Keli has alluded to in at least 1 interview the portal haul was less than great. She’s not raising this money to give it to a meathead who doesn’t know what to do with it.That tweet sums up Greggy’s exit meeting a week from Sunday!

in 1978 we decided to go 1A rather than 1AA.. I asked grok to figure out our win percentasge since then without Schiano..This speaks for itself. Regardless of what happens this year, it should be his last
Lowest Career Win-Loss Percentages (Established Active Power 4 Coaches)

GREG 2.0 is .431
lolin 1978 we decided to go 1A rather than 1AA.. I asked grok to figure out our win percentasge since then without Schiano..
That’s 1978–2000 plus 2012–2019 — 31 seasons. Ties counted as a half-win.
What that window includes:
What it leaves out:
- The tail of the Burns years (1978–83 still had several winning seasons and the first bowl)
- The Anderson / Graber / Shea stretch (mostly losing)
- Kyle Flood and Chris Ash (2012–19), which had two winning years and then a steep drop
So once you start the clock at the I-A decision and strip Schiano out, the program sits well under .500 — closer to .410 than the .488 figure from 1950 onward.
- The strong Bateman/Burns run of the 1960s–1976
- All of Schiano (2001–11 and 2020–present)
.410 vs Schiano's .478 in the Big East and now Big Ten.

It isn't trivial information that Greg did not post a .500+ record until after Louisville, Cincinnati, and USF replaced Miami, Virginia Tech, (and Temple) in the Big East. Louisville was 1-3 against ranked teams (beat Boise State in the Liberty Bowl) in their last two seasons in C-USA and Cincinnati was 1-2 (beating then #21 Southern Miss) against ranked teams over that time. Miami was 8-3 and VT was 4-3 against ranked teams over the same two seasons. Perhaps RU will win 8 or 9 games under Schiano if the SEC raids the top B1G teams! Come on SEC, I hear Indiana, Ohio State, Oregon want in!!in 1978 we decided to go 1A rather than 1AA.. I asked grok to figure out our win percentasge since then without Schiano..

5 Losses That Derailed Greg Schiano at Rutgers
Greg Schiano's second go around at Rutgers has had it's bright spots, but not enough. Here are five losses that have derailed his return.mikefarrellsports.com
Sadly, in 2.0 era, Greg's only "signature B1G win" is beating an 8-5/5-4 Minnesota. Some will point to the Miami bowl game, but the standard should be wins in conference. One signature win in 55 B1G games. That speaks volumes. The thing is you can add another 5-6 games to this list. Has more wtf losses than any coach I’ve seen. Shane Beamer at UofSC gives him a run. But he at least can recruit and has multiple top 10 wins.
His record will be a lot worse by the time he is replaced. He will be the laughing stock of college football.Sadly, in 2.0 era, Greg's only "signature B1G win" is beating an 8-5/5-4 Minnesota. Yep. True leaders leave something better than they found it. Schiano is on the verge of leaving it exactly how he found it. Ash level.Greg is still going backwards and destroying whatever semblance of a legacy he thinks he has with each game.
That by itself is impressive…not good impressive, but so nonetheless!!Yep. True leaders leave something better than they found it. Schiano is on the verge of leaving it exactly how he found it. Ash level.
The thing is he basically burned the program to the ground on the way to Tampa. Took the entire staff with him sans flood. I knew the department was seriously dysfunctional when Greg came back as the OSU dc and they played a tribute video and urged the fans to give him a standing ovation.Yep. Yep. He's always been about Greg Schiano. He loves Rutgers, because it has allowed him to put Greg Schiano first. The thing is he basically burned the program to the ground on the way to Tampa. Maybe not fair given the talent in the WR room, but Deondre Johnson is having quiet a career since leaving Rutgers.

The 2026 NCAAF season stats per game for Deondre Johnson of the Jacksonville State Gamecocks on ESPN. Includes full stats, per opponent, for regular and postseason.www.espn.com
6'8" 220 is good size. Jacksonville State has more NIL than Rutgers? He had 4 receptions and 112 yards last night.Maybe he'd still be here if the fans ponied up.Of course, if he was here, he'd be tackling opposing CBs after interceptions.
NIL becomes less and less of an excuse as this season goes on. The important thing is that their QB is throwing passes that are somewhere near the receivers.6'8" 220 is good size. Jacksonville State has more NIL than Rutgers? He had 4 receptions and 112 yards last night.

Nuts : "upsets happen!" is a phrase I used repeatedly over the years after reading negative predictions on an upcoming game.RutgersAl: "upsets happen!"
RutgersAl: "we don't have the funding to pull off upsets."
....these 5 losses alone should be enough to fire him. PERIOD.
"It's really telling as to what level of coach he is. He can never beat anyone he shouldn't."Upsets happen all the time! Except Schiano can never upset anyone.
He routinely gets beat by teams with less than, along with teams that have as much. Teams that have a little or a lot more? Fuggethaboutit
It's really telling as to what level of coach he is. He can never beat anyone he shouldn't.
Many of us were huge fans and supporters of Greg during 1.0, even when he should’ve done a lot better in a few seasons (2006, 2007 and 2008 without question), but I was highly skeptical of bringing him back and all the reasons I listed at the time proved out to be true. It sucks, it really does, I have nothing personal whatsoever against the man, but it just isn’t happening and it’s time to move on. It’s that simple.Nuts : "upsets happen!" is a phrase I used repeatedly over the years after reading negative predictions on an upcoming game.
Also complained about lack of funding support , until that was said to be wrong and now just disappointed about the funds not being used intelligently after seeing some of the messages about how Rutgers seems not to have known how to finance a winner under the previous ADs
Before this year I was Mr. Positive, not so much of that
