Decade - plus? Did the little Duke/K ordeal really light a fire under Cal's *** to where he is serious about coaching at UK for another 10+ years? This is the third or fourth time he has mentioned it since he started his "vision of the program" posts. If that's the case, I can only hope they keep poking the bear.

"I spoke with Desoto Athletic Director Larry Davis earlier today, Davis said he would meet with Bolden some time in the next two days to 'try and get him to narrow down a date.' Davis said they would try and have an announcement before May 17th

'That’s my second signing day so we want to try and get in done before then Davis said and I want Marques to have a day all too himself.'"​

So, Bolden's high school AD is having a signing day on May 17 but wants Bolden to announce before then so that he can "have a day all too(sic) himself." Today is Friday and nothing has been announced, so that would leave... Monday, the same day that Cal will release his vision of the program. I'm convinced.

Wouldn't matter too much. If that's the case, then perhaps Calipari pushed back his next blog post to fit that timeline and allow Bolden to have his day and announce first, then discuss how excited he is about this upcoming class and whatnot on Monday.

Either that or he knows Bolden is going to Duke and he is releasing it to take the attention away from Duke. He has been known to do such things before.

I'm going with the BOlden to UK thing though

Cal is a mktg genius.. but no way he thinks a 2nd or 3rd installment of a blog post even remotely takes anything at all away from Bolden if announcing for Duke.

This is either entirely unrelated or Cal having fun with us crazies with ciphered tweets.

I predict the latter.

That's what I said.
Latter means opposite of former and the latter of what I said was that he's hinting. Though I probably worded it poorly.

I think this is all about tenure. I've fully expected him to stay another 12 years, give or take for quite some time. I've discussed it many times. The next 4 are locked in with Brad. At that point his win total will be approaching elite level with the legends of the game clearly in sight. I may be wrong but I'm convinced he will retire from UK with 1000+ wins. He does indeed have an ego. The closer he gets, the stronger the pull to reach the top. JMO of course.

Bolden's recruitment might be Cal's fountain of youth. Of course this is all IMO. I believe what Duke is telling recruits about Kentucky and cal is pi$$ing coach off.Hopefully he uses this as fuel to drive BBN down ratface throat until his last day at Duke. I can see cal giving Krzyzewski nightmares for the next ten years. Here come the pain #KABOOM!!!

What's amusing is that I had joked in an earlier post that if we got Bolden, we needed to nickname him Boom to go with Bam.

If this pans out, we've definitely got to nickname him Kaboom! [laughing]

This isn't Duke where their head coaches weeps like a baby after a player commits. I'm sure Cal would love to get Bolden but I can't see him sending a cryptic tweet because of a silent verbal.

Did anyone read Chris Fisher's VIP update from today? He hinted at a "final" Bolden update. Wasn't sure if anyone could share a synopsis?
