Zzz: you don’t see Marcus heading up to 65 kg next year to better set him up for ‘28 OTT? Wasn’t it just last year that Blaze moved up to 65 kg and beat Bassett in WTT for U23s?

A rare display of emotion from Roman after his semi win. So proud of him!
Really torn over Lee/Roman after seeing this. Though still childishly upset that Spencer is the sole reason Cael ain’t chasing 11 straight in March, I was hoping the Hawk would win his first senior world gold. Now seeing RBY’s pain over his mom’s addiction, I’m leaning his way.
Bout is a win-win regardless. Either USA gets gold or one of my favorite and stoic former Lions does.

I'm not torn at all, I'm behind RBY 100%. If Spencer wins, good for him. He's the heavy favorite IMHO.

The NLWC.

So RBY, Blaze, Zain, Haines, Dake, and Snyder all medaling at Worlds? Wow!

Then you got Luke, Ono, James, Duke, Messenbrink, Brooks (he’s back), and Barr coming.

Did I miss anyone?

unbelievable. Not to mention Desmond, SVN, Kasak, Rocco, Henckel, Asher… also training.

other than Brooks, these guys are all in the room along with Bo!

Does Nolf show up sometimes. How about CStar? Where’s Kerk?

What a massive for Blaze. By winning a medal he now sits out to final X which is a huge advantage with how tough 61kg. Also, he was the best guy in this weight I think. So close to being a world champion
Personally think Blaze will win a Gold Medal and Be the World Champion at the Olympics which will be here before we know it.

This is how I roll , will root for SL . Not hating the guys who wrestle for other countries but feel like that is taking the easier road vs having to go through the gauntlet that the US guys go through to make the team.
This isn’t directed at you personally but I feel like this ‘easier road’ claim is only applied to RBY. The Amines chose to wrestle for San Marino and there wasn’t a peep about how that improved their path. Same for Sebastian Rivera wrestling for Puerto Rico. I’ve seen far more angry messages about RBY wrestling for Mexico.

And can it really be called an easier path after his statements about what he’s gone through to get there? And now is in a world final? Seems like he’s just a damn good wrestler.

Yes Sir. If the Absolute Best Wrestlers in the Country don’t Pick PSU they are making a Huge Mistake. Bottom line if you want to be a World Champion You Come to PSU. The Facts are well documented.

Dake vs Dzhioev (AZE)

Dake in Blue, AZE in red. AZE knocked off Greece and Georgia on his way to the finals. Dake smiling and looking relaxed on his walk out. And here we go!

Heavy handfighting from both wrestlers to start and they both get a verbal. AZE tying up Dake's fingers and he is the first to get warned for passivity. Halfway through the first and no score. AZE goes on the clock. Dake warned for heavy clubs. Dake on the board first with a passivity point, 1-0. Dake gets warned for passivity. AZE digs an underhook and tries to run Dake down, but no scoring, and we go to the break 1-0, Dake.

Immediately on the restart, both guys get stern warning for heavy hands. Dake in on a slide-by, switches to a double on the edge and finishes. 3-0 Dake. AZE digs underhook and gets a pushout, 3-1. 1:30 left. AZE with heavy collar ties, Dake playing defense. Dake is put on the clock with 1:07 left. No scoring, so AZE gets a passivity point, 3-2 Dake. Restart with 0:11. AZE on the legs, Dake to chest wrap, and he hangs on to win, 3-2!!!!!!!!

5x World Champion, NLWC's own, KYLE DAKE!!!!!
