Hang on to that energy next year lol
There have been plenty of legit reasons to criticize Pope. Today isn't the day imo. This was a great pickup for us. No doubt he has to mature and expand his game but he has a lot of raw tools.

I will also take a pass on any analysis from the folks who stated Chandler was a D2 player and that Mason and Hawthorne are scrubs and would be at the end of the bench. Sorry but those diagnoses were just a tad off. The program has a lot of work to do but today should be a good day for BBN.

Millogo took an official visit to Kentucky in mid-October, and then made two more trips to BYU and USC in late November. He possesses arguably the most potential in the 2027 class and could be its best NBA prospect, due to his size and expanding skill set. He can knock down 3-pointers and midrange shots while also protecting the rim with his large frame, a 7-foot-9 wingspan and massive standing reach.

Millogo joins fellow SC Next 100 prospect Ryan Hampton (No. 31) in Kentucky's 2027 class. He becomes the highest-ranked recruit for Pope since he replaced John Calipari in 2024, passing No. 18 Jasper Johnson in 2025.

Kentucky's recent hire of Alfred Aboya as an assistant coach is already paying dividends. Aboya was previously the head coach at NBA Academy Africa and has ties to Millogo after playing at UCLA with former Bruins star Luc Mbah a Moute, who is Millogo's legal guardian.

Mbah a Moute is also the guardian for Yann Kamagate, the No. 1 overall prospect in the 2028 class.

He was not being negative. At. All. Instead, he was clearly trying to be positive until some troll started messing with him for no apparent reason.

You might try actually reading these exchanges before joining in.
I did read them. And yes, he let a troll pull him in. I was just pointing out that several good things had happened, not to get all worked up. Maybe I could have worded it better, but in no way was I attacking him.

They'll be around with "he's to tall to have good footwork and mobility" in 3,2,1........
I've seen some people saying he's the next Shagari Alleyne, but that's old head logic. "Super bigs" are the meta in basketball now. See: Arizona, Florida, Michigan, Uconn, etc. Although, I've heard he doesn't really play like those kind of players anyways, so I'm not sure what to expect. I just know he's a top prospect that's been blowing up, which is exactly what we've been clamouring for.

Not to mention Momcilovic could come back if he's a late 1st round or 2nd round projection. He will make more money here if that's the case.
We could possibly return everyone but Kepnang, although obviously we will not. Moreno is most likely gone as well. I would be fine if Hampton and Millogo are our only hs recruits for this cycle. Fill any other spots, if there is any, with the portal later on. Probably look for a starting center in the portal, but might not need anything else.

There are a lot of videos on this guy. I know videos are just that, videos, but you can see without question that he does at least have a decent fundamental baseline, contrary to somebody like Alleyne. While not a Herculean specimen, he isn’t a toothpick. He has a great looking shot, above average mobility for somebody that size, and length that will haunt anybody. Plus, has another season to keep improving on certain vital skills. Just take of yourself big fella!!!

Maybe Chroix is OK …….but that snarks guy is a clown .
Snarks. Man, I’ve always thought he and Snackbar were the same guy. I remember Snarks was ate up with the Cavs? I think years ago lol. But personally, I’d love for Mark to bring this thing on the tracks. I’ve always wanted a lifetime player coach, similar to Roy at UNC. So I am not someone who wouldn’t kill for it. The issue is back and white to me. We do not need to mess around in this too long if it’s not going to work. Marks history says he’s not Kentucky material. We’re in year 3 and the recruiting has been an F. Results on the court are a D for Kentucky standards, imo. So if he’s going to become something he’s never been, he needs to do it quickly or we need to move along. Mark wasn’t hired to figure it out in 5 years either, the is the NIL. It’s also Kentucky. I know you’re not saying it but some of these guys find this post extreme and that is an amazing thought.

Who knows if it will be enough, but I have to at least give credit to Pope for evolving as a coach. He made changes on his staff and seems to have a different mindset this year. It seems to be paying off somewhat. That gives me a little hope going forward.
