Nope, it was me. Killa gets 2 props, Chad gets 1. Everyone else gets nathan. Okay I'll give UCL 1/2 prop b/c I'm in a good mood. Krazy doesn't count, obviously.

Anth, Coolcat, Ochs, and many others hated Willis every time he gave up a point, as if none of our other scrubs never gave up buckets. [laughing]

Just more evidence why BBdK is the real college :basketball:

...I will say Mattox is a great wood chopper and muscle man farmer though. Maybe he can be 1st on Tai, I'm backing off on him for now tho.

<--------------- give me the shooter, every time. :fire::100points:

What I learned lurking Gyero today:

1. Nobody listens to KSR
2. Everybody was way out in front on Willis

You're selling Willis short. He can defend and he's 6'9".

If Poythress had come in and played like Willis did late at UCLA, Calipari would have thrown the kid a parade. Willis can't even shed the warmup while we're going through the motions against EKf'nU.

I don't think Willis is terrible on defense. Willis and Lee are about the only two bigs you can rely on in the press and we probably need to press more.

It really pisses me off that he won't play Willis. He couldn't be any GD worse than half the guys that have been in there. No chance in f'n hell.

How would playing Willis at the 3 or 4 for extended minutes that half hurt us? I'll hang up and listen to your response.

This is one of those games that makes you want to strangle Calipari. Willis and Humphries a DNP while Mulder gets in during a crucial stretch in the first half. WTF is up with that? Matthews barely played.

Is Skal going to make the leap? I'd settle for a hop at this point or just a basic understanding of the game of basketball. It's apparent that we are going to live and die with this kid so long as he is eligible and healthy. Hope he figures it out or we start getting him some looks from spots where he can actually make a shot. 1-7 today. 2 pts.

We have the parts to have a competent, functional basketball team if we go small. Play Ulis, Briscoe, Murray, Willis and Lee. That combination never once saw the floor today and that may be our best group right now at least on offense.

Wodie... Part of the deal is that he's always been known as a great shooter but his d & willingness to rebound has improved so much vs when you claimed to be way out in front of everyone for his playing time.. Thus allowing Cal to live with his now limited weaknesses.

Realize your overall point with Cal needing to live with his weaknesses bc this team needs another shooter but he's not nearly the defensive liability or weak around the ball that he was.

Lol, and like that Dakich says on air "Ulis has been the best PG in the country...better than Dunn, since I sent my tweet out saying he wasn't a top 5 PG"

...and also listed UK as his top 3 to win the title.

I swear I go back and forth on this guy so much, feel like a dbag letting him troll me.

I''ll stick with he's REALLY good sometimes, the best, often.....but also a complete psycho dbag.

-going to need the bigs healthy. Damnit man.

A&M has some beef down low & everyone on here knows they are going to play very well against us.

We only beat UT because of 3's. This can be fool's gold unless we get a few buckets here & there in the paint.. Dump offs, lobs, & out backs.

Lol @ Anth and Murray.

Wodie style spin job on your whole angle with that...everything I've said about Murray has been :100points: correct.

You wanted Willis Hung organically in Chevy Chase Town Square a few weeks ago. I just wanted Murray to quit being a jumpshooter and start being a dominant basketball player as his talent justifies...he has of late, and I've given due props. He's been outstanding. He has not been all season though, despite stats. Everyone but your Murray-humping *** knows/knew that.

Murray was bad on defense, he was only a jump shooter, he rarely made winning plays and he got a lot of his in garbage time. He has gotten better at all of these. No one hated him.

Well, I don't post enough to establish a strong claim but I've long lobbied for Cal to recruit more Kentucky players to develop into role players to play along the 5 stars. When Cal hauled in the monster crop headlined by Randle and the twins, I was excited because Willis and Hawkins were included in that class. I said so on here but in got lost in the shuffle. It doesn't matter though. I'm just so happy he's stepping up. And we get him for another year.

Exactly wizard.

Vern, getting lost in the shuffle is your #NoJoe Forte. You aren't really good at anything except being the biggest person on the court. IMO

Does anyone want a 1/2 seed this year? Maybe they should just start the seeding on the 3-line this tournament.

imagine if Willis was from some slapdick eastern Kentucky high school? Jersey retirement talk would have already commenced.

Instead he's from Bullitt County (Greater Louisville Area), so instead he gets a mock twitter account.

Tough break, really.

lol I knew that had been bothering you.

Of course.

Other examples:

-Scott Padget: Louisville
-Anthony Epps: not white
-Derek Anderson: not white AND from Louisville
-Darius Miller: not white

No room for these guys in "Kentucky boy" lore. No sir. Hell, Patrick Sparks got points deducted for being a western coal fields kid.

F BBN.

I think we've disagreed on whether Skal was a bad kid or not and what his potential was...but we agree on his current production. Really hasn't taken enough "baby steps" to be a net positive on the floor. Humpries has adjusted to college bball quicker than he has.

You're probably right, but who's the last Eastern Kentucky kid to play for the Cats? Todd Tackett? Richie was a special circumstance. He was a mountain legend long before he became a Cat.

Humpries is 17. Skal will be 20 by the time SEC tourney starts. Or "winning time." To quote Adrian, I was "way out in front" on what a worthless piece of **** skal is. WAAAYYYY out in front. Kids a hunk of ****.

Despite that Haitian piece of garbage, this team can win it all. Dont really care who mans the 5, whether its Alex, Marcus or Humpheys. Or Skal. Our 1-4 is plenty good enough to get hot and win this thing in a year like this year, especially when you consider we have the best player in all of basketball with Tyler Ulis. Gonna be a fun March.
