I met you at Legends in NYC a few years ago, but you were pretty boozed up, I think. Pope bought me a beer and I hung out with Clark and 80 for a bit. I looked like a rabbi at the time. I still do, but not as orthodox.
The following year at Demsey's, BBdK mistook my best friend's wife for mine and I sent my buddy the screenshot to raise his hackles.
I'm not sure if I can make the Kansas game, but I'll be down to meet you guys soon enough. I usually get last minute tickets.
Shipping container homes seem so dope. I'd like to put one in a forest somewhere and then build it up 3 levels in a tree.

- We have to figure out a good set-up for the Kansas game. Lachey's wouldn't be bad at all but we'll need to get a table and that can be tricky depending on the number. I hate the sports bar situation in downtown Cincinnati.

80, great job on the shipping container homes. You're right, the info is everywhere. A friend of my mother in law in Monticello was talking about how cool the idea was at a funeral visitation I was at last week. They have been looking for a secondary home in Richmond for some time and they were really digging the idea. I may have mentioned your company. On the insurance side they are also going to be well received, IF the carrier can wrap their head around it.

Knowing that ahead of time and then experiencing it are two different things. You're not taking into account the commentary that will likely offend, their jackass fans with signs/chants about cheating, Bill Self being defied on national television and their players acting demonstrative after any type of score. That **** still pisses me off regardless of my expectations going in.
Knowing it ahead of time considerably lowers the redass starting point of all that **** you described above, which was my point. Not discounting it.
I am happy for 80's business concerns, but I think shipping container "homes" in the US are feel-good story for everyone but the de-humanized poor people who have to actually live in them daily (not just as fun weekend retreats).
It's all part of Trump's master plan. Get all the poor people in shipping container "homes" and then just ship them out of the country while they're asleep.
Not sure I understand the appeal or price benefit of a shipping container home.
-Shipping container homes for the poors make sense to me because of the low maintenance. There is little in life more depressing than seeing a home falling apart because the owner can't afford to maintain it.
-Took my daughter to the St. X basketball game last night. Big Tigers W over the Southeast Christians (Christian Academy). Still amazes me that high school basketball is four 8 minute quarters and no shot clock. Whatever.
Good honkie ball on display, though. Cool seeing normal-sized kids playing close to the rim. Made me jealous. I remember having that type of athleticism. I mean, I could certainly never dunk but was touching the rim fairly easily at one point.
I also enjoy a high school student section. I had forgotten how easily and clear sound travelled in a high school gym. You can really let **** be known in there whether it's the refs, a coach, or just heckling a fellow student.
-Corduroys today, folks. I charge that, along with a handsome linen shirt in summer, they're the best seasonal attire out there.
-Get pumped, geese.
-Hosting my annual dinner party Friday night for my lesbian activist commie friends. Ribeyes, limas, twice baked potatoes, and a bunch of wine. We'll get started in the living room with some cocktails and elite cheeses. Working on my playlist tonight. I really hate asking folks to spend money on my birthday, so I just host. More fun that way, and a great excuse for a winter dinner party. Enjoy.

I know you like corduroy you son of a *****. It's your *awful* linen shirt take that I can't live with.
Shipping containers can rust, which is not an affront to humanity. But sticking someone in a "home" that can rust is not good, imo. They are made of metal and coated with toxic chemicals to resist the elements, but they are not indefinitely immune to them.
They are designed to be a water/air tight envelope. With every instance of cutting that envelope to accommodate human living conditions (windows & doors) there is associated patchwork to maintain the envelope. They are also not designed to shirk debris like leaves from their nooks and crannies. The longer that shipping container sits in downtown Lexington, the more chance it has for water and moisture to build up in un-maintained nooks and crannies which can lead to rust.
It also requires a normal cheap roof which will not necessarily be maintained either.
I'm not saying 80's will rust a year from now and I know he is a competent builder. But, for the $125/sf cost and a site in the middle of one of the most building resource rich spots on the planet, I view these houses as a net negative for Lexington.
I think poor people would be much happier with a normal, honest. home built to the height of Firmitas, Utilitas, and Venustas of modern construction (or single-wide mobile homes).

I lived in a modified shipping container in Iraq, subdivided into 3 units. Was like a dorm room. I'm sure 80 makes them nice, mine was the Pti version with a window heater/AC unit. Didn't help keep the mortars out well either.
Randomly played blackjack with a couple UK SAE's I knew from college. I'm sure some of you Louisville boys know them. Good times. They were crushing the 21+3 side deal.
Had dinner in old Vegas. Hipster joint. Had no problems, everyone was courteous. Macncheese was tremendous. Richie, I'm starting to think that maybe you're just an *******. Just sayin...I like you tho
Off to the racetrack. Porsche GT3 and new 650 hp C7 Z06 will be the instruments of choice. Remembering why we did this.

Really impressed with the Mac-N-Cheese revitalization. Lots of digitally re-mastered recipes out there, burning up the hipster scene it appears.
