Basketball Rutgers Basketball falls to St. John’s in 4OT exhibition marathon

[PiscatawayMike]

What I didn't want to see rears its ugly head to start the second half... ugh

[BillyC80]

Johnnies imposing their will on RU.

[BillyC80]

Need Gurdak and Tariq in there.

[bac2therac]

Yikes

[ScarletKid2008]

I love having this at msg for an exhibition

I also like 2 former opponents and good teams and not cupcakes

need high major talent to play against

Would be a lot cooler of these two games were regualr season out of conference games

[Mr. Magoo1]

I see Sydnor played only 4 minutes. Anyone know if that because he’s coming off an injury?

[Rusty_Screw_88]

They are rotating players in and assessing what they have. No problem with this as it is what exhibition games are for.

[RUbyRED]

J Mike 0pts / 0rbs / 0 asts. Can’t even break a press. Also Powers is just not a Big Ten athlete.

[PiscatawayMike]

8 points in 12+ minutes... brutal

[bac2therac]

1-19 last fg

32-8 outscored in 2nd half

[BillyC80]

Still anyone’s ballgame. RU needs a run here. Hopefully SJU expended too much energy.

[29PAS]

1pt game, 3min

[BillyC80]

Tariq cold as ice now, damn.

[bac2therac]

5-29 fg this half and continuing miserable 3 pt shooting...only 6 players basically contributing despite the so called deepest team in years

Sju went cold and free throws keeping Rutgers in game

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

Don't get your panties in a bunch bac. This is an exhibition game.

[bac2therac]

Well here we go

69 all

[RUgal]

Good D by Gurdak.

[RUbyRED]

Huge shot by Darin. Lino the one man press break the only thing keeping this team alive 2nd half

[bac2therac]

71 all 15 sec..rutgers ball

[BillyC80]

RU takes the lead with 38 seconds to go, 71-69, now tied.

[bac2therac]

Dream big dreams

[Pdabs]

Bless you guys with the updates.

[bac2therac]

Do they have overtime?

[bac2therac]

Oh they do

[bac2therac]

Im convinced that everything in this game was planned in advance

[BillyC80]

DB rushed it.

[BillyC80]

Good resilience by RU. Could have folded after giving up that big lead and falling behind by 6. Now leading in OT, 72-71, 4:09 to go.

[BillyC80]

RU up 74-71, 3:26 to go in OT.

[29PAS]

74-71,R

[BillyC80]

Tied at 74, 2:27 to go, RU ball.

[BillyC80]

Quinn Ellis looks like an NBA player.

[29PAS]

76-74R, 40 sec

[BillyC80]

RU up 76-74 with the ball, 40 seconds left, timeout.

[Knight Shift]

[bac2therac]

What a thriller

[BillyC80]

Double OT

[RUbyRED]

Francis having trouble with the length they’re throwing at him

[Sweet Pea's Corner]

Double OT this game goes to 3 my head is gonna go squish.

[PiscatawayMike]

I really thought Jones would drain that 3...
