A bunch of street ball - hate what Lucas is running.8-18 for lewis with 1 assist and 4 turnovers. That's a strange line for him since he usually is a high assist man
Miami is tough, but they had 6 total assists. 35% from the field, 24% from 3. He's like a young version of Calipari. All recruiting no gameplan. I don't get the infatuation at all.A bunch of street ball - hate what Lucas is running.
Lewis is the only thing that kept it close. Henderson & Reneau were 3-19 from the field, were wild an OOC. Lucas looks like he needed 1-2 more actual intelligent basketball player on the court. Weird mix, all athlete no IQ or sense of calm out there. Lewis looks like the best player, but that kid has been me first since highschool.
His name gets mentioned here a lot, but I don’t think he would ever be considered by Kentucky.Don't really understand the fascination with Lucas either. He might be great one day but hiring him at this point is a major risk.
When I was watching he seemed out of control for the most part. He had some wide open threes when they could have gotten it close and it was brick city, not even close.A bunch of street ball - hate what Lucas is running.

Don't share the ball, a bunch of selfish iso. A lot of wild drives. Literally no sets, real actions. Lazy once they had to run it and always defaulted to some guy just taking his man.Miami is tough, but they had 6 total assists. 35% from the field, 24% from 3. He's like a young version of Calipari. All recruiting no gameplan. I don't get the infatuation at all.
Hahahahahahahaa! It “appears “ that Lucas will be a good recruiter . Other than that, he coached a team to a SEVEN seed and has a total of ONE NCAA tournament win .
Impressive huh . lol
Cute . Bet.They will outrebound us by 50
I'm personally looking for what kind of culture and system a guy runs, not just paying up for whatever recruit he can get. This fanbase knows as much as anyone that recruiting only goes so far. I'm seeing nothing in terms of connectivity or roster building that shows on court smarts or a team that looks connected. It “appears “ that Lucas will be a good recruiter . Other than that, he coached a team to a SEVEN seed and has a total of ONE NCAA tournament win .
Impressive huh . lol
Yep. Two years ago a lot of our fans would have fired Mark Stoops to hire Deon Sanders. Look how that would have turned out.lolI'm personally looking for what kind of culture and system a guy runs, not just paying up for whatever recruit he can get. This is a room of 80% retards.Yep. Two years ago a lot of our fans would have fired Mark Stoops to hire Deon Sanders. Look how that would have turned out.lol
He’s was playing me ball, if your point guard is doing all the shooting then it’s not goodLewis has 24 points ... just tuned in to watch.
Florida guard play is their weak link.
Jai Lucas is the shiney ball because he's pulling in some 5*. Don't want a guy that rolls out street ball offenses. That doesn't win in todays game of spacing.Yep. Two years ago a lot of our fans would have fired Mark Stoops to hire Deon Sanders. Look how that would have turned out.lol
Acaden Lewis has been all about himself since HS .He’s was playing me ball, if your point guard is doing all the shooting then it’s not good
Better than 0 tournament win Pope before UK.It “appears “ that Lucas will be a good recruiter . Other than that, he coached a team to a SEVEN seed and has a total of ONE NCAA tournament win .
Impressive huh . lol
That’s why he bailed on Pope, didn’t want to come off the benchAcaden Lewis has been all about himself since HS .
Dude blew off UK, then went to Nova, then blew them off for Miami. It's just who he is.That’s why he bailed on Pope, didn’t want to come off the bench
So what. We’re talking the NEXT HIRE here . Not the LAST hire .Better than 0 tournament win Pope before UK.
WRONG . His father absolutely said in an interview that the plan was to come in and learn as a backup to a veteran guard and then take over the following year. That’s why he bailed on Pope, didn’t want to come off the bench
It’s not who he lost to, it's how he lost. He is a poor man's John Calipari and that is definitely not a compliment.I love how all these UK fans are bashing Jai losing to the #1 team in the nation but Pope barely squeaks a win against UCF and he’s the man
Freaking delusional just because Pope played here.
This is some seriously weak sauce. Pope has more NCAAT wins since coming to UK than Jai will have in his career.Better than 0 tournament win Pope before UK.
Committed, then when Willard took the Nova role and needed bodies, gave him a bag and a starting role. Willard wasn't even on his list. He would have started Y2 with Willard, but leaves for Lucas. He's an heavy on-ball shoot first PG. Not a winning player, plays for the Lewis camp.WRONG . His father absolutely said in an interview that the plan was to come in and learn as a backup to a veteran guard and then take over the following year.
