Was anyone else hoping that Skal would get called for two quick fouls so we get him to the bench and when it got to be under 10 mins.in the first half and still no Skal fouls, start to panic?

"For everyone who admires the beauty and purity of a 45-34 defensive strangling, this win represents a triumph - and an affirmation that you can win a title in the most unwatchable f***ing way imaginable."

Those dreams/hallucinations you get while battling a high fever are weird.

Part of mine last night was watching from the rafters of an empty arena while circa-late 80's Ultimate Warrior ran around full speed with an acoustic guitar yelling gibberish at UCL's avatar girl as she sat stoically at a folding table.

This tournament has been incredible, maybe the best opening weekend ever in terms of pure drama -- yet you'd think it was the worst sporting event of all time reading GYERO. [eyeroll]

Don't worry guys, your wall2wall NFL coverage starts again in a few weeks.

Just find it funny. All the tough guys who called those of us who like to break down our matchups/concerns pussies...are the ones acting like complete pussies when our marginal team gets knocked out in a 50/50 game.

UK loss sucked ***, nobody will feel that more than me for YEARS to come with what I have to put up with -- but the tournament has been fantastic.

If you girls seriously quit watching the NCAA tournament every time UK gets beat...well, you haven't watched much NCAA Tournament over the years since we've only won 3 titles in most of your lifetimes. Too bad, it's typically a great event.

Jason Day was nails yesterday. Had 4 guys all in contention down the stretch and the co-leader chips in a birdie on 15 or 16 then slices his approach into the water on 18. Day pulls his into the bunker, chips to about 5 feet, saves par and wins.

Completely dejected UK fan wallowing in self-pity, **** basketball because it's golf season.

After sulking all morning into late afternoon, I started watching games again. It was definitely an empty feeling, though. If KU/UNC/IU/Duke weren't all still alive and thriving, it would be a lot easier to stomach.

I decided to get over it when it didn't rain on my miserable/hungover drive back from Cincy Sunday morning.

I swear it's the first time that's ever happened, in probably 30 trips.

Combination. They slowed up a bit the last 2 days...but they could go 0-RestofTourney and would still be up huge.

Went on my own mostly yesterday. At this stage with the teams left I feel like I know it as good as anyone, but their specialty is Overs handicapping. BtB is seriously about 25-2 on TT bets over the past month, it's ridiculous.

BBdK acts like he's a :basketball:, and yet that clown is bragging about his tourney bracket after 2 rounds.

Shaking Chad's Head.

Lots of ball to be played, and the more important number right now is possible score. FYI I'm tied for #1 there (159).

And more FYI: my "strategy" was to pick 100% chalk. Every single game. [thumb2]

Still in between w/ coming to grips about the loss... obviously the most frustrating thing is *how* it went down.

This team was an offensive free-flowing attacking juggernaut the last half the season but Cal went ahead and decides to hit the brakes hard against IU. I know the 6 charges may have deterred some of the offensive aggression but we ran down the clock more than we have the entire season against IU. Secondary break was non-existent, dribble penetration was tossed out the window to account for the whistle, and the boys played tight, IMO. IU had zero shot-blocking presence and we still **** our pants and decided to go 1v1 and take a lot of tough, contested shots. Credit IU's defense staying in front but we bailed certainly bailed them out with Cal's decision to grind every possession.

Willis was a defensive liability, yes, but even when he did get PT we still were content to spread the floor and ball-watch Tyler Ulis dribble/probe around. Most of me puts that on Cal but some of it lies within the players, who may have been a little timid of the moment and deferred to their All-American Point God to bail them out all by his lonesome. It didn't really make sense to me because we were anything but a grind-it-out team all year, especially with inconsistent (generous) bigs/rebounding. That game was not indicative of the team that got there and that really hurts, especially against a huge POS rival that will get tons of mileage out of this game.

:sigh:

Love Ingram's silky smooth game... but if Ben Simmons didn't show his *** at the end of the season and lollygagged it for a loser coach/program, I would have still had Simmons #1.

But having seen his ***** *** whine to the media, not GAF about classes, barely co-exist w/ teammates, shut'er down on the court and display zero emotion/fire with his team on the ropes.... I don't think I'd risk my franchise on a guy who didn't appear to be a 'winner'.

You have to remember though, the GMs that usually pick #1 are usually idiots.

Wonder what kinda turnout downtown Louisville is gonna have for the games this weekend?

Miami, Nova, Kansas, Maryland. Pretty dope little 4some there.

Michigan State fans have to be absolutely sick. As great as Izzo is, the truth of the matter is that they can't win it all with their style/talent in years when Kentucky, Duke, Kansas and/or UNC have lottery picks all over the court. Like 2015. This year set up perfect for them. They even had a regional in Chicago in the heart of Big Ten country and they completely **** the bed. What a disaster for them.

Has to be brutal, but they're about to be right there with the big boys in terms of elite/NBA type talent, especially if they get Jackson.

Wasn't really a big upset though, MTSU is like 78 RPI and only lost to Syracuse bubble team by 25. They had a legit shot to win it all, unlike Coppin St, imo.

Black Mike just got a new minivan. LOL.

Not wasting any time entering full blown parent mode. Look, I TOTALLY get it for '73 and similar families -----> probably a must. But for 1 little kid...? Think I'd be holding off on that move for awhile.

Our offense looks much more free-wheeling when Murray isn't going 1-for-9 from three,
