I'm curious on UK's odds with him. I continuously read not to count UK out and that their chances of getting him are better than people think. I've also read it's between Wake and Duke, and read another person say it's between Wake and UK. So, does anyone really know?? With Duke getting the last visit and him and Tatum being BFF, I would assume Duke will be the pick.

I think there's little chance he winds up here now. If it's not Duke, it's Wake Forest imo.

Giles under Cal would be better for Giles.

Instead. Giles isn't Anthony Davis. We will sign Gabriel, SKJ, and prolly another big and also have Wynyard and Humphries. The more important question is, how the eff is Giles going to score against UK?

It's probably

1. Duke
2. UK
3. Wake Forest

Or maybe

1. Duke
2. Wake Forest
3. UK

You never know, big men love Danny Manning.

When Giles announces his intentions, we will know. He is coming to BBM, so there is a chance. No 1 thought Calipari could land Labissiere or Murray.

Just like with Brandon Ingram last year...

Ingram was never coming to UK and yet some held out hope.

Giles ain't coming to UK.

Hopefully we can get Fox, Monk and Bam...

When it comes to recruiting: In Cal I trust. I bet our odds are better than most want to believe. I really wish coaches were allowed to talk about it. Gotta love the NCAA. NOT.

Slim to none.
However, I think I'd be smart enough to the last several years draft results if I were him.

I don't think he comes to KY, but I think we have better odds than many fans think. I don't understand why the kid would keep his recruitment going for so long if he's such a Duke lock. I know its free visits, but this kid has been a superstar talent from his Freshman till now. I'm sure he's been all over the country visiting schools. Why not verbal to Duke and get it over with? It can't be for attention. He has been a top 5 player his entire highschool career. If he is going to Duke, I wish he would just get it over with. If Cal thought this, why waste so much time and resources recruiting him? Cal thinks he has a shot so until he's committed to Duke, so will I.

That's true, if I was coach K, I wouldn't want him to visit UK, just in case.

I can sorta, kinda see Giles not wanting to deal with any of the homefolks pushing Wake vs. Duke vs. UNC and opting to get away from it all to a different conference where he wouldn't have to play any of those teams.

Makes sense to me - but then I thought the same thing in regards to Brandon Ingram.

I smell a Harrison Barnes finish.

I still love hearing the story about what rat face did when Barnes said UNC...lol. Barnes & K were like best friends for 2 years until Roy stole him late in the game

Isn't strange that UNC is not in any of these high profile NC guys. I mean 10 years ago or even the Hansbrough era, you would think UNC would get these guys. Duke has not only surpassed UNC but UNC is not even an option. The kid last year followed UNC growing up, Giles said favorite team growing up was UNC. Most are saying Giles is the second best player to come out of NC since Jordan and right there with Danny Manning.

Just weird that UNC is not even getting on the final list for in state kids, Dean Smith and Roy never lost recruiting battle in state. It must be miserable to be a UNC fan to have Duke dominating winning NC"s and killing them recruiting.
IMO

One of his teammates Dads at the Nike EYBL said the word on his team was his Dad said he wouldn't leave Carolina, but then again he ended up leaving for his last year of high school...

It was about 75% Duke when he started playing for team USA. It went to about 90% when Tatum committed to Duke. About 95% Duke after getting commitments from Gabriel and SKJ.

I'd say there has to be about a 125.246% chance that nobody knows what the hell they're talking about. With that said, 56% Duke, 23% UK - NC.
