he said he was surprised by the Texas QB run game? Seriously? It reminds me of Landry's Senior year (I believe) and the week before the Texas game the BYU QB ran for 300 yards against texas or some such and we struggled all day and Heupel said he never even thought about using Trevor Knight to run any read option???

Okay, I'm done with the texas game and on to KSU. I hope we don't let texas beat us twice this week!

Where did you read this? I can't believe he would be surprised by the Texas QB running.

He was quoted as saying he knew the Tx QB was going to throw on their second td yet There were no Sooner dbs within 15 yds of the tight end.

???

Oh ok. Yes I read that quote from him. He knew, the announcers knew it, most fans watching the game knew it.........the players didn't know it.

BW - I saw an interview on Channel 8 sports in Tulsa and Mike said he was surprised by the QB run game. It may be on their website. It was on the Sportsextra show on Sunday nights at 10:30. The sports anchors were laughing about how Mike could have been surprised by this and they just couldn't believe he even admitted that. Maybe Mike put the wrong film in and it was from back in the Peter Gardere days and he didn't know the diference? Or maybe he was scouting the wrong team and actually scouted our Landry Jones team and thought that was Texas QB? :confused::)

I agree with Wadster that he should have called a timeout and prepared his players for that possibility with Swoopes.
