Government overreach is a huge problem. If government overreach wasn't profound in every crack of our society, then perhaps our country could come to an agreement that a national database isn't a threat to removing the guns from individuals who possess them legally.
Lots of guns are stolen from cars. It's not the responsibility of the victim of a gun theft if that gun is used in a crime; however, most criminals who commit theft are repeated offenders. If we enforced the laws to the letter of the law and not give judges the power of discretion, then the time between crimes committed by repeat offenders would have to be further between incidents because of simple math.
Social media should be regulated the very same way NBC is regulated when it comes to the content. Social media companies glorify the stupidity and ignorance of the average fool.
Radical Feminism has nuked the nuclear family. In most instances kids from families that have 2 parents involved in their lives are better equipped to deal with puberty than one or none.
The biggest thing is accountability taught at a young age. If you don't put yourself in a situation, odds are you will not get into trouble nor will you blame others for your mishaps. Also, look at yourself in the mirror from time to time and if you're being picked on and don't like it, change or get over it.
The problem here is clearly that this nation is awash in guns
The Tennessee House and Senate were debating a bill last week allowing constitutional carry and expanding it from 21+ to 18+. But yes, the problem is government overreach and single parents.

Come on man!!! 2nd ammendment!!! And if a few hundred kids have to die to keep those rights, that's a price most on here are willing for those kids and their parents to pay.
How many of those are gang or drug related violence vs. the more publicized mass shootings? Any number above zero is horrible for events like this, but let's keep our stats in perspective.
And I've offered suggestions/solutions in previous threads, so you guys know I'm not a 2nd amendment zealot.
Why worry about a few adults and children when drugs across the Southern border has deaths above WW2 daily levels, children are being trafficked for human body parts as sex slaves and forced to work as slave labor while the gangs and criminal element of this unabated illegal migration has those criminals on a yearly basis killing far more than the school shootings
Now school shootings are horrific but don ‘t touch the death and horrors of the Southern border which Democrats and Biden love
I blame it on a decline in family values and the left driving the destruction of former nuclear values

I have solutions in my opinion and am working on them Unfortunately it is going to take a generation and the 12 per cent nlack population recognizing the Democratic party has used and abused them mightily

I’m just curious.. and not being a smart *** here. Have you shot guns much? Most guns will accomplish the same thing an AR will. Certain circumstances (long distance), high capacity clips… are the only difference.
I’m just trying to understand why ARs are pointed out so often as the end all cause of this. Do normal citizens need ARs?.. I can understand someone saying no.
Point being.. if a person brought a 12gau high cap pump into a school, the damage would be every bit as bad, if not worse. The inside of a school is short range.

We just covered this in another thread a month ago. I don't care what type of gun it is - any gun that allows you to kill 50 people in minutes should be banned. The AR-15 just seems to be the gun of choice. Let's focus on the real issue and not what someone knows about guns.

I think a lot of people are mislead into believing AR stands for assault rifle when it stands for Armalite Rifle.
The AR in "AR-15" rifle stands for ArmaLite rifle, after the company that developed it in. the 1950s. "AR" does NOT stand for "assault rifle" or "automatic rifle." • AR-15-style rifles are NOT "assault weapons" or "assault rifles." An assault rifle is fully automatic.
I am a Pro 2nd. Amendment person and have no issues with banning an assault rifle such as AK 47 that is fully automatic
Again AR 15 OR AR10 are not assault rifles.
Edit... How is the Chicago assault weapon ban which covers almost 200 different guns working.?
