The GOAT of MTV Spring Break was the bikini contest judged by Dr. Dre and Ed Lover. Mainly hot *** strippers showed up. I still remember them singing My Bonnie lives over the ocean to one of them and saluting another that had on an American flag bikini like the one Borat wore.

Lots of adolescent loads went off to that bikini contest. Can't find it on YouTube

In a long line of my top SEC tournament games, I always go back to this one to put above the rest. Just a roller coaster for a fan. In hindsight, I ended up liking a lot of those Ark guys, and always liked going head to head with their fans. Also take notice of skinny Antoine Walker.

1995 was my first SEC tourney. While there have been more "fun" SEC weekends, I can't imagine another game ever displacing that final against Arkansas.

Flying home from Peru tonight and will be in Nashville this weekend for my 21st straight. Been doing some high altitude conditioning in preparation for GEL-Lexington.

What really sucked was watching MTV Spring Break '93 on TV in the dining hall while in college, waiting to go on spring break. Our spring break was always a week or so after most colleges. It was always the same time as KY high school spring break. Still some of the best times of my life, but I always imagine what might have been.......

Well spring break is in force right now down here. Naaaaaahhhht bad.

We have 3-4 weeks of it every year. Used to be my favorite time, but now me and both my best tail-chasing buds are all in relationships. So now, its more of a pretend you're single while talking to them at work thing and/or a watch from the poolside deal, as you witness early 20-something guys that most look like they're still trying to let puberty catch up to their female counterparts fumble all over themselves in a ridiculously awkward fashion.

Playing up the Laid Back Island Guy works stupidly well. Especially when you've already been through all that and you have 3-4 weeks of practice vs a bunch of broke guys with few nights to actually try and cash in.

Vitale advocating for 150 teams to make the tournament again.

Love these sycophant announcers advocating for no coach to ever get fired.

Miami interview this weekend. Weather .

Jealous of bbdk and his solo casina time. Man, few greater joys in life than a wife early in bed, a few frosties, and a pile of chips in your hand.

- Can we just fast-forward to Fridee please?

- Pretty amazing that Ulis is one of only 3 consensus All-Americans this year. The other two spots are arguable, but he, Hield and Valentine have been on every list I've seen.

- Not only is Murray on fire right now and Curry-level cocky, but I love seeing him out there scrapping, showing emotion. Also love seeing how much our three guards seem to get along.

- Good Lord, Zeke Pike, get some help.

- My Newport Central Catholic Thoroughbreds took down Cov Cath and are headed to state. Drew Trinity first round. :raised_hands:

- @assistbyhawkins any plans Saturday?

* C.J. Conrad on new offense: "I'm kind of everywhere."

Darin Hinshaw: “We know C.J. is really talented and we’re going to use him. We’re going to move him all around, make defenses have to be thinking about what they’re doing.”

Also, he's "bigger, stronger and faster" than he was last year.

I know I say this every year, but this time I mean it. I'M ALL IN!

* Garrick McGee has left UofL to join Lovie Smith's staff at Illinois. Seems like every year Louisville loses a ton of assistants. Just don't understand why, though.

* Over/under attendance at tonight's Auburn-Tennesee game? 5. (Not 5,000. FIVE. As in 5 people will be there, 4 of whom will be UK fans.)

* Against Florida State, Boston College senior center Dennis Clifford had 15 points and nine rebounds before fouling out with 9½ minutes left. Right then, BC’s deficit was somewhat manageable, at 65-56, but quickly climbed back up to 15 points.
Afterward, Clifford was asked what his best memory of playing college basketball will be. He choked up and put his head down, pausing for more than 20 seconds. When he looked back up, his face was red, his eyes were welling.

His answer: “Going out to eat.”

[laughing]

* Good read: oral history on the 2006 season re: JJ Redick & Adam Morrison.

I give the edge to Wiltjer but there is little doubt in my mind IF Willis were given a year off like Wiltjer had, went to a place similar to Gonzaga, was a 2nd or 3rd option in first year and 2nd option type guy in second year he could put up some big numbers like Wiltjer has. As it is he shoots a better 3 point % this year than Wiltjer, hes better from the free throw line and they are identical in fg %. Willis can play better D, is quicker and rebounds the ball as good or better. My vote goes to Wiltjer but Willis with similar playing minutes and an opportunity to be more of the man, certainly would hold his own.

When I read the radio announcer was tossed, I just assumed Pat Adams had rabbit ears and was being a little ***** tossing him for something he should've pretended not to hear.

To find out that he actually didn't do anything at all, is twice as insane.

“I talk with my hands,” Menzl said. “I was trying to describe that we had two guys fighting for the ball, and he took it as I waved him off, like saying that’s a horrible call.

“At first he gave me a warning. Then two seconds later said, ‘I want this guy removed and I won’t start the game until he gets removed.’”

Listening to that audio, what caused the ejection should be enough to make sure Adams never works as a college official again. Of course, it won't happen.

Went to Taft's last night. If you're looking for a steak sandwich and some churched up tater tots, Taft's is for you.

Good food, Taft's.
