in other important area golf news...

just love the deep voice fake accent guy they use for these commercials. and as someone completely ignorant on the sport & on local country clubs, Chariot Run has to be a POS if they are giving away buckets of balls & free drinks right?

What kind of wishy-washy pantywaist clicks on "like" and then has second thoughts in the half a second before they're asked "are you sure you want to like this post?"

Agree with Shootbag on cart boy being the best job ever. Worked at Cardinal Club for 4 summers in HS/College. Then at Hurstbourne CC for a year. My god I took advantage of my playing priveledges at those places.

Hurstbourne had on average the best looking cart girls I've seen as a whole at a golf club.

Once again, this is why Cal is so much better at his job than any one of us are at ours. He just provided the perfect cover for Briscoe, Lee, Willis and whoever else wants to test the waters and may likely decide to come back. By having everyone declare, that becomes the story, not about which individual players do or do not decide to test the waters. It takes the pressure off of them. Cal is not mocking the system, he is simply allowing each of his players to get feedback from the NBA about where they stand. (OK, he may be having a joke at the expense of those who believe that every player UK gets is 1-and-done, but still, the media attention is now on Cal, not the players. And Cal is a big boy, he can handle it.) [thumb2]

- The loss hasn't really set in, probably because I'm so GD busy. Average a 16 hour day, pulled a 22 hour day Monday.

- I am absolutely CRUSHING this job. Feels like I've found my calling for the first time...already been given a healthy raise and a team to manage out of Lincoln.

- We have our work cut out for us to get the bill to pass...but it looks like we'll at least get it on the ballot, which is a big step. The Iowa Gaming Commission is pouring in millions to our opposition (led by Tom Osbourne), due to them get $500 million in free tax rev from Nebraskans.

- Took a road trip with some coworkers to O'Neill, NE by the South Dakota border last weekend. The whole town is an Irish settlement and they have an awesome St. Patty's festival. Didn't disappoint.

- So eating cow balls is actually a pretty big thing here.

- On the road again this weekend. Telly, bars, and basketball gambol in Bumtouch, NE.

- Central time is cool, but I've missed several start times because I'm still Eastern programmed.

But they have never ever done it! Not 1 championship banner ever removed by the Ncaa! & they won't start now with this minor infraction perpetrated by 1 single individual!!

The best part about the defamation suit against Cpt. Suntan is that you can mock him about mercilessly on Twitter and he can't respond since it involves pending litigation.

Even better, that mongloid is so stupid he probably will respond, which means whatever he said will be used in the lawsuit and WHAT A GLORIOUS TIME TO BE ALIVE.

I would love to see Sloot's Gyero notes. Lol

I guess if you're gonna eat balls, might as well go Cow>Sheep. The bigger the better AMIRITE.

Laugh Track Live was awesome. Actually won tickets to a Dave Matthews concert at Riverbend for telling the best joke one night. TS

Off to Pensacola friday for a wedding. WTF gets married on Easter weekend?? A guy who named his boat the Dirty Slut 2. That's who.

Captain Suntan, I'm still rolling. What a loser. #FLUSH IT

Is it really almost spring and Keeneland?

Per Mags Periscope:

Cal visiting Bolden tomorrow.
Briscoe now likely coming back.
Tom Crean asked to cut the nets down after they beat us.

That last one is so ridiculous that it's really hard to believe but Matt swore by it.

Tommy, what happened with meow?

Meow and I are on great terms, but decided not to do the long distance thing. She's really happy for me and knows this was a great move for me. Honestly, I've been pretty miserable the past few years teaching. We want the best for each other, even if that means not being together.

However, I had dinner with the CEO the other night...he told me that he's really impressed with how I've done. He said that after this campaign he's looking at opening a couple more offices throughout the country, one being in Raleigh...asked if I would be interested in managing a campaign there. Which obviously I would.

I LOVE Lincoln though. Such a cool city. Friendly people, college town, and just a great atmosphere. Plus, it feels good to be out of NC. Love NC...but I've really enjoy the travel, meeting new people, and exploring all this new stuff in a career I love.

tommy: Be humble. Stay Hungry. Always hustle.

For those that aren't Facebook friends with me...I had a tough day yesterday. Lost support from a county commissioner whom I thought was solidly locked up. Was talking to my 65+ year old mother about it and she dropped:

"Stay humble. Stay hungry. Always hustle." in a text to me. Awesome. What a G. Made my day.

Finally, my office is literally two doors down from the Capitol building...the extra security after the terrorist attack yesterday has been nuts. Check points to get into my office parking lot, being patted down entering the Capitol building (where I have meetings basically every day) by dudes with assault riffles, etc...damn.

The quote function on the new format makes notes archaic. Now I just click multi quote on what I want to post.

:joy: @ Suntan. Amazing and the way he stated it as fact can't be good for him. I knew they would all turn on each other but not at this level. Shew.

**Gabriel reminds me a little of Brandon Ingram.

**Nothing says Louisville basketball like breaking the NBDL scoring record.

**We getting Bolden or nah? Duke and Kentucky fans both seem optimistic. Anybody got any actual info on that?

**Glad to hear you're doing so well, Tommy. I know how it feels to be stuck in a job you hate and finally get out. Good for you.

Weirdo guy that was one of my neighbors growing up, who sees himself as an artist, changed his Facebook profile picture to a lady holding a toddlers head up in the air. I'm 99% sure it's from that incident in Moscow not long ago. I reported it to Facebook and got an email this morning that it does NOT violate Facebook's community standards

So, according to Facebook it's perfectly okay to post pictures of a beheaded toddler, but not okay to post even a glimpse of nipple.

If it's ever been your dream to live in S. Florida and sell electronic access control to angry Cubans and pushy Yankees, shoot me a message because there's a job for you.

- Woke up this morning a little pissed off that we don't get to play Carolina tonight. I know Johnson probably would've thrown a 30&20 on us, but I still wanted a piece of them. If we were hitting, we could've given them some trouble.

-...BUT the thing that has me even more pissed off is that I have to root for Indiana tonight. I have no choice. We need UNC out of this tournament.

- Kind of annoys me all the "Gabriel at the 3" stuff. I'm sure that's where he'll play, but that's not a good thing on offense. Even the NBA is going small. Everybody points to Ingram- a much better ballhandler and perimeter player- well, when did he finally start balling? Oh yeah-> when he moved to PF.

- I still can't believe guys like Brice Johnson and Perry Ellis turned into All-Americans and Poythess barely got better from his first semester on campus. Same with Lee. Our coaches generally do great work with bigs, but didn't gotten it done with those two.

- No clue how this roster turns out, but I'd love to throw our hat into the Ferguson derby. 6'6" sharpshooter. Top 15 player. Keep him away from Kansas.

- My Facebook is rarely annoying. No housewife schemes. No mommy-bloggers. No psycho artists types. Learn HIDE.

- Guess I'm watching the games solo tonight. Probably catching the ND game with my ND buddy tomorrow. Saturday, dinner at Scotti's with the lass. Sunday Easter with the fam. Could've been much better, but not a bad weekend. Life is good.
