Well, I had mentioned I didn’t want to see any big plays given up defensively. That was really bad all around. No rush. Breakdown in coverage. Embarrassing effort at the end of the play. You have to get that guy out of bounds there and give yourself a chance to hold to 3.

That was pathetic and, frankly, already a bit concerning. How do you not give better effort on the 4 snap of the season?

ODU is one of 2-3 teams we could score against on that drive the way we played. Of course we’ll improve. Going to be a frustrating day. We’re going to run the ball and we don’t look capable of pushing them around much. Tree completely missed that double team on the 3rd down sack.
