QB Battle: Jeremy Hecklinski appears to have passed Hank Brown on the Depth Chart. QB was NOT a Transfer Portal Priority per KF on Dec 18

LOL....the irony. You are replying exactly how we knew you would. Why can't you simply apologize for lying?

Instead, we get this drivel. You have really lost it.

As I said in my prior post, be sure to take your meds today.

Good luck, child.

And now back to the QB discussion. Hopefully you will post something useful and not littered with untruths moving forward. Not holding my breath, though.
In respect for the rest of the members here I'll not continue this conversation, because everyone knows it will only lead to a deluge of your posts acting like a silverback gorilla trying to establish your dominance, like anyone cares. I'll just leave it at this. look up the word "narcissist" in the dictionary, and then be sure to attach your photo.....

Got three games to figure this shiit out.

Agreed. And we better not stumble vs Clown U this year at home.

Are we probably looking at another 8-4 (maybe 9-3) type season with these the 4 most likely losses?

at Michigan
Ohio State
at Washington
at Illinois

I just hope people don't panic if we start off 3-3. Ok, who am I kidding; they will.

I do like when our ONE BYE WEEK is:

Sat Sep 26...... ......at Michigan
Sat Oct 3:..... ...........vs Ohio State (at Kinnick)
Fri Oct 9:........ ........at Washington
Sat Oct 17:...........BYE WEEK

Sat Oct 24:.... .......at Minnesota

The irony. You clearly are a child operating in an adult's body. At least we all know what to expect from you.

Again, you lied twice in one post, ironically claiming I had lied. And instead of being man enough to apologize, you lost your damn mind and are now posting nonstop drivel.

Now, kindly, do the rest of the board a favor and STFU. But you won't, will you? Prove me wrong.

Truly a 2008 QB situation here...not sure the best way to handle if they are truly that close and Lester isn't chopped liver evaluating QBs. Get it figured out by ISU game so the clear 1 is consuming all practice and 90%+ of game reps. We will def need that experience by B10 season given the opening schedule.

It's hilarious that NIU is saying the same thing, they have 3 QBs who might play...I remember Brohm did this vs. Iowa circa '22 with 3 diff Purdon't QBs with packages in their win at Kinnick.

I know this - I'm about as excited for the offense as a whole than I've been in a long time..damn, just seeing LJ without pads on and the potential of the run game + play action with our best depth at WR in many, many years is awesome. Staff is very bullish on the OL with two sure fire NFL picks + Leighton being compared to Stephens already that makes 3 plus the other talent in the OL room. Get the QB figured out and let's go....I demand it!

Crazy that Jake Christensen was the starter over Ricky Stanzi to start out the 2008 season.

And how is that 18 years ago? LOL

I think both guys handle themselves well in the Q&A. I would assume we will see a focus on establishing the running game and physicality. That's KF. But I also see the TEs and WRs getting engaged fairly quick. If they can't handle our ground game it is over and let the fireworks start because our OC seems like the type of guy he wants to use the run to set up the pass and wants to take advantage of that....not by continued running all the time like we may have done in the past. Looking forward to the live action on Saturday.....just wish it wasn't a trip to the equator.

I hope they start out mixing in some read options and QB draws to get whoever is playing into the flow of the game.

It will be interesting to see how much Lester shows. He has stated that he has plays that he's never used before because he didn't have the players (now he does).

Yeah, watching those bounce passes from Christensen to receivers sure got old. In this case, if we had such evidence I would fuss more. JC was part of that "highly recruited" era where we all really wanted it to work.

And then I think of that 2009 season, and what could have been had Stanzi not been injured vs Northwestern....

During that era when it seemed like Pat Fitzgerald Nerd-Worsten just kept taking down the Hawks. Sadly saw that hit in the end zone from the northwest 10 yard line stands.

Full text of tweet:

Kirk Ferentz told Gary Dolphin tonight he has "sort of an answer, but not revealed" regarding whether Jeremy Hecklinski or Hank Brown will get the first snap Saturday vs. Northern Illinois.

"We haven't cut the pie up yet and figured out how we're going to divide it, but both guys need to get an ample opportunity to get out there in game competition."

Is Marvin McNutt right?

I think that plan is fine IF you allow the QB who plays the second half to have his opportunities to throw the ball enough to get a really good feel of his work throwing to each level. If we were to get a decent lead and then sit on the ball the 2nd half, then that's not a fair look for QB2 if you split them by halves.

I will die on the hill that Stanzi was facemasked vs. NW on the injury and fumble TD -- that would've been wiped out and Hawks win. AND/OR the dumb holding call on Wegher's TD run late in the game that was obviously not a hold.

he played football.

he's covered football for a long time.
And neither of those qualifies him to dissect fundamentals or scheme. I like Dochterman and enjoy his takes about recruiting, etc. but in no way, shape, or form should he be considered an expert on the actual ins and outs of QB play.

I disagree. And he was actually there watching Hank's poor footwork and wild inaccuracy.
