Glad two TDs beat none

If stream is glitching use 3rd camera all the way on the right it's a Flo feed no glitches

Levi wins the Gold for himself and clinches the title for the team!!

[nerfstate]

Atta boy, Levi!

OK, Now!

[Corby2]

USA unbelievable team our best EVER

[HikeNatParks]

I believe that makes Levi the youngest gold medalist at world seniors at 79kg! Un f-ing real
And he already will be the last great 21-year-old senior in NCAAs with his 2-1-3-1 placements.

[LemonPie]

4-time silver, 0-time gold has to be brutal. Oh well!

[zzs006]

The jumps Levi has made in the past 2 years are pretty crazy. Not many had him winning a medal last year and then this year he goes undefeated and wins a world title. And he is only 22. He is going to win a lot of hardware in the coming years

[RS17]

I can’t believe how quickly and how well Levi transitioned to freestyle. Congratulations world champion Levi Haines.

The guy from Buffaloistan?

[nerfstate]

I'm honestly not sure who I'm going to end up rooting for at 57Kg now. It's a tough, tough call. I love USA, Roman, and Tacos, and have nothing but respect for Spencer. Whistle-time decision for me.

[Kingslayer]

Anyone know if Levi is going up or down for the Olympics ?

[HOA242n!]

I thought Levi's transition to freestyle would look like Starocci's; eg. he's as tough and strong as they get, but maybe didn't have the athleticism to hang with the elite on the world stage. Boy was I wrong.

[johnstownsteel]

Anyone know where I can find the pbp for Levis match? Lol

Been in that boat before with two high school boys that I knew very well who were meeting in the state finals in WA. What made it even worse is that they were also friends.

[Ilivewithcancer]

USA has won the World’s! I want RBY to get his Gold Medal.

[vhsalum]

Let’s go PA boy Spencer !!!!!!

(gotta help you jamokes remember who to root for)

[donboy6499]

Anyone know where I can find the pbp for Levis match? Lol

Did they really run off the pbp folk here?

[pawrstlersinpa]

Team title clinched. Now, I have no problem rooting for RBY.

Well, so much for that. Quick TD and 17 leg laces and it's over.

[mcpat]

Welp

[APrimusHokie]

Wow. Spencer

[jmadden1998]

That was fun!

I think his post was a sarcastic jab at you know who. It got a chuckle out of me.

:26 and Spencer is a World Champion

Pretty sure he wasn't.

Man, the pendulum swang hard the other way from yesterday's PBP.

I will go with the one who wrote 2 for exposure (vs reversal).

[Reslo1]

Damn, good for Spencer. That was fast! He’s just so tough with the lace.

Good for Spencer.

Bad for wrestling.

Are we all really entertained by a wrestler on another’s ankles and turning a dude sitting up on his butt 5 times? The leg lace (repeated) exposure is ridiculous.

[nerfstate]

I’m happy for Spencer, and couldn’t be prouder of Roman and his approach to challenges in life most of us can’t comprehend.

This one time yes I was.

[zzs006]

Khaniev and Levi are going to have a lot of battles in the coming years. Levi is only 22 and Khaniev just 20

I almost missed this PBP. Where are the other two?

It's part of FS, gotta be able to defend against it. It's like a quick pin, really.

[RS17]

It’s crazy how razor thin the margins are at this level. Spencer was done and used an elementary move from folk style to come back and win that match when all the other guy had to do was just stay there.

[WPIALBrwnPSU]

Levi got a bear today!

[Sunshine88!]

The last session. LET'S GET AFTER IT USA

79 kilogram gold medal match: Levi Haines vs. Mohammad Nokhodilarimi of Iran

Levi in blue and Nok (my shorthand) in red.

First period

We're underway. The two lock up in the middle of the mat immediately before Levi tries to shoot in but Nok fends it off. Nok warned for passivity for the first time at 5:14. Nok shoots and ends up driving Haines off the edge for a step out and 1-0 lead at 4:51. Now there is blood time for Nok. Casey Cunningham is shouting instructions to Levi during the break.

We're back underway and Levi drops in on a single and gets two to take a 2-1 lead via a takedown. He tried to gut wrench but Nok caught him and gets two reversal points to take a 3-2 lead at 3:59. It's 3-2 at the break in favor of Nok.

Second period

Levi drops in on a double to a single and gets the takedown at 2:00 to retake the lead 4-3. He throws a leg in but can't get a turn and a stoppage is called at 1:50. We're now back underway Nok changes level and shoots but Haines blocked it off. Nok tries to run him off the mat but Haines says no and they break apart. There's 1:20 to wrestle. Levi tries to change levels but nothing comes of it. We're at :55. Haines leads 4-3. Nok with a neat shot attempt that puts Levi off balance but he is fine. Nok underhooks but can't get him t the mat. Nok trying to score but Haines is defending well.

He wins. Levi Haines is a gold medalist, 4-3, and Team USA wins the title

CONGRATULATIONS LEVI HAINES

[WEAREPSU_LI]

Sad for RBY, happy for Spencer. The kid's tough as nails, been through a lot, and this very clearly means more than anything to him. Long time coming.
