I will admit I’m ignorant here, is that a realm or area where fraud is a real charge? And lying isn’t considered free speech? Like, are polls regulated like that?

(For the record, I am not condoning anything, just think it’s funny how often people are ok with their side doing something, just not the other)

Yea I don’t know if it’s actually fraud. But it’s blatantly obvious that the poll was a sham intended to falsely show support for Kamala.

It was considered one of the more reputable polls before this and was sooooo far off of reality, and even off from other polls, that it had to be intentional.

At the very least, her and her poll’s credibility are destroyed. Assuming she was ready to retire and was okay with this in exchange for a bag.

Absolutely no issue with any of that. And I would think as a consequence people would and should lose faith in the companies work, which in turn means less people/companies/campaigns should hire them, etc.

Certainly understand consequences.

Just think it’s ironic people that previously were free speech at all costs are now against misinformation if they don’t agree with it or it doesn’t benefit “their side”

That is the very definition of fraud. So, you know it is actually fraud.

Fraud: wrongful or criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain

1) She was wrong
2) She intended to decieve
3) She wanted political and personal gain

If you think that embarrasses me you're wrong. Maybe we should just call them Fu** Trump rallies to make them more accurate.
Or you could call them the old, single, childless, white, cat lady rallies. That’s more appropriate.

Interesting this comes after he visited Mar-A-Lago and Trump last week. Trump said he asked him to commit to free speech. Credit to Zuck for a full response. At least he realizes he got cucked unlike some of the left. That MMA might be doing him some good.
Why would someone express objection to being fact checked? Could it be because that someone is an inveterate liar who wants to tell his lies with zero pushback or accountability? I think it is.

Why would someone exclude members of the press from meetings, press conferences and events that such members of the press routinely attend, and later claim it was due to "national security" concerns? Could it be because that someone's legal advisors informed him that excluding members of the press due to his dissatisfaction with the news reports they filed is not a valid legal reason? I think it is.

Mark Cuckerberg is a Trump toady of the first order. He rarely has an original thought. This move is likely to transform Facebook into something resembling X or Truth Social: a font of MAGA distortions, fabrications and rumors.

Another highlight to opening the platform to droves of maga disinformation agents is the campers will be told they're at a resort for a vacation and they'll be none the wiser.
maga disinformation...if you like your doctor you can keep your doctor, if you get the vaccine you won't get the virus, the inflation is transitory, the border is secure....you mean that MAGA disinformation. You know, if you'd open your mental aperture just a little bit you'd discover that your party has been less than forthright with the American people about what's actually going on.

I can't wait to see all the calculations put out by supporters of Medicare for all showing us how this simple step is going to save all of us money, make access to medical treatment better, insure everyone, eliminate the rising uses of emergency rooms, make access to critical treatment better, and the best part, be paid for by somebody else.. haven't e been down that road before?

What gives him the right to sue a pollster because he doesn't like the results? It is not a statistical impossibility that the sampling was different than the results of the vote, but even if it was fraudeulent, a poll is just a poll and isn't responsible for his win/loss. GD man, you'll give him a pass for anything, no matter how absurd.

The inmates are completely taking over the asylum and his disgusting news conference today was an omen for the most nauseating, incomprehensively stupid four years in our history to come. God help us
It might be the constitution that gives him the right. You can use anybody you want, it might not make it through a first hearing but you at least have the right

You really don’t see the irony? So you’re saying the poll was misinformation and they should be stopped from sharing it?
well dpic, has no problem with sharing the poll, but Trump has no right to sue if it's, in his opinion, inaccurate (not sure where you come down on Trump's right to sue). That seems a little one sided.

Give it six months and America will be remorseful for what they did. They'll be begging the Dems to come back.
the Dems will be back in about 4 months. Let's remember all the things the democrats are going to do to "right the ship".... lower inflation leading to lower gas prices, lower grocery prices, lower prescription drugs, Child care tax credits, reduced deficits, fix social security, end wealth inequity etc., etc., etc.

I can't wait for all the rationalizations about why those things don't happen during the term the democrats were begged to come back. You're an intelligent person....yet for some reason you can't get your head around the fact that neither party right now can correct all the problems without the other

isn't that an expected outcome of free speech?

isn't it interesting that folks like Zuckerberg or musk were "darlings" of the left at one point but all of a sudden when they agree with the trump administration on a issue like censorship or the need for fiscal sanity - issues most of us support - that they become "cucks" to quote Dpic73 ?

What type of fraud?
Fraud of data manipulation.

Is it illegal, I don’t know, that’s not my claim.

I claim she manipulated the data and that is fraud. I think the numbers speak for themselves, they fell well outside any statistical margin of error and, therfore, fraud is a fair accusation and probably provable if you had the raw data.

I'll be honest, I didn't even recognize this thread title when I was quoted this morning and first business day is always busy for me so probably won't do a refresher this morning.

This ^^^^ one post illustrates why it is important to:

1. Have a fully staffed Internal Revenue Service; and (more importantly)

2. Have a President who is not willing to give away the store (in terms of tax breaks) to folks who donate to one of his many slush funds (e.g., campaign fund, inauguration fund, etc.)
