Watching that last play a few more times, I have no idea what the plan was. Just CC by herself on one side of the court, with A'ja in her face, making a desperate lob pass to KK that had a 1-in-10 chance of working. If it gets over A'ja, it probably gets intercepted by KK's defender.

Yeah the obvious play there is to dribble backward or sideways into any space and launch a DEEP three with 1 second on the shot clock that hits the rim. The airtime of the ball and its rebound would've killed another 3-4 seconds while your team runs back to the centerline (don't fight for rebound, just get back). The other team would've had very little time to bring the ball up the court and get a good look. Instead she picks up her dribble with 4 seconds on the clock and tries a really dumb pass and suddenly they're on a fast break with her team unable to defend.

Unfortunately, CC was a turnover waiting to happen all night and it was probably poetic justice that her last one cost the Fever the game.

She had a taller defender.... backing up and shooting most likely has the same result as that turnover.... Would have been blocked and a run out.

Veteran move by Aja to guard CC, when the Fever went into stall ball and got Caitlin stuck on an island.

Gotta try to drive sooner or have teammates cutting towards you to help. DON'T THROW THE BALL AWAY CAITLIN

I watch a ton of WTA and this is 100% true. It’s obviously slower than the ATP but it’s clean and fun to watch. WNBA is nothing like it
