Man, we are some straight up spoiled rotten dicks to be lamenting about bringing in a top 4 player at every position.

#1 center for you? I guess, whatever...

I'm stoked...for the record, Lamb was known as more of a scorer than shooter and turned out to be a dead eye. So I'm not completely writing off Monk and Fox as brick layers yet.

Willis has said twice this season that he basically has to make himself care or that some external factor is the only reason he even plays.

Love the kid and really want a deadeye stretch 4 on the court, but ^^^^ is a little bigger problem than "doesn't always go 100%"

This happens every time we lose. Everything sucks and nothing will ever go right again. Same dudes, too.

To be very fair to Bledsoe his name should not be included in any poor 3pt% convos or point making. Dude shot 38% which is a strong clip.

Here are some good quotes from Willis himself after the IU loss:

“At times I felt like I hurt the team defensively,” Willis said. “I feel like that’s what I need to take a lot more pride in this summer: figure out how to play defense, get my lower body stronger, just respond in general and start playing with a higher intensity, higher energy, develop a motor.”

“I don’t really feel like I play hard enough sometimes,” Willis said. “I feel like earlier in the year, when I was starting to get my chance, I was excited, I was motivated, I had like a little fire inside of me. And I slowly just drifted. I got complacent with that, and I’ve just gotta get that mindset back to just go out there and go 110 miles an hour.”

Willis was not the only person to notice the difference. His father told him, “I know you can play harder than you are.”

“I just feel like I got complacent with the mindset that I was in, where I was at, and I can’t let that happen again,” Willis said. “I feel like defensively I can bring more to the table than what I had been bringing. Earlier in this season, when we were playing SEC games and whatnot, I feel like I had a higher intensity, and it kind of brought up the team a little bit, too. It was what they needed. And for whatever reason, that went away. I’ve gotta pull that back out.”

“I’m focused on defense,” Willis said. “I know if I want to do anything with basketball, that’s what is going to make it for me.”

Nope. It's because Cal doesn't like him and refuses to play white guys who aren't top 25 players.

Eh, so I'm supposed to be rolling directly through the main Brussels train station in a month.
Not that i'd be comfortable in that area in the near future, but if you are looking for any type of silver lining- the fact that it happened today may make that part of town one of the most secure on the planet by the time you arrive.

-Wife was in the Brussels airport 9 months ago. Pretty shaken this morning. As Clark said, it will be incredibly locked down for the foreseeable future, at least.

-Really thought Buzz Williams would get that OSU job. Just seemed like a natural fit. But he might be making a big move at VaTech next season with that whole team back and the ACC a bit weaker. Brad Underwood flat wins games. Goodness how much better did the Big 12 just get, coaching-wise, with Dixon and Underwood over Johnson and Ford?

-Someone else beat me to the punch, but I was in the "NO BOLDEN" camp until a week ago. Everyone says that this team needed Dakari? Well, that's exactly why you bring in Bolden. You HAVE to be able to dump it inside once in a while and have a good thing happen. Nobody on this roster gave that to you, and I don't think anyone on next year's roster is built for that either, not at a lasting, elite level anyway. Bam is gonna be terrific, but he strikes me as a taller Trez....which is great, but still doesn't solve your low-post offense issue. Humphries can do it for 8-12 minutes a game. Bolden can make something good happen when he gets the ball on the low block, and can do it consistently. Logjam be damned, we need that next year.

Yep. Pretty much sitting around waiting for my wife's call/email freaking TF out.

SKJ isn't that type of Dakari/Bolden guy, but feel like people are really sleeping on him. That dude has some legit offensive game, just in a different type of way. Can see him taking the WCS path and being the/a 'secondary' guy for a year and then really blossoming.

Look, it's awesome having a back-to-the-basket guy BUT that's not the main reason our frontcourt sucked balls. The main reason our frontcourt sucked balls is because our frontcourt had no balls. There was no one who had any dawg in them. No tough guys. No physicality.

But yeah, I'd like to have Bolden. I just hope he doesn't start.

Why are you going to Brussels?

I'm not, technically.

London/Amsterdam/Paris.

...but the Amsterdam-Paris Thalys goes through Brussels Metro, and I assume makes a quick stop. If you understand women, that's more than enough to cause a meltdown. I just pray her mom doesn't put it all together. That crazy B offered to "Buy us Out" (and she was 100% serious) of our Aruba trip b/c she was worried about Zika virus, TS.

So Ben Simmons has already said Adios to Baton Rouge. I'm sure he will always treasure his time at LSU and his heart will forever be with Big Purple Nation. Or not.

Wouldn't shock me if Murray bounced before the semester end either. Not saying he's a tool like Simmons, or that he will. Seems like a good kid. It just wouldn't surprise me.

I think our kids will at least finish class. It might be long-distance, but the work will be done. Only guy I can think of who didn't do this is Orton, and he is persona non grata around here because of it. Simmons ain't doing ****, though. I'm betting he never did.

It has to be a lock Blakeney is gonna do everything he can to bounce too, right? Quarterman as well. That's how the SECW usually works.

Murray was at the women's game last night. I think finishing out is part of what Cal tells them they have to do as part of one and done.

I don't disagree with you Chad, and I think the balls issue will be settled with the addition of Bam and Gabriel, assuming that kid's motor is as epic as it appears to be. But the two issues aren't mutually exclusive. We needed post players with balls, but we ALSO needed someone who could do something, ANYTHING, with the ball in the post, and we just didn't have it. And if we get Bolden, we will.

^ agree with Llama.

Murray isn't going to do that...he's even said as much himself, he wants to get every last second out of his college experience.

I was with others early in the year who thought Murray would just be a pass through player, not disliked or a jerk or anything, just kind of his own type of guy...not growing up in the states, no real sense of college bball until he got here.

But, about halfway through the season when the bow and arrow became a thing, then the SEC tourney, seems like he began to "get" Kentucky basketball. Think he's all in la' familia now.

^ I thought it myself, and he most definitely *was* a bit disconnected from the team (and his backcourt mates) early on.

That has changed completely, I love the kid all around. One of the good ones...as pretty much all of them are and have been.

Bolden is the #1 center in the class and i personally think he will be a big key next year if we want to win it all. He has good offensive moves around the basket and can block shots. I also think he will be a CAT.

I'm pretty embarrassed about some texts I sent buddies earlier this year re: Jamal Murray. I've done a complete 180 on him, and got a little  watching his post game interview on Saturday.
