ahead with Monk on the bench for the majority of the 1st half..and with how poorly we played. Can't keep letting Snyder look like a Wooden Award candidate though..that's ridiculous.

Of coarse we have a few players ( Briscoe / Willis/Humphries) that can never do anything right according to some fans . And when they do like how Hump won the game with 2 defensive plays these same people say nothing. I laugh at it to keep from punching my computer :joy:

Decent half for us, handled the environment pretty well but made mistakes on D.

Didn't have a great feel going into this game and still don't. Will be a very solid win if we pull it out, imo.

I wish I could remember the two guys who last night said they would bet each other that monk would score more or less than 20 points. It's 100 bet. I know I could go find the thread but like Karl towns walk I'm lazy

I've seen several games, believe me, they're not a good enough shooting team to put two halves of H.O.R.S.E.
(although I guess they play W.H.O.R.E.S.) together - the law of averages will balance out the 2nd half.

I will say this.

They look far more mature than when we got down to UCLA. They settled down and made some good plays. Then they got out of control again.

However, it is against top 10 team...so it's not like i expect it to just simply go away.

I'm not sure I'm watching the same game as others some people seem to think that Snyder is scoring on one on one move past the guards, when in actuality he it's going off of screens with the big either hedges to Softly, switch and are too slow to keep up with them, or they don't allow the guard time to get back to him

BKO,
Thanks for the halftime stats . Stupid ESPN kept saying Fox had 16 and Briscoe 2
I knew Briscoe had 4. You just confirmed it.

Louisville shot better than they have all year, and will resort to mean as their legs get tired in the second. Calipari will straighten out Fox, Monk will come back in well rested ready to make up for the 1st half, and Bam will come out with steam coming out of his ears, after that blatant foul & Manthiang's mouth running. We haven't seen Bam play angry ..........................yet.

We got this. Go Cats!
