Scalper market may be a little different but I've never seen a group of people come to our tailgate looking for tickets leave without tickets... and typically for free. Can't convince me with a little effort you can't get 5 tickets for less than $200.

The water pressure around the entire stadium area at Bryant Denny was basically not working so they actually made a public announcement asking patrons not to use the bathroom.

Obviously this didnt prevent people from using the bathroom it merely prevented people from flushing. So maybe in that regard, the NFL has a leg up on college.

Have the rest of you jumped on the Hikatuni hate bus? You need to- one more prime time game and its gonna fill up quick. He's hateable AF.

I signed up for ReplyBuy and have been offered uppers for $35 flat to every game so far, that's the best way to go. I'm sure you can still get tickets to an SEC game for $20 or $30 a piece, but it's a lot more work than it use to be.

If you can't get in a Vandy or Miss St game for under $50 per when we suck, that's your own damn fault, TS. There were 5-10K (or more?) empty seats Saturday night, and about 25K empty for Vandy.

Doesn't matter how many empty seats there were. The fact is almost all of those empty seats had unsold tickets. So UK had all of those tickets available at resale at the ticket box for $60/pop.

10 years ago, those seats were season ticket holders who were dumping their seats...but their total investment in the seats was $150-200 for the season, so no one gave a ****.

No one is going to pay $60 for an upper seat to watch Kentucky vs. Vanderbilt, or MSU on a cold Saturday night.

2. Future Enterprise clerks playing in the secondary. This is the biggest source of entertainment and shootouts, imo. Outside maybe Alabama recently (outside their kickers), every college team has guys out there who you can count on to have some tremendous touch ups- blown coverage, missed tackle, DICKFINGERS, etc. that leads to exciting plays/turnovers, etc. A lot of these guys play on special teams- leading to fun punt/kick returns and/or blocks- or are the 5/6 DBs in nickel and dime packages that become the standard defenses in some games. The NFL, outside of maybe Cleveland, is usually filled with pretty good players at every position so while the quality of down to down play may be better, it's not as entertaining as watching a future State Farm regional rep trying to cover Peter Warrick.
I agree with all of this RE: College football > NFL.

I also agree with all of this RE: NBA > College basketball.

College basketball doesn't have the luxury of the guaranteed awesome game on a Friday between random Pac-12 teams like college football always has. There are must-see Pac-12 basketball games on Fridays, but that's usually because Bill Walton is talking about the ability to smell and taste concepts that have no smell or taste.

Also, the rules in college football favor offenses. So do the rules in the NBA. College basketball has the charge as its signature play.

-So I guess the tickets being limited is the low number of season tickets on the market. Right now we must only have season ticket holders that are die hard. OH well, still think you could get in cheaper if not free.

-UT is basically setup to win the East unless they don't have enough players. USC, Vandy, UK, Mizzou are the only teams left. UK should go 1-3 and UF should go 0-3 /1-3.

-Speaking of UF, I feel like they haven't played since the UT game. Are they playing this year?

Pro football is also pretty much the exact same thing across the board, with varying degrees of talent. Sure, there are some granular level differences that Jaws and Merril Hodge's Windsor Knot can break down on Sunday at 5AM, but to most people every team is running the exact same plays. Some just have shittier players than others

someone on twitter yesterday said it best, unless you a freak into fantasy football or gambling, or grew up in a city with a franchise & are a lifelong fan there isnt a reason to watch the NFL product anymore. too much rules tampering, game interruptions, bland personalities, and mediocre game play. if someone tries to step up & be an interesting entertaining person like Deon & Irvin did in the 80's & 90's they are slapped into place by the HOT TAKE sports media culture.

college football is to blame as well, there are games somewhere on Saturdays that are so crazy week after week. plus the HUNM spread systems everyone now uses, even Bama, have starved the NFL of quality pocket passing QB's. Peyton was an absolute useless armless lego neck at the end, but if he wanted he would have had 4 or 5 teams begging him to be their starter. college QB's look to the sideline, take the snap, hand it off/keep it/throw to designated spot in 2 seconds. zero learning about reading coverages or going through 1st/2nd/3rd/4th options.

* Fantastic win. That's the type of game we always lose. Always.

Especially after Baker dropped a winning TD. It's time for that kid to start producing.

* I can't help but like DickFingers Johnson despite his limitations. Hell, the kid would've thrown for almost 400 yds if Baker doesn't drop that bomb and if Juice doesn't have his 2 drops.

