*****Iowa vs Minnesota Game Thread*****

[uihawk82]

Nice throw by Brown, right in the window but a better defensive play

Is this the dreaded hawks' game after bye week letdown!!!

[HawkBall23]

How bad is Washington's defense??!!??!!

Holy fudding hell.

[LetsGoHawks83]

Going from bad to worse.

Eff this undisciplined football. Great practices the last 2 weeks

[Jonesy5960]

This offense is Biff bad today.

[ottumwan in tx]

Way to score studs

[RoseBowlorBust]

McCollum and Jansen Hoops time

[Hawkfan_08*]

Upsets happen every week. You just hope it isn't you. Today doesn't seem to be our day at all.

[Rambler Hawk]

How many penalties is that today? Just shooting ourselves in the foot over and over again.

Lol - they finally (reluctantly) gave one to the Rodents...

[PinkShizzle]

I blame beth

I'd put blame on Kirk and our coaches for a sh*t-*ss showing on gameday after a bye week before Beth...

[Hawk48]

14-17 coming off a bye week. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

agreed Ferentz teams often take a dump and are not prepared

[Iowameat]

[RagnarLothbrok]

Dual threat QB, Hank Brown.

And still provides nothing that will move the needle on offense.

[QChawks]

I will be dead and gone before Iowa has another 300- yard passing game

[2D]

No idea why we go for the bomb. We don't have the athletes to do it. Hank got one lucky bomb against ISU. It's just a waste of a down.

[Opie Oids]

Makes me sick they’re going to lose to that narcissistic, bald-headed leprechaun

[UIAlumFireFighter]

A quarterback can make an OC look bad but jesus, what is Lester doing today. Do they NOT understand how predictable their play-calling becomes?

How do they not discuss that maybe we need to get away from an automatic run play on 2nd down.....

[uihawk82]

And effing PJ dickhead coaching as the goofers are piling on, playing way after the whistle but these refs wont call it

[GoHawks00000]

not even 5 yards per completion

Pitiful

[TRHawkeye28]

I would still stick with Heck. Hank is just bad. No good qualities

[Jonesy5960]

Oregon going down to the Illini to end their CFP hopes.

[UIAlumFireFighter]

I will be dead and gone before Iowa has another 300- yard passing game

We all will be.

[Hawkfan_08*]

Heck has to come back.

[JerseyCityHawk]

Are we going down? Little room for error and Iowa is playing up to their opponents right now as Minny is not a good football team… let’s hope for some magic as I won’t give up just yet but they need points by the end of the 3rd

[Rambler Hawk]

Did they practice this week?

[Denmar]

How can receivers NOT get any kind of separation downfield?!

Every single longer toss is TIGHTLY contested.

I’d bet there are other options that are open. Locking on to 1st option is what Brown does

[Hawki93]

14-17 coming off a bye week. This shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.

Why is it acceptable though? That's what pisses me off. It's beyond a trend at this point, it's a habit. A habit that falls squarely on the head coach and his staff. What Ferentz is doing isn't working and he should be called out on it. Make changes or GTFO. Cignetti won a natty in YEAR TWO. YEAR EFFING TWO.

Iowa can do better.

[10khawk]

This is a game made for YouTube tv split screen

[QChawks]

Oregon going down to the Illini to end their CFP hopes.

Iowa’s chances are ending in 30 minutes

[Hawk48]

Iowa cannot play with expectations. I have been a fan for 45 years and that has been a truth for as long as I can remember. The only times we have been really good have been when we were expected to stink. Can't stand always hoping we can sneak up on teams and get the win.....

65 years and this is true

[r_desihawk]

Heck has to come back.

probably in 4th quarter

[Driftless_Hawk]

Absolutely pathetic performance today. Minnesota has 4 lineman out and can run the ball better than us still.

Had a chance at a special season and didn't show up today. I've never seen Iowa have so many self inflicted mistakes in a game

[HawkBall23]

Upsets happen every week. You just hope it isn't you. Today doesn't seem to be our day at all.

Its an upset when the under dog outplays you.

Minnesota hasn't had to outplay anybody today (so far).

[Andrewrayhons]

Big hold there

[EvilMonkeyInTheCloset]

Crossing routes no longer exist in our offense?

And now our defense has decided to stop bailing out the offense.

RIP Iowa

[RoseBowlorBust]

Terrible tackling

[TheGreatDivider101]

Tackling is very hard today.

[MFinn]

Did we forget how to tackle? What the hell was that crap?

[Driftless_Hawk]

Also, neither QB is any good. Special season down the drain today.

[PW Herman]

Refs tucking those flags

[10khawk]

Montgomery tacking ghosts all day
