Football GAMEDAY THREAD: Rutgers Football versus Michigan

[Caliknight]

More bad DB play. It’s a fundamental rule in every sport where defensive players cover offensive players. It’s imperative you try to locate the man your marking and the ball. It’s why we don’t get interceptions. They are never making a play for ball. It also allows the offensive players to make a play on the ball with no fear of it being intercepted. It also leads to more penalties because the DB is so fixed on the man.

Most damning is every DB player that leaves or goes to the NFL immediately stops playing this way. It’s dumb, simpleton meathead football.

But ticket office will announce 40,000. Notice they never tell you turnstile attendance.

No one in the country does this.

She cares as much as we do. It’s all financial. She was put in terrible situation with the contract she inherited and Schiano. But, it’s her job to fix it. I’m confident she will.

That contract extension was imbecilic. If Schiano is here next year, and I still think it's a coins toss, but it will be because of finances. He's not the solution.

[Knight Shift]

Making T Carr look like a Heisman candidate out there

Surace for Heisman!

He would have been fired after UMass if money wasn’t a concern

[AnonAmoose26]

TD Houston!
No flags!

[Anon1753410373]

Hopefully that gives Surace confidence.

[RUfrom NJ]

I like Houston. Hope he’s here next year.

[BillyC80]

Heckuva play by Surace.

[Knight Shift]

[BillyC80]

AJ seems to throw better on the run.

[kupuna133]

Nice ball.

[Knight Shift]

solid tackle by 41 right there

[Dowling's Revenge]

We get a huge plan offense and our defense just has no chance to follow up

[PessimisticallyHopefulPragmatist]

AJ seems to throw better on the run.

He runs?

[BillyC80]

Good to get a stop.

[rutgersguy2]

[Dowling's Revenge]

Well I'm invested now

[Dowling's Revenge]

Oh my God they finally called holding on Michigan

[Caliknight]

Defense finally seems like they like hitting

[AnonAmoose26]

Two holds in a row? Alert the media!

[Knight Shift]

41 on defense is playing improved.

[rutgersguy2]

We can get the lead before half

[BillyC80]

AJ looking more comfortable. Feels good to be in this game, scoring 3 times already.

[Knight Shift]

Please Greg.

[Knight Shift]

We can get the lead before half

A Greg fanboy?

[rutgersguy2]

A Greg fanboy?

What will be will be I have no control over it, just comment on things as they are.

[kupuna133]

As good as Kirk has been this afternoon. That last series was awful.

[Rutgers Chris]

Where on earth has this pass rush been all year?

[RICHIE_IS_A_PSU_FAN]

WTF are we giving them the ball back. terrible clock management

[RICHIE_IS_A_PSU_FAN]

Two holds in a row? Alert the media!

they have to call a few to make it look honest.

[Caliknight]

A created turnover would go a long way to winning this game. Surace needs to be better protected. They are close getting to him and a fumble.

[RU on Manns Planet]

What a joke. Michigan coach lamenting the number of penalties they had but when you go out with that very aggressive style of play, of course, sometimes they are going to call them.

[iReC89]

I'm a bad fan. I chose to stay home to mow the lawn and do yard work. Travel day tomorrow for work.

Yard work? Thats why I’m here!

[iReC89]

He runs?

He was pretty mobile and gutsy in HS with good vision. I feel like they have been holding him back so he doesn’t wreck himself.

[Anon1754923206]

How bad is Michigan?!

[RUChet]

Can we pass more and run less? Running isn’t working

we actually could win this game and anytime Michigan loses it’s just so nice!!!!

[RU on Manns Planet]

Brighton just beat Man City 1 - 0

Macclesfield beat Crystal Palace in the FA Cup not long ago

[RUDiddy777]

Just tuning in. Sure I will regret it.
