I love how the anti-CC handles are doing a 360, puking, and then doing another 180 on the relevance of +/- as a f***ing worthwhile stat.

When CC struggles or they lose, they're ALL about +/- and other bullsh** made up fancy, unnecessarily "inside basketball", technical jargon metrics like f***ing win shares.............

When CC puts up a +36 and they win, then black Twitter is all about putting a negative spin on it, and how +/- all of the sudden ISN'T that important and how her numbers were over-inflated, or while another player's +/- was lower, it was far more impressive, etc etc etc...........

And I just want to put my hand on each one of their shoulders and be like:

That's goal line moving for you.

What really matters more is +/- per minute. If you play the most minutes in a blowout victory your +/- is going to be big. Or play the least minutes in a blowout loss it won't be as small as others. That needs to be normalized against minutes on the floor.

For instance, the per minute stats for Clark are
.395 Points (tied for 6th highest on the team)
.128 Rebounds (tied for 6th highest on the team)
.325 Assists (highest on the team)
.081 Turnovers (2nd worst on the team)
1.093 +/- (highest on the team)

Paige has
.442 Points (5th highest on the team)
.081 Rebounds (3rd worst on the team)
.163 Assists (2nd highest on the team)
.058 Turnovers (tied for 3rd worst on the team)
.837 +/- (2nd highest on the team)

Gray has
.197 Points (10th on the team, only players worse are Citron and Iriafen)
.046 Rebounds (worst on the team)
.104 Assists (5th highest on the team)
.047 Turnovers (tied for 5th highest on the team)
.477 +/- (9th highest on the team)

Long story short, the team is increasing the lead more than twice as fast with Clark on the floor as it does with Gray on the floor. The score is increasing .25 points per minute faster with her than with the 2nd highest player on the team, which is crazy considering how much time on the court the two have shared. Means that when Clark is on with PB off that rate skyrockets even more. Clark is racking up assists twice as fast as the nearest player on the team. And her turnover rate isn't even the worst on the team, that honor goes to Reese with PB just one spot behind Clark.

Even with this tournament being a cold-shooting stretch for Clark, she's still one of the most impactful people on the floor for Team USA.

Caitlin is the best point guard on the planet.

She makes over $16M annually.

They eventually will have to get over it.

It's pretty obvious who she's referring to. Just another example of how much of a distraction Sophie can be.
Maybe she's forgotten how she got all the pub she's enjoying now? If it hadn't been for her being Clarks "body guard" a couple of years ago, Sophie be just another face in the WNBA. A pretty face, but just another face in the crowd....

Sophie says there's one person on the court who's guilty of ball watching and not putting in the effort to rebound. Both of which are things CC has been guilty of a lot this year.

It's a pretty obvious shot.
She said "there's always one person" not on script. She is not referring to any one player. Billings is at least one of the prime suspects. You never pass up a chance to post something negative about CC.

Sophie's the one taking a shot at CC to grow her podcast and you're mad at me for calling it out? Lol.

No, only in your mind! Yes Clark is guilty, but I believe she was speaking of A player. For example, she’s talking of someone who doesn’t rebound, you think she’s talking about Clark? No one on the Fever are boxing out, that’s why they are piss poor rebounding TEAM.

And nobody else? Gee. In Clark's last 5 games, she's averaged 4 rebs/game. Must be somebody else.

In Billings' last five she averaged 2.5 per game. Could be her.

In Clark's case I want to give her the benefit of the doubt on defense. She has to be ready to get the ball out in transition. If the bigs aren't rebounding, they can't get out on the break.
