Don't sleep on the Chicken & Cheese Bagel either...leaving off the plastic/hard yellow overcooked fast food egg, of course.

If it's not the Egg McMuffin egg, get that garbage off my fast food breakfast sambo, TS.

Eggs are the simplest food out there, and by far the most often wrongly-cooked. A hard well done egg is like a well done steak, TS.

A perfect french-style scrambled egg is a thing of beauty...rubber well done eggs can GTFO.

Learn Eggs, world. This basic method will change your view on scrambled eggs. :100points: (and you don't need the Creme Fraich or herbs, btw)

-BRax is awful, been telling you guys forever. TRY SOME THOUSAND ISLAND OR FRENCH DRESSING ON YOUR CFA BISCUIT IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE TRUST ME!!

-I was in the locker room at work yesterday morning and as I was on my way out, I passed this big black guy who works as one of the janitors in our area who was at his locker. I mumbled "mornin'" to him, but he simultaneously said "good morning". Clearly he didn't hear me because as my hands is on the door, I hear "I SAID, GOOD. MORRRRNING." I turn around the best I come up with is "yeah, good morning to you too." Ever since I've run into him at least five times and each time he's been staring absolute daggers at me. In the sense that he'll stop what he's doing, stand up straight, and stare at me until I walk completely away. As badly as I would love to clear the air, I can only envision Larry David-like scenarios with the end result being all the janitors hating me and calling me a racist while I end up screaming "I GAVE YOU A HELLO. YOU'RE THE ONE WHO DIDN'T HEAR ME MAYBE YOU SHOULD GET YOUR HEARING CHECKED I'M NOT A RACIST YOU'RE THE RACIST" before I give up and slunk out.

Isn't this the running gag on Scrubs? The janitor hates the main character? Constantly terrorizing him.

Now Arnold palmers do suck. The tea is too lemony.

I have never even in my life had a hard rubbery scrambled egg. Fried, yes. Scrambled eggs are fluffy by design.

^ no they aren't. That's b/c you haven't learned eggs, like most Richmond wiggers. You love Shoney's, McDonald's, Hardees, etc...their eggs are trash. Could play racquetball with them.

Eggs, like red meat, are overcooked 90% of the time. I'm talking scrambled only...my favorite is poached or over-easy/sunnside w/ runny yolk...but scambled eggs are easily the most massacred food on the planet.

This is what you like, and that's too bad.

I was in the hospital the last couple of days following an emergency surgery.

When I was finally allowed to eat yesterday, I was given turkey with gravy for lunch. I accidentally got some of the gravy all over the IV tube going into my arm.

I imagined gravy going through the IV and straight into my vein, and immediately thought of BBDK.

I don't even know any of you guys but it made me laugh to myself that that's what came to mind.

Lol. You are a crazy person. Learn how to make scrambled eggs. They should be moist n fluffy. No brown. No shoneys. No McD's. Milk. Eggs. Low heat. Throw a slice of merican cheese on em to finish. Oh boy.

At least we agree on American cheese.

I'm a cheese snob in general, but there are a few things where nothing can beat some good ole processed American Cheese Food Product, at least in part: Grilled Cheese, Burgers, Eggs/Breakfast sambos, Cheesesteaks, Mac (debatable), Nachos (white american)

You can keep your fancy cheeses on those, imo. A few exceptions sure (extry cheeses added), but still prefer American dominating.

Maybe I'm not a cheese snob after all...

#liquidgold

Guess it boils down to: Junk Food = Fake Cheese, Real Food = Real Cheese.

Crazy ER Stories, by a poster other than swimmer.

1. While hemorrhaging and waiting in triage, I see a guy who had been standing outside smoking a cigarette come in to the ER, calmly tell the triage nurse his pain level was a 10, and he gets taken back into the ER before me.

2. 70 year old black man in bed next to me had been stabbed in the leg - several days prior - in a "fight over dope," but didn't come into the ER until his leg was turning green.

3. Old woman in the bed on the other side of me, when asked what she was there for, said she was thirsty and wanted a water and a sandwich. Nurse brought her a water, she screamed she wanted somebody else to bring the water. Doctors questioned her and she said she was only in the ER to get a water and a sandwich (nice job by the triage staff to even let her in [eyeroll]).

4. Next person in that bed is a woman from a halfway house and her chief complaint was that she had a hemorrhoid that itched.

Glad to hear you're on the mend BeaverWTF.

Brax probably likes spaghetti in his chili, orders his thai food at a level one spiciness because he has a sensitive tongue, wraps the ginger around his sushi, and gets his coke with no ice cause you get more coke that way. I'm furious just thinking about it.

Haven't checked to see if the book took any bets on Kimbo but that is awesome. MMA =WWE, IMO.

So after a full three days post surgery I completely quit all pain meds and strictly only took anti-inflammatory meds. I legit had not pain at all. Visit with the Dr today and was told things looked great even though it was gross enough to make me almost vomit. After the dressing change and cleaning they decided 1 more week of splint and soft cast over a hard cast.

Within a f'n hour I was in enough pain that I honestly felt like someone had a lighter and was honest to god burning me. 10 minutes of that and I was irate. Called the Dr and was told that's typical post op nerves getting their feelings back. After the FU doc comment that came out before I could think about my words, I was kindly reminded just 6 months before I'm back to basketball/soccer etc.

Amazing really!

Before that we had an appt for the pregnant wife. #3 during the ultrasound looks right at the camera(or whatever that toy thing is) and waves. Not kidding at all, it was the coolest thing of the three pregnancies we have seen.

I've never met Brax, but I sort of imagine him like Bob Saget from Full house...definetly not Entourage Bob Saget.

Glad to hear you guys are recovering. The ER can literally be a freak show. Nothing's shocking.

Sure docs can be pricks, but just imagine how pissed you'll be at the robots.

-Worst I saw in the ER was a mom who brought her kid in at 11PM… for a sports physical.
-There's a guy that came into the UK ER every day for food. He would walk from hospital to hospital and get meals and leave. Also came in one night to watch the UK game on the TV. He had some mental issues obviously, they used to check him in and all but realized it was easier to just deal with him then send him on his way.
-Back when we were med students there was a guy who literally lived in the hospital. I don't remember all the details, but from what I can remember… he was an illegal immigrant who the United States had decided to deport back to Mexico, but Mexico wouldn't accept him due to his AIDS. He was homeless and had no place that would accept him based on his legal issues, thus he just lived in limbo in the hospital.

None of those things are true, Bristol. Corn bread or peanut butter crackers in my chili, I order my food extry spicy, and I like a good crushed ice in my colars.

Doc- I like to think of myself more young Ray Romano than Bon saget tbh.

I'm not sure where the teetotaler reputation comes from but I wish my wife thought the same way you guys do. I typically go through a fifth of cheap bourbon a week and it drives her bonkers.

He lived at UK for 5 years. From Guatemala, and they wouldn't take him back because of the HIV. No insurance so no facility would take him either. He was a dick to the nurses, and my last year of med school he flipped out on a phlebotomist on an elevator and broke her wrist somehow...so UK promptly deported him. Not sure how it went down, maybe just dropped him out of a plane or something?

Pretty sure I saw him playing late night ping pong at the law school.
