The occasional beer with the seemingly weird crowd is good for you. Especially if they still have a strong jukebox.

Chinoe Pub. Does that count as a strip mall bar? Definitely a weird crowd. But karoke Friday is :fire:

How f***ed up is it when you see someone smoke inside anymore in public?

It rarely happens, and usually only in small Kentucky towns, but it is up there with dropping an N-bomb or being obviously under the influence on the sheer WTF-o-meter.

It was hilarious but I can see why it's an issue.
It's an issue bc we (Americans) made it a bigger issue. It was obvious satire. We just don't have a sense of humor.

The proper response is to fire back overly broad and obvious insults at Danny Willet about the Queen or Pippa Middleton all weekend, and regardless of the outcome on Sunday you buy him and the other Euros a few pints and laugh it off.

Get a grip America. I mean it's ok to laugh at ourselves every now and again.

Pro tip: Use the terms "Britishism" and "Scotch-Irish" a lot and try to subtly give credit to the French as much as possible. They haaaate that.

"Would you like bit of eggy bread?"

-"No thanks. I think I'll go for some French toast."

What was the question?

How Cawood didn't get killed in either Camelot East or West.

There used to be a pool hall next to Two Keys, but the owner got murdered. I don't think they ever solved it, either.

Toby's Pool Hall, Toby Kavanaugh, and pretty sure his murder is still unsolved. Was lucky enough to see him around the tables there a couple times...dude was like a surgeon with a pool cue.

"Surgeon with a pool cue" is a dope *** description to be honest. But I have to believe the threat of being murdered kind of goes along with being a seedy bar owner/pool hustler.

* Edley's BBQ in Nashville is legit.

* I fell in love with the star of our new Corolla commercial. Unbelievably hot. She is a brunette in her mid 20's who is absolute smoke.

You'll see the commercials in a month or 2. She's a hottie who we show growing up then getting the car as a college grad gift from her parents.

The star of the Camry spot was smoke, too. But her stunt driver was even hotter, just couldn't act as well.

* Vegas tomorrow. [banana]

Just while I was at UK it was called Fish Tank, Steakfest and The Bearded Seal.

Never understood why bars didn't last longer at UK. Two Keys is the only one that's lasted the test of time
Fishtank still exists technically. They wanted a music joint so they just moved into the old Lynaghs music emporium with Cosmic Charlie's as the new name. Also, they started Minglewood. I lived at the Tank for many nights in college.

Was waaayyyyy out in front on HossCat being in witness protection. Just remember that, GYERO.

Thought we had a deal, Counselor..

Related...I'd appreciate a few minutes of your time regarding a legal matter. If you could shoot me over an email tomorrow, that'd be great.

Thanks.

False. Not if you were into hanging out and talking with your best buds on a non-Thursday or Saturday night, drinking some Bud Heavies, smoking weed out back, a crispy or two on ledge out front, a pretty decent jukebox and the occasional surprise hookup.

For straight chasing hot tail, yes it was terrible for that.

Sources say said films are on the internet and not the soft core stuff either.

Per sources.

Thank you, Mr. Powerrr.

I was a little unclear by what the good doctor was referring to when he said "did anal porn". I thought he may have been referring to her modeling for an illustrated medical dictionary and he just got confused by a pastrami sandwich or something.

WS,

You going to post the top button pics from the Extrav?

The group photo with everyone paying homage to Milquetoast was hysterical.
Here ya go bud, she snapped them on my phone.

BTW - keep these in Gyero since SAE's not supposed to be seen associating with anyone on the board...

Watched "Lucas" the other day. Couldn't help but notice a young Jeremy Piven rocking some shorts even Suter might find short during the pep rally.

Thursday Randoms:

- Listening to Axelrod's podcast with Tom Brokaw on the way to work this morning and he pulled this one out when talking about nearly flunking out at the University of Iowa his freshman year, "I was a double major- PiPhis and Delta Gammas." [laughing]

- Saw an IG post from a the WSJ of all places bitching about black women only having 12% of first-level management positions. Umm, black people make up only 12% total of the US population, so why would it be expected that they would have more than that? In fact, that's a little high. I guess PC Bros aren't big on math.

- I loved Bama's campus. It's one of two I've been to- the other being Notre Dame- where I kind of felt like I was in a movie. The people were so friendly and it was just a cool place. Wasn't feeling the bar scene, though. Was pretty unimpressive postgame. Plus, one of the dudes I went with got super drunk, threw a quarter at a Bama fan who was dressed up like Bear Bryant, dropped a C-bomb on a Bama coed, laid on the floor of an elevator riding it up and down and then harassed local pizza parlors over the phone about "what kinda hoagies you got?"

- So, how's Jones' TV show? SERIOUS REPLIES ONLY. And keep the hatin' and ***-kissin' to a minimum.

- The basketball jerseys have grown on me like a fungus. I really like them now.

- Pretty rare to see Cal with such clearcut recruiting priorities. It's easy to see who he wants exactly in this class.

- My Kings of Leon Top 10 Songs (in order):

1. Holy Roller Novocaine
2. Molly's Chambers
3. Pyro
4. Revelry
5. Fans
6. The Bucket
7. King of the Rodeo
8. The Immportals
9. Cold In The Desert
10. Back Down South

I always get a weird Jonestown vibe from Notre Dame's campus. I have several friends and family members that went there and to a person they're good people but the place is kinda off putting if you're visiting.

After Penn State, I think Vegas would have Notre Dame as the second biggest favorite to have a child rape scandal on campus.

Hey Kentucky is good but I'm not going to go out of my way to watch it. Side note: I also don't go out of my way to watch/read KSR regularly either, Matt's Twitter is enough for me.

My only critique so far would be to leave the political stuff to Matt and the political guests. No one cares about Drew Franklin, Jared Lorenzen, and Mary Jo Perino's thoughts on the election and Matt Bevin.
