Game Thread: Northwestern vs. South Dakota State

[catcrazy]

What's up with Rahouski. So far not impressed. Single-handedly stalled our momentum

[JustGary]

Not a great pass by Chiles and some alligator arms by Wagner didn’t help.

Chiles threw it so that Wagner was the only one who could catch it. Wagner not impressive.

Unless they’re moving a bunch of guys around due to the EO injury, he’s a backup

[bringbacktherantboard]

Very sloppy with penalties so far.

[loyolacat]

why isnt oratakoa at left guard??????? who is at center?

[catcrazy]

He is injured. Why we can't we have nice things. Injured before first game no bueno

Uh, chiles out it up high on a route coming back at the LOS so Wagner was gonna get hit from behind even if he initially caught it.

[phatcat_rivals223240]

Again let’s get the taller WRs involved…

I'm a huge Eligon fan. Perhaps he's not getting open

[JustGary]

Our interior D-Line looks very shaky.

Dammit. We are already thin as a rope on OL

[TheC]

I thought that was on us. Nvmnd

[AdamOnFirst]

And now Gant out too? We’re running out of d linemen

[phatcat_rivals223240]

Now a DT injury. Yikes

[TheC]

Good redzone stop!

[AdamOnFirst]

Offense needs a nice response

[eddie_gocats]

Dang no Migo and Kilbane…

[Rodenthater]

They’re taking control

[AdamOnFirst]

Honog doesn’t lack athleticism! Not at all.

[catcrazy]

Let's see but we have more talent and need to impose our will. How do we have so many injuries in preseason? That's crazy

[TheC]

Quit throwing to Wagner!

[JustGary]

Sawchuck is a nice addition to the running backs. I’m a bit worried that Wagner seems a bit behind on every play to him.

[TheC]

I worry that Chiles can't anticipate the routes. He holds onto the ball so much.

[AdamOnFirst]

Komo held the **** out of the blitzer and still couldn’t stop him

[AdamOnFirst]

Chiles just straight out wiffed him that last throw. Not that Wagner hasn’t also been unimpressive. Looks like last year: fast but the rest is questionable.

[bringbacktherantboard]

Good, at least we know we can make a field goal.

[eddie_gocats]

Little bit late… props to Braun for the challenge

[AdamOnFirst]

Good, at least we know we can make a field goal.

Kleather has a big leg and an excellent history of accuracy.

[eddie_gocats]

Damn love our Sky Team!

[AdamOnFirst]

Absolutely A+ breakups by Walters and Ore

[Jaguar 88]

Huge improvement needed before B1G play, but it is the opening game, so no biggie yet.

[TheC]

Don't have a punter

[AdamOnFirst]

The **** is that punt

[TheC]

Both lines look weak against a FCS team

[989bjm989]

We better start tackling.

[catcrazy]

That's awful. Kleather is going to have to punt

[catcrazy]

Btw has Dehnicke been targeted?

[JustGary]

We are not wrapping up on the initial hit. We got to do a better job at that.

[loyolacat]

Don't have a punter

wasnt he the #1 ranked punter coming out of high school?

[bringbacktherantboard]

Both lines look weak against a FCS team

You know this particular FCS team would beat several FBS teams... Currently ranked #2.

[TheC]

Chiles has to throw the damn ball. I think we see why he struggled at MSU.
