Like the announcers said, this is one of those games you hate to see anyone lose, those kids on both sides left everything on that field...

My daughters volleyball team beat the previously undefeated and pre-season nationally ranked #6 Sandhills Community 3 sets to 1
then swept some team from Guilford. I didnt get home to right at kickoff and listened to an instant class between Shelby and Crest
Congrats again Charger fans, once again the bragging rights go over to Boiling Springs.....
Watch out 3A were coming

What an incredible game by both teams. Fought to the very end. Shelby had a lot of chances but that is why you play the game. Congratulations to booth teams and to the Chargers for the win.

I heard Degree and immediately turned it off. Is anything good on KTC? I feel dumber every time I listen to them. The only good announces are the Shelby and Crest guys.

My take on game..
Both offenses. Need work still both O-lines need work. And the rest is a work in progress.
Both D are as good as advertised, that alone will help alot till offenses.get up to par.
Crest has a advantage in Kicking game..

honor that you claimed in this thread. But first, congrats on the hard fought win.
It was an instant classic, as SL stated, in our storied series. One of the best, from a fan’s perspective.
Enjoy your 5 straight. But it is not unique in this series.
But football purests saw that Shelby outplayed Crest everywhere but on the scoreboard. And in limiting mistakes.
It’s all part of the game, so no excuses here. In many ways we beat ourselves. We have to clean that up, and we will.
That is one of the reasons why we play you and KM. Great higher classification competition exposes your strengths and weaknesses.
But we have bigger fish to fry, and we never confuse a loss to a county rival to our focus on the primary pursuit of another State Championship.
Of course we want to defeat you, play as hard as we did tonight. But win or lose, we will not put that score inside a Championship ring.
Again, congratulations. Go win States again.
So now about honor.
We want your take on the incident where your QB, visible to all, gave the finger to the Shelby fans on his run to the Shelby sideline.
The play was to leave you with a third and long, but his act drew an unsportsmanlike penalty for 15 more yards.
And this was at a critical point in the third quarter. The third down failed and forced a punt.
We noted as he went the sidelines, head coach confronted him and the discussion moved to the tent.
But the QB was back playing on the next series.
Our opinion?
There is not a head coach in all of Shelby’s football history that would have permitted a Shelby QB that did such a no class act to return to the field.
I am confident other Shelby texters here will confirm that.
So tell us rulz. And think about this before you fire off some stupid remark that ducks the serious question or references “ stern warnings”. This is different. Public. In front of the whole stadium. Representing the school, the program, the culture.
What was the honorable thing to do?

Congratulations on the win Sausages. I don’t run from my prediction. I picked Shelby and you asked me why and I was wrong. You guys gutted it out tonight and that is what championship programs do. I still think Shelby is a load and may not lose again this year, however tonight you guys found a way to get it done.
Geez, 344 yards with all of those negatives is rather impressive especially against crest. Shelby cleans it up will be nasty