* Our running backs are legit. Love 'em. And our OL is really improving.

* SEC East is complete garbage. Can you imagine if we find a way to win it? Never mind, too stupid to even consider. My bad.

* OSU loss kept me from getting laid Saturday night. I had the fire pit ready and a bottle of vino in an ice bucket out on the patio. Wrong. They lose & she goes straight to bed.

The good thing is that if things fall right from here on out, the Big Ten could be left out. Unlikely, but possible.

* Speaking of ridiculous ticket prices, I was looking at my Bball season tix yesterday. The UCLA and Kansas games are $110 each. For uppers. All of the Saturday SEC games are $65.

That buys a lot of milk & toast.

* The gays who live diagonally from me and have the same exact house design as me hang a Mizzou flag every Saturday.

Not surprisingly, their landscaping and lighting look straight out of a Home & Garden magazine. Perfection. Bastards. I am going to take great pride in planting a UK flag in the middle of their finely manicured lawn after we win.

* BBall Cats... shew wee. Fox is fast. I'm looking forward to giving other teams stitches instead of friendly fire. Gonna be fun.

* Have a great week, GYERO.

I know everyone is saying the NFL is awful right now, but - man - the NFL is awful right now. You basically have the Patriots (who really aren't that great themselves) and a bunch of mediocre to garbage teams. That Arizona-Seattle game last night was an abortion. The fact that it ended in a 6-6 tie after both kickers missed chip shot FGs was the most appropriate end to a game you'll ever see. Pure solid butt.

I agree, but its no different than college football. You have Bama then basically a handful of mediocre to decent teams followed by about 110+ teams that would have a hard time competing against the top high schools in the country. But, its really exciting because 86 teams make a bowl, most of them with a .500 record.. Its a really cool system.

I think finishing 2nd in the SEC East would be more positive for the program than winning it. Playing Alabama would completely erase any good vibes imo.

In college football, you're guaranteed wildly entertaining and dramatic games every Saturday. If the NFL produces one of these a week, it's a borderline miracle.

I agree and hope we *politely decline* an invitation to the SECCG.

Oh, and any bowl played before 1/1/17 can EAD, too.

Hopefully Kemp is healthy for Saturday because we need to run the ball every single down.

Johnson throws a damn duck on nearly every throw so its hard to get pissed at some of the drops. Baker has been terrible but hard to get mad at him not pulling that one in.

Also, we aren't winning the East (or 2nd) and will do good to be bowl eligible.

- Redzone Channel is just about the only way to watch NFL now

- We bought our tickets for $30 through the season ticket holder's offer -- our seats were high and on the 15 yard line but after the first quarter we moved down and over to the 40 yard line

The NFL is fine. Dallas is about to make the leap...and when that happens, there will be 10 million brand new diehard Cowboys fans entering the mix.
I mean, LAMAR is the most dominating CFB QB in years, and the NFL will do its damnedest to turn him into a slot receiver.

That's b/c he would get killed if he played QB. Awfully big and fast dudes in that league.

College basketball is my FAVORITE sport, but college football is easily the BEST sport out there. CFB shows up and produces every damn Saturday. And now that it also have a playoff...:raised_hands:.

The NFL is overexposed and I think that's wearing thin on some people.

-- Nine seconds left on our own 49, and the people to my left had left pissed after the refs threw the flag on Stoops for bitching about the non-call on the horse collar. Thankfully, they picked up the flag and gave the sideline warning. Hope those people were still in the stadium when the field goal clear the bar. Great to win like that.

-- Marcus McClinton >>>>>>>>>>>>>> JLo for 4th Quarter pep talks. Love that guy.

-- Miso soup is a must for me at a sushi/Japanese joint. I find it to be a great comfort food.

-- Having to check out assisted living facilities for the mother-in-law. :flushed: Holy hell, those places are expensive. Probably going to have to pick one in Richmond to get it manageable.

-- Cubs in 5.

-- AJ Green is playing unreal this year. Bengals are still not good, but that man is the best receiver in football. The NFL as a whole, is a dreadful product any more. Goodell needs to go. It's time.

-- If we win at Mizzou this weekend, that puts us at 4-2 in the SEC, which matches Rich Brooks' best SEC win total.

-- Michigan did a fake punt up 34 points in the 4th quarter. :joy: Harbaugh is such an ***.

4. college football (playoffs)
5. NFL (regular season)
