Burrows won a national title at lsu (apparently his number hasn't been worn since he left so that is part of the butt hurt here IMO) and won the Heisman.
Well, Daniels also won the Heisman, you know.

That’s basically his issue. LSU never again gave out the number of its two other Heisman winners (Billy Cannon and Joe Burrow) and for other past greats. And it’s also retired numbers in other sports (including Shaq, Maravich, and Pettit in basketball).

Daniels thought he was in the same club as those guys. Kiffin thought differently.

Retiring numbers is pretty ridiculous when you think about it. I feel like fans are smart enough to know that you are commemorating the player, not the number.

I always thought baseball was ridiculous to retire #42 across the board. Nothing like bringing up memories of Jackie R by making sure nobody in all of MLB wears his number again. But then on Jackie Robinson day everybody wears #42.

So everybody can wear the same number and it doesn't cause an issue then numbers aren't needed in baseball overall.

If Daniels thought he was in the same club then he’s an idiot or a narcissist. No other way to put it. The other two won national championships. Daniels bailed on LSU and didn’t even play in their bowl game.

He needs to let that sh— go now, I didn’t know he was like that, thought he was more mature than that. People will remember this above everything he accomplished, petty, greed.

Not a great prelude to his NFL future. Maybe all the straight line rushes have resulted in enough CTE to get caught up in this. I'm selling on this guy ever becoming much.

What a C U Next Tuesday. I hope they never retire his jersey and tell him they will no longer associate him with the school ever again. No wonder him and Brandon Ayiuk were friends.