Lowe was a 2 year guy so the plan was changed.
Really, I could of swore that he bailed and went elsewhereWRONG . His father absolutely said in an interview that the plan was to come in and learn as a backup to a veteran guard and then take over the following year.
Lowe was a 2 year guy so the plan was changed.
I’m just going by what his father said in the interview. Who knows if he’s telling the truth.Committed, then when Willard took the Nova role and needed bodies, gave him a bag and a starting role. Willard wasn't even on his list. He would have started Y2 with Willard, but leaves for Lucas. He's an heavy on-ball shoot first PG. Not a winning player, plays for the Lewis camp.
He did bail and go elsewhere.Because “according to his father “ ,Pope changed the plan when he brought in a guy with 2 years eligibility.Really, I could of swore that he bailed and went elsewherethanks for letting me know
I’m not intent on being rude, but I would like to ask are you serious??? Pope has won three NCAA tournament games. Lucas has won one in his first year as head coach and he is 37 years old. I think he will surpass three don’t you? This is some seriously weak sause. Pope has more NCAAT wins since coming to UK than Jai will have in his career.
He’s lucky he gets to play in the weak a*s ACC. That streetball crap wont win games in any other league.
So who was going to be the starter where he would come off the bench? Think his Dad was just making excusesHe did bail and go elsewhere.Because “according to his father “ ,Pope changed the plan when he brought in a guy with 2 years eligibility.
They're actually going to end up with one of the toughest OOC's when it's all said and done. They will most likely get both #10 Houston and #17 Kansas in the Player's Era, while also playing Grand Canyon, @ FSU, #14 Miami, and #2 Duke.Florida not attempting much difficulty ooc other than this and duke.
Yeah Miami's offense did not look good at all but you also got to understand that Florida might have one of the best defenses ever this season. Fland, Aberdeen, Haugh, Condon, Chinyelu are all elite defenders which is kinda insane.Miami is tough, but they had 6 total assists. 35% from the field, 24% from 3. He's like a young version of Calipari. All recruiting no gameplan. I don't get the infatuation at all.
I believe they thought they were getting Donavon Dent but with Pope he might have been foolish enough to actually think he was getting Braden Smith from Purdue as was rumored, lol. So who was going to be the starter where he would come off the bench? Think his Dad was just making excuses
UCF will give Miami all they can handle if they meet this year.I love how all these UK fans are bashing Jai losing to the #1 team in the nation but Pope barely squeaks a win against UCF and he’s the man
Freaking delusional just because Pope played here.
First game of the year with only a couple of players returning, vs the #1 team in the Country will make you look like that.Miami is tough, but they had 6 total assists. 35% from the field, 24% from 3. He's like a young version of Calipari. All recruiting no gameplan. I don't get the infatuation at all.
I’d explain it to you, but you wouldn’t get it.Shows puts his hand on a Miami player to keep things from escalating, the player smacks Show’s hand away and no tech.
No, just like all the other players, he’s a Free Agent, and is allowed under the rules to go make as much money as he can make, and just because your idol chooses not to be “the highest bidder” in a recruitment, doesn’t mean it’s just, “who he is”.Dude blew off UK, then went to Nova, then blew them off for Miami. It's just who he is.
I followed Lewis' recruitment and his dad is part of the problem. Go look it up. AJ Storr was a free agent annually too. He's at his 5th college in 5 years, at 4 highschools before that. No one other than a mid major would touch him this year. No, just like all the other players, he’s a Free Agent, and is allowed under the rules to go make as much money as he can make, and just because your idol chooses not to be “the highest bidder” in a recruitment, doesn’t mean it’s just, “who he is”.
Would you like to make some Whine with those sour grapes instead? Oh, wait…
They're actually going to end up with one of the toughest OOC's when it's all said and done. They will most likely get both #10 Houston and #17 Kansas in the Player's Era, while also playing Grand Canyon, @ FSU, #14 Miami, and #2 Duke.
We beat two pretty decent big 12 teams. There’s no guarantee Miami would’ve beaten either.Miami Street ball or not would beat all three teams that we have played. The talent level of our team will get exposed on the defensive end as well as the rebounding as soon as we play a legitimate team.
