Every single person I know in western Kentucky despises IU basketball. I think he respects them, but I wouldn't confuse it for a similar type of love some Louisvillians try to suppress for the Cardinals. **cough, 73, cough**

I can't say that Indiana is the team I hate the most, but I can say that Indiana is the team that I have the most fun hating, if that makes sense. I feel like there are quite a few of us in this thread with a similar train of thought.

Kind of indifferent. Growing up couldn't stand Knight but respected the crap out of his coaching ability. The old man and I would make the trip to Indy every other year going back to the Big 4 Classic to watch that game in the RCA Dome. Loved that atmosphere.

Then kind of stopped caring about IU after Knight left.

My fire against them got going again after the way they acted in 2011 based on the stories I heard. IU is an intestine place.. An odd combo of rural Indiana folk with a heavy influx of Chicago & Northeastern kids.

Man UCLA takes a lot of threes. Looking at the box score from last night almost half their shots were from behind the arc shooting 48%.

Looks like the over/under for Saturday's game is 144 or 145. That seems like an easy over. I'm guessing the only thing holding it back is a potential UK lockdown of UCLA.

Lol. Yeah, I secretly love IU. [laughing][eyeroll] I'll be rooting for Cuadz against them in a few weeks, that's how much I love them.

-Well said BKH, I get it.

-Hate is UL> IU=UNC=DUKE then some group of UCONN, Cuse, KU, UT

-Trip was amazing again. I really love that place even though it is ridiculously expensive, at least in the area/way we go. Assuming if you stay in a different tower and don't eat in the resort restaurants every meal it would manageable because the flights aren't bad at all. If Cal is serious about returning frequently we saw a ton of families turning it into a vacation. I would suggest it. Lots of BJW's this time.

-Shew, that Cove pool. Friday and Saturday the actual talent is >= most Vegas pools and it gets a little wild. Thank you, Jesus for expanding the Brazilian cut bikini craze. Goodness.

-Partied late into the eve on a couple notable UL boosters tab with a couple notable staff members after a 22pt blown lead. Must say they were nice dudes. Probably a bad call to go that hard right out of the gates though. I was toast by Sunday am and in full grind mode.

-Saddled up at the Sportsbook to watch the 1st game with about 20 UK fans, gambol, demestos, hand slapping, etc. Watched the football game pool side after the running around the entire resort realizing they didn't have ESPN(WTF), found some dude in a bar watching it on funchester. Laptop poolside, the UK peeps showed up around 1/2 time, celebration got a little wild, lots of hand slapping and champagne. Jon Blue and the other UL fans still lingering did not seem amused.

-This reality D list chick was around the pool with her minor league pitcher BF all week. Shew, she's unreal and in some very choice swim wear. But check behind her, a notable lurker made people mag. :joy:

My county is getting a brand new, modernized Gold Star Chili restaurant. That's unbelievable.

We once had a mall in richmond, with a real food court and everything. Many years after the mall was all but vacant, the Gold Star still remained in the lonely food court. Them and Opals. Even after the Cinemark left, the coneys stood strong. Then they left and the fed contracted killer mustard gas workers took over half the mall. Old people walk there now. There was a hurricane simulator there for a couple years LMAO. That's what you do in richmond to escape. Pay money to pretend you're in a hurricane then go and get a coney.

I hit that Richmond Mall Gold Star once a week in college. The sesame chicken at that little chinese joint across the food court from it was money, tho.

Atlantis is an awesome place. It's been since 2002, but I remember it well. Awesome, awesome place to go. The only thing that was lacking back then was late night entertainment outside of the casino.

They still calling the bridge room the "Michael Jackson Suite"?

Honestly, if UofL is not at the top of your hate list, I question your fandom. Second, last night was weird in pulling for UNC (the only other time is when they play UofL) because it's Assembly Hall and mostly because I wanted Dec. 17th to be a glorious day of braggadocio after we humiliate the TarHeels. That being said, UNC should always be number 2 on the hate list, not Duke, not IU. The media has always made UNC the white hat program and us the black hat and this fraud has been perpetrated for 35 years.

Tell Alvie at Rum Runners what up, Chad.

-That Baha Mar project, which was supposed to make Atlantis look like the Holiday Inn -- LOL. What a mess.

Listen to a lot of podcasts as I've mentioned a million times. I hate most sportswriters, but have a real loathing for millennials and, to a broader degree, women. If they stay on the periphery, they're fine. Just regurgitating facts they read, giving obvious, vanilla opinions. They can fool you, but as soon as they dip a toe into the deep end, Smart Fan's WTFometer goes off. It's obvious they have no clue what they're talking about. Listening to Lindsay Schnell- SI's #2 CFB writer on Feldman and Mandel today. Among her brilliant takes:

- Oregon was foolish to fire Helfrish.
- Oregon is a better job than Florida.
- Oregon should hire Holgorsen.

It was like listening to Youkay during Tubby's last days. Mandel and Feldman, being the media progressives they are, were delicate but even they were correcting every take. Again, this is SI's #2 in the second biggest sport in America.
