Lost was a game changer; and yes, the whole was less than the sum of its parts but the parts were some of the best things I’ve seen ever. It’s below White Lotus on this list…SMH.

I think I gave it another year after that.

It was just so different and so in your face. All the split screens and the clock. Kiefer - miserable human being that he probably is - was perfectly cast.

Some of the torture for information scenes were so intense, I'm surprised even Fox got away with them.

So many shows on this list are ones that I started but never could get into enough to finish. Breaking Bad (very interesting, edgy, and…different…just didn't "grab" me enough to keep going), Game Of Thrones (too much violence, gratuitous doggie-style sex, and just too much going on at once), The Americans (very intriguing and interesting but for some reason lost interest), Battlestar Galactica (great remake but just didn’t get engaged enough to binge), Stranger Things (too weird), and lastly, Mad Men (utterly awesome but lost interest somewhere around season 4 or so, would like to rewatch sometime). I agree with Downton Abbey, should be ranked higher, my wife watched this (she loves period dramas) and I was very impressed with the cinematography, good writing, and good acting. Some great lines, especially from the Dowager. I am a bit surprised that my favorite Apple TV shows aren’t on there, including Foundation, Pluribus, and For All Mankind. I’m also a bit surprised that 12 Monkeys didn’t make the cut. I also thought Arrow and The Flash were good shows, too.

I tried watching The Wire, but it was just too depressing and gritty. My idea of “entertainment” isn’t watching the underbelly of a decaying city (Baltimore).

Community was maybe the last network comedy before the PC police shut everything down (good news is streaming shows like Tires and HBO’s Righteous Gemstones don’t give a sh*t about PC) - had an amazing cast and could dip into meta comedy without effort. That Allison Brie was also on Mad Men really gives this scene some extra juice. And they did stuff like this all the time. Crime it’s not on this list.

I WANT to watch the Americans, but can’t get rolling on it. Have started and stopped 3 times. It has everything I should like - if that makes sense (set in time period I grew up in, centered around the US-USSR rivalry which governed everything in global politics then, great cast, etc). Just can’t get fully invested

I'm happy Justified made the list...I wish Persons of Interest or The Blacklist had as those were two fun and creative watches. (OK they were not as good as the Great British Baking Show,,lol).

The omission of 24 is a true national crisis. I wish they would have one more season of 24...Jack deserved better than a Russian torture fest.
