Game Thread: No. 20 Northwestern at Oregon

[cat inkansas]

Defense is not good

Lack of pass rush makes our defensive backs look even worse.

[Fanaticat98]

It is a very bad sign on the road that we completely dominated the half but are only up 7 and kicking off after half.

[TheC]

Need to start it up again in second half. This is a ball game.

[bringbacktherantboard]

We need a Chip-like guru as DC. McGarigle has zero creativity. That 2-minute drive was a huge momentum shifter.

One drive and everybody's panicking.

[989bjm989]

We’re up 7 on the road at the half. Oregon had one good drive where they got lucky.

[jensberg]

One drive and everybody's panicking.

Because at this point they have all the momentum and they're going to get the ball first and could potentially score and tie the game

[stpaulcat]

Now the cats gotta have the best third quarter of the season.

[AdamOnFirst]

One drive and everybody's panicking.

It’s tough because we had two golden opportunities to get off the field and couldn’t do it

and 4th

[BFDCat]

Defense will step it up and we will win this!

Two good drives, but the first one was messed up by the bad snap.

[Fanaticat98]

It’s going to have to be the defense that steps up and starts getting pressure or causing turnovers.

Two good drives, but the first one was messed up by the bad snap.

That makes it a bad drive.

[GECat2]

We need to blitz more as our DB’s can’t keep up with the Oregon receivers. We also need to mix up the play calling on second down. We ran on almost every second down in the first half.

[Cool Cat]

No fear. We're cooking the ducks! NU by 13!

The D has given up 1 touchdown that required 3 amazing throws. I don't think Oregon will be able to do that every drive.

Duck à la Violet

I’d rather be up 7 than be losing.

[eddie_gocats]

O has some freak letes…. But Cats are 17-0 when they are the first to reach 21.

Go Cats!

[TheC]

That looks bad

[Fanaticat98]

Ugh. I really hope he is OK.

[eddie_gocats]

[jensberg]

Stating the obvious that we certainly can't afford another defensive back out

[GECat2]

F*ck!!

[DaCat]

Damn he looks like he’s knocked out cold. Hope he’sok

[TheC]

Phew

[bringbacktherantboard]

We could really use a bye week to heal up from some of these injuries...

[TheC]

Thank God for Braden Brus

[Deeringfish]

Need a score here even just a FG

[Deeringfish]

WOW nice FG

[bringbacktherantboard]

Need a score here even just a FG

Thank goodness we cashed in a long FG.

[AdamOnFirst]

Who was out there at the boundary safety on the one snap? Huge moment there

[eddie_gocats]

First to 21 and over…

[Sheffielder]

Kleather = Boomer

[TheC]

Good swing back, but still a ball game

[Deeringfish]

Good swing back, but still a ball game

Thy to keep it at two possesions.

[Fanaticat98]

A 2 yard run that turned into 35 by horrendous tackling.

[Fanaticat98]

We are going to need touchdowns because obviously we’re not stopping them

[Deeringfish]

I can't remember such bad tackling

[989bjm989]

Tackling brutal this game. Must turn it around.
